Sierra yawned and stretched, starting to curl back up into a ball, pouting a little at the unfortunately familiar feeling of a wet Goodnite. Maybe Robin had been right, and the stress of travelling had gotten to her, or maybe it was just because she'd gone to bed so early. Either way she didn't really want to think about it right then, so she tried to go back to sleep, only to realize she'd had a much easier time moving around than she had when she went to sleep. Had she squirmed around enough to loosen her blankets?
She felt a small, cool breeze on her bare legs, and her eyes shot open. Quickly, she snatched at her blankets, pulling them back down over herself and blushing as she opened her eyes to see Robin standing over her. "What are you doing?!" she squeaked.
"You can't sleep all day," Robin smiled down at her. "Time to get up!"
Sierra scowled, feeling especially aware of her wet Goodnite now. Was that really what Robin had wanted, or was she trying to check her? Sierra wiggled nervously under the blankets. "I don't have anything to wear!" she pouted.
"Well, we can fix that, but you have to get up first, silly," Robin told her, reaching for the blankets again. "Come on! I already called the front desk, and your suitcase isn't there, but this gives us a great excuse to go shopping!"
Sierra's hands stayed clamped tight on the blanket. "Can't you just go buy me something?" she whined.
"What fun is that?" Robin asked. "We're here to spend time with each other! Now, let's get going! We can't do anything else fun until we take care of this!"
Once again, Robin grabbed at the blankets. "Stop it!" Sierra snapped at her. "I'm not stupid! I know what you're doing! You're just trying to check me because you don't trust me!"
Robin immediately blushed, taking a step away from Sierra's bed. Sierra was surprised that worked, and even felt a little bad for her tone, but at the same time, if it worked, she wasn't that sorry. "That's not what I was doing, I swear!" Robin shook her head. "I didn't even think about that!"
"Sure," Sierra pouted. "I'm not a baby, you know!"
"Of course I do," Robin told her. "We really should get going, though. Could you please get up and get cleaned up?"
"Fine," Sierra nodded, but she couldn't help squirming some more. This more reasonable Robin would have been nice, but Sierra was still going to have to get up, and her shirt wasn't going to come close to hiding the faded designs on her Goodnite. "You're still watching!" she whined, pounding her fists on the bed beside her. "You really don't trust me!"
"No, I do!" Robin promised.
"Then look somewhere else while I get up!" Sierra demanded. "You don't have to watch me every second if you know I'm not a little kid."
Robin gave her a suspicious look, and for a moment, Sierra thought she'd gone too far, but after a moment, the woman said, "Okay," and turned her back to Sierra's bed.
Sierra could hardly believe her luck. She had been sure that wouldn't work, and even now that it had, she wasn't entirely sure she could trust it. She glanced at Robin's back nervously, thinking the woman was about to turn around on her at any moment. There was no sign that was her plan, but how could Sierra know for sure?
"Are you going?" Robin asked, sounding a little annoyed. "We don't have all morning. "
Sierra wanted to point out that they were on vacation, so they pretty much did have all morning to do whatever they wanted, but instead she decided it would be best to seize this opportunity while she still had it. She scrambled out of bed, tugging at her shirt as she dashed for the bathroom. She was almost there, almost free, when Robin said sternly, "And what is this, young lady?"
Sierra froze, ready to start complaining that Robin had looked after all, hoping the woman would feel at least a little guilty about that. Instead, when she turned, she saw that Robin wasn't looking at her, but at her bed. "Come here," Robin demanded. Sierra considered saying no until she added, "Now!" as she pointed at the floor beside her. Her tone was enough to set Sierra's feet in motion, almost despite herself.
"What is this?" Robin asked again, pointing to the bed. Sierra winced as her footsteps slowed the closer she got to the bed, but the wet spot was visible quite quickly. The woman lifted her head to look at Sierra again, this time noticing her sodden undergarments. "And what are these?" she shook her head, stomping over to Sierra and pressing a hand to her Goodnite, making the girl squirm at the wet squish that caused. "How exactly did you expect to keep this a secret?"
Sierra blushed and fidgeted, since there was no good answer to that question. Obviously, in this hotel room, there was nowhere for her to hide the thing without it being seen by Robin. Maybe she could have made another towel skirt and worn it outside so she could change out of it in a store or something. "I-It isn't any of your business!" she declared defiantly.
"Oh, really?" Robin cooked an eyebrow. "Do you think your dad would be happy if I brought his adult daughter home with diaper rash?" Sierra blushed again. Robin sighed, pushing past her and heading into the bathroom for just a moment before emerging with something small clutched in her hand. "Go get cleaned up," she instructed Sierra. "I'll be right back."
Sierra darted into the bathroom as Robin headed for the main door of the hotel room, just in case anyone was passing through the hall when the woman opened it up. She wasn't sure how much good cleaning up was really going to do her, but the thought of getting out of this soaked Goodnite did make her feel a little better, until she began to worry about what she was going to change into afterwards. Actually, things were even worse now, since she had nothing to wear on her lower half at all, except her already used, and leaking, bedwetter pants.
Or so she thought, until she looked around the bathroom and saw a small, neatly folded pile of clothing. She thought it was probably Robin's at first, but when she got closer, it was definitely too small for the woman, not to mention immature. It was a yellow and white checkerboard sundress with a white ribbon with a bow around its rather high waist, and a pair of flip-flops. The dress didn't look all that much longer than her shirt, but it was probably enough of a difference that it wouldn't be quite as humiliating to wear it outside the room. She would still have preferred to have something underneath, though. And where had Robin gotten it from?! It looked exactly like the kind of thing Sierra was so determined not to wear anymore, but unfortunately, there wasn't much of an option.
She sighed, pulling off her shirt, then slipping out of her Goodnite and tossing it into the garbage. She couldn't help but feel nervous as she threw away her only pair of 'underwear', but Robin had said she was going to try to get her old panties, and pants, and shoes and socks, all fixed up, so maybe that's where she was going now. But if that was the plan, why would she have left the dress and sandals for her?
Whatever Robin had in mind, Sierra was completely at her mercy, so there wasn't much she could do about it by just standing around and worrying. She stepped into the shower, trying not to think too much about how she'd just been in there the night before, washing off the results of another accident.
After a few minutes, Sierra heard the hotel door open, and then, a second or two later, the bathroom door did as well. She let out a small gasp, freezing in place. She knew it was probably Robin, but that was almost worse than not knowing. She had visions of the robot ripping aside the curtain and snatching the washcloth away from her, metal tentacles sprouting from her to hold Sierra in place while roughly scrubbing her clean before plucking her out of the tub and over the woman's lap for a spanking, and, finally, a diapering.
Instead, