"Yes, we can play a game," Sierra chuckled, "but that's not how decisions like this get made, you know."

"Well," Nellie pouted, pulling a copy of Candy Land from the stuffed shelf of board games, "We'll see."

Sierra smiled and sat down, shaking her head. At least the girl wasn't arguing about her bedtime, as a lot of her babysitting charges did. Really, Nellie seemed a very mature child for her age, which was probably why she was arguing about needing Goodnites for bed, and wanting to wager wearing them on the outcome of a game. Sierra was certain that had been part of the instructions she'd been given, though, so it was going to happen either way. She only wished the girl's mother had stuck around long enough to tell Sierra that in front of Nellie, so the girl couldn't argue about it now, but, according to Nellie, Sierra had just missed her as she left.

Sierra had been running late, which wasn't particularly unusual for her. She hadn't gotten a call, or a text, so she hoped Nellie's mom wasn't mad at her, but she knew that was already one strike against her. She didn't want to risk another by letting Nellie go to bed without her Goodnite, or else she would have been a bit more sympathetic to her. After all, she knew what it was like to need a little protection from time to time, or at least to have people think she did.

Of course, in her case, it was a little worse, she thought, considering she was an adult, and Nellie was just a kid. She'd never been able to get a straight answer from Nellie or her mother about exactly how old she was, oddly enough, but she assumed the girl was about eight. She was a cute little thing, and very helpful around the house, and even with making supper, which Sierra had forgotten about briefly, and nearly burned. Of course, being mature for her age didn't exempt her from having a bedwetting problem, as Sierra knew all too well.

"Here, you can be the yellow piece," Nellie announced, shoving it at Sierra. "You're blonde. I'll be the red one."

"Okay," Sierra nodded. She'd been afraid to choose a piece herself, since she'd sat for plenty of kids who threw tantrums if they didn't get to use the one they wanted, even though, when she asked them initially, they claimed not to care. Doling them out by hair color made as much sense as anything else.

It had been a while since Sierra had played Candy Land, and, as they went through the game, she realized why. It was very simple, the kind of game she doubted many kids nowadays would find interesting. Nellie was probably a little old for it, but she seemed into it, and Sierra wasn't going to judge. It was a very cute looking board, at least, and Sierra kept getting good luck with her card draws, so it was fun enough.

Nellie, on the other hand, was getting all the worst cards, getting stuck on two licorice spaces, and being pulled back halfway across the board to the Gumdrop Mountains when she had finally broken free of the second. "This isn't fair!" she pouted, crossing her arms as she moved her piece back, staring at Sierra's, nearly at the finish line, then up into her babysitter's eyes. "You should let me win!"

For a moment, Sierra wondered if she was right. She'd just been playing, not thinking about the fact that it was against a child. "I think you're old enough that I don't need to do that," she told the girl after a moment, hoping it wouldn't lead to the first meltdown of the night. "Besides, we're doing this for a reason, remember?"

Nellie frowned, wiggling a little, her eyes narrowing before staring up into Sierra's again. "No, you need to let me win!"

"The game is all luck," Sierra shrugged. "As long as I don't pull an orange, or a location card, there really isn't anything I can do about it, sweetie. Just so you know, you would have had to wear your Goodnites anyway. I told you, we don't make decisions like that based on games."

"And I told you," Nellie snapped, "I don't need them! I don't even have any!"

Sierra very much doubted that, but she decided not to argue about it until she reached out and flipped the top card, seeing that it did, indeed, let her win the game. "All right," she declared, "Time to get ready for bed. You go brush your teeth, okay? I'll meet you in your room."

Nellie glared at her, stomping off to the bathroom in a huff. Sierra shook her head with a quiet chuckle. No matter how mature for her age the girl was, she was still a child, and it was almost bedtime. That, combined with losing a game, would probably make anyone cranky.

She headed to the girl's bedroom, pulling open the top drawer of her dresser, finding some cute, pink PJs in there, along with some panties, but, to her surprise, no Goodnites, just as Nellie had told her. She frowned, digging a little deeper, wondering if maybe she was confused, and had mixed up clients. Did Nellie really not need them? Or was she just out, and her mother had forgotten to tell Sierra that?

She shot the woman a text message, then quickly searched the rest of the dresser drawers, just in case, before Nellie appeared in the doorway. "See?" she stuck her tongue out. "I don't need them."

"Nellie," Sierra frowned, "did you hide your Goodnites?"

"No!" Nellie rolled her eyes. "I. Do. Not. Need. Them."

"Hmm." Sierra had her doubts. "Well, I think I have one in my bag, anyway, so I'll go grab that."

She immediately regretted thinking out loud like that, as Nellie asked, "Why do you have a Goodnite?"

Sierra blushed as she hurried back to the living room. "I-I'm a babysitter!" she told the girl, trailing behind her. "We have to be prepared for everything!" She hoped Nellie bought that, as she opened up her bag and began to search, annoyed to see she'd been wrong.

"Oh, well," Nellie shrugged. "Guess I don't need one after all!"

"Nellie," Sierra turned to look her in the eye. "I know it can be embarrassing to have this problem, but you can't get rid of it this way. I want you to tell me the truth, sweetie. Did you hide your Goodnites?"

"No!" Nellie stomped her foot. "I keep telling you, I don't need them, you stupid...!" She cut herself off, probably to keep from saying anything that would get her in trouble, although she didn't look scared about having just insulted her babysitter. Sierra also couldn't tell, for sure, if the girl was lying or not. She was a hard kid to read, sometimes, and now was one of them.

"I guess it's a good thing there's a drug store up the street," Sierra said, getting to her feet and grabbing her bag. "Do you need help putting your shoes on?"

"No, I can tie my shoes on my own," Nellie rolled her eyes, trudging off to do so. When she returned, Sierra helped her into her coat, which she also insisted she could do by herself, then took her hand and led her outside. It was dark, even more than Sierra had suspected, since there were heavy curtains over every window in the house, but the moon was out, and the streetlights were lit, so it wasn't too bad. Honestly, it wasn't even that cold, for as early in the year as it was, either. It was a nice night for a short walk.

Sierra led Nellie straight to the diaper aisle once they reached the store. She expected the girl to argue with her, get even more upset, but, as Nellie surveyed the packages, she seemed to accept the truth, and give up on her little game. "I'm sorry I called you stupid," she said. "Maybe we ought to get them, after all."

Sierra glanced down at the girl, her heart melting a little. "Sweetie, it's okay," she told her, giving her a hug. "I know you were just feeling a little cranky and didn't mean it. I'm not mad at you. That's not why I'm making you wear them, you know that, don't you?"

Nellie stared down at her feet, scuffing one against the floor. "Yeah, I guess."

Sierra gave the girl another hug. Poor little thing, she thought. Part of her wanted to be nice, and skip the Goodnites, but if Nellie needed them, she really ought to get them. Waking up in a wet bed was even worse than having to go to bed in a Goodnite, as Sierra knew from experience.

"All right," she said finally, grabbing the package. "Thank you for being a big girl about it, sweetie, that's very mature of you. Do you want to get a treat?"

She hadn't been told she could give Nellie a bedtime snack, but she also hadn't been told she couldn't, and she really did feel like the girl had earned it. She'd expected her to pick out a candy bar or something, but there was a small cooler with some wrapped ice cream cones and sandwiches near the register, and Nellie zeroed in one that, picking out a Drumstick.

Sierra let the clerk scan that first, giving it to Nellie to start munching on while they finished the transaction. The clerk was a girl, probably a year or two younger than Sierra, but, like almost everyone, taller than her, and very pretty. "Aww," she said as she rang up the Goodnites, leaning over the counter to smile down at Nellie, "You know, I still wet the bed when I was your age, too. It's okay."

"Huh?" Nellie glanced up from her ice cream, confused. "Oh, those? No, those are for her."

"What?!" It took Sierra a moment to realize Nellie was talking about her. She turned bright red, glancing back at the clerk, flustered. "Sh-She's joking!"

"Nuh-uh," Nellie shook her head. "She's supposed to be babysitting me, but she wet herself all over my floor, and now we had to come buy her diapers so she won't do it again."

"N-No, I didn't!" Sierra gasped, stomping her foot. "Nellie, stop lying! That isn't funny!"

There was no way the clerk could buy that story, or so Sierra thought until she looked back up at the girl, saw her staring down, into Nellie's eyes, shaking her head. "That is just sad," she said, turning to Sierra. "You should be the one getting babysat, young lady!"

Sierra squirmed, getting reminded of just how much taller than her the younger girl was as she glared down at her disapprovingly. "It isn't true!" Sierra insisted.

"You need to make sure you tell your parents all about this," the clerk turned back to Nellie. "She doesn't deserve to get paid, if you were the one looking after her. If anything, all she deserves is a good spanking."

"No, I don't!" Sierra squealed.

"Yeah," Nellie nodded, nibbling at her ice cream. "My Mommy and Daddy don't believe in spankings, though."

"Well, I do," the clerk declared, and, before Sierra could react, she'd stepped out of her spot and shoved Sierra down, earning a gasp from the older girl as she was bent over the counter, backside sticking out, facing the rest of the store, then a squeak as she felt her skirt being lifted, and her panties yanked down to her ankles.

"What are you doing?!" Sierra demanded, trying to stand, only to feel the clerk's hand pushing her down, pinning her to the counter. "D-Don't you... Ow!" She yelped, feeling the clerk's other hand swing down, smacking her hard on her exposed bottom. "St-Stop it!" she whimpered, squirming from foot to foot, face burning. She didn't remember seeing many other people in the store, thankfully, but anyone who came in would easily see her there, getting spanked.

"Oh, I don't think so," the clerk told her, delivering another swat, then another, bringing tears to Sierra's eyes as she wriggled helplessly. She could already feel her backside start to warm up from the assault, and the girl had just gotten started.

"N-Nellie!" Sierra sniffled, trying not to cry in front of her charge. "T-Tell her you were joking!" When she craned her neck back to look at the girl, she was still happily eating her treat, watching the show, making no move to stop it as the clerk continued spanking her sitter silly.

"There," the clerk finally declared, letting go of Sierra, who collapsed over the counter, sobbing and rubbing her swollen, pink bottom. "Now, I think we ought to get you dressed properly," she said, reaching for the Goodnites.

"Do you think those are enough?" Nellie piped up.

The clerk turned to face her, then shook her head. "No, you're right. Come on, bring those with you." She pulled Sierra to her feet, shoving the Goodnites into her arms and leading her, still sniffling, panties still around her ankles, back to the diaper aisle, making her put them back.

"Here," the clerk said, grabbing a package of youth sized diapers, these are much better.

"N-No!" Sierra shook her head, but she was already being dragged back to the counter, where the clerk ripped open the package, pulling one of them out. The packaging bragged they were extra thick, and extra absorbent, and, looking at them, Sierra had no doubt that was true. They were absolutely huge, and pink, and almost more babyish than any of the actual baby diapers she'd seen in the aisle.

The clerk unfolded one, laying it out on the counter, then grabbed Sierra, and, to her surprise, lifted her up, setting her down on the counter, on top of the diaper. The padding did protect her throbbing rear from the hard surface of the counter, but gave her little comfort as she sat there, staring out at the rest of the store watching her as the clerk pulled the diaper into place, taping it snugly up around her.

"I think that suits you much better," the clerk announced, giving the front of the diaper a pat before reaching down, snatching the panties and yanking them off over Sierra's shoes. "You certainly don't deserve these."

"No!" Sierra sniffled, grabbing for them. "Give them back!"

"I don't think she deserves that, either," Nellie suggested, pointing. Before Sierra could figure out what she was talking about, the clerk had grabbed her skirt and yanked that down, too, leaving Sierra sitting on the counter in just her shirt and big, bulging diaper.

The clerk lifted the stunned Sierra back down off the counter, turning her around to face it and giving her one last swat. Through the padding, Sierra could barely feel it, but, since she wasn't prepared for it, and was already so upset, it still prompted a trickle of pee-pee into her waiting diaper, making her glad, once more, for the thickness, or else the clerk might have noticed. "These are perfect for you," the girl told her instead, as she walked back behind the counter, tossing Sierra's clothes into the garbage. "They match your little, spanked bottom just right."

Sierra blushed, squirming. "Oh, and don't worry," the clerk teased. "I made sure to spank far enough down your thighs that everyone will be able to see it, and know what a naughty girl you are. Not like this sweet little angel," she smiled down at Nellie.

"Can I have another ice cream?" Nellie asked, and, of course, the clerk agreed, ringing it up along with the diapers, and waiting for the humiliated Sierra to pay for it all.

"I think you can just carry them," the clerk told Sierra, not giving her a bag, just shoving the package of diapers into her arms. The package was way too big to fit into Sierra's own bag, so she had little choice but to grab it in one arm, blushing as Nellie took her hand, leading her back outside and down the sidewalk again, her diaper fully visible to anyone glancing out their windows, or driving by, as the little girl smugly licked her second ice cream cone of the night.

Sierra really wasn't sure what to do, even once they got back to Nellie's house. She knew she ought to take control again, make Nellie go to bed, but after everything that had happened, she wasn't sure how she could. She stood dumbly by, squirming in her diaper, blushing at the sound of crinkling that followed her every move.

"I-I think it's time for you to go to bed now..." she said finally.

"No," Nellie shook her head. "I don't think so. I was going to, but I'm feeling good now. I feel like a good hunt now."

"Wh-What?" Sierra wrinkled her forehead. "What are you..?"

Nellie chuckled. "Do you really not get it? Accio wand."

Before Sierra could even think to start reaching for her wand, she felt it shoot out of her bag, and into the little girl's hand. "I don't really know how to do much with these," Nellie admitted, twirling the wand around her fingers, "But I've picked up a few tricks over the years, and that is the most useful of them. You witches can be so pesky when you have these."

She slipped the wand into her back pocket, then stepped forward, jabbing at Sierra's diaper with her finger. "Of course, you had it when this happened, so maybe you don't know how to use it, either." She giggled, and Sierra knew immediately why, blushing and staring down at her feet. "Oh, my God," Nellie shook her head. "You used it already, too? You are going to be a fun one."

"I-It was just a little accident," Sierra protested, then shook her head, remembering that wasn't the important part here. "Wh-Who are you, really? What are you?"

"Did you not go to school to learn to use your little wand?" Nellie mocked. "Or did you just not pay attention?" For a moment, Sierra thought the girl was getting taller, but then she realized the girl was floating instead, levitating up so her eyes were level with Sierra's. "I'm a vampire, you silly little witch."

Sierra's eyes widened, and she stepped back, gulping. She did recall learning about them in her Defense Against the Dark Arts class, and she'd seen them in plenty of movies, of course. In the moment, she had no idea how, in real life, they could be defeated, or what their weaknesses were, only that she was, potentially, in a lot of trouble.

"Oh, don't wet your diaper... Any more than you already have," Nellie teased. "I'm not going to bite you. No matter how clueless you may be, I have a policy never to turn someone who might become more powerful than me. It's possible I would have been a witch, if I'd been older when I was turned, or if the schools weren't so prejudiced against my kind, but since you have a wand, I assume you've had some training. And you're too much fun to play with to just kill, even if my glamour doesn't work on you for some reason. I guess because you have magic?" The girl shrugged. "Doesn't matter, I suppose. I don't need that to play with you."

Sierra shook her head. "B-But if you're a vampire, why did you even hire me?"

"I get lonely sometimes," Nellie said. "I like having someone to play games with me from time to time. Sometimes I glamour people to pose as my parents, when I need them to, but even when they know I'm in charge, they still feel like they can boss me around eventually, for some reason. Babysitters usually aren't so bad about that."

"Th-Then it was one of those that called me?" Nellie nodded. "Why did she tell me you needed Goodnites?"

"She didn't," Nellie replied. "I was there when she called, and she didn't mention it. I'm glad you brought it up, though." Sierra blushed. She must have gotten her charges confused after all! "Now," Nellie said, "I'm going to lock you in my guest room while I go get a real snack. Make sure and get some rest, I have lots of games for us to play tomorrow."
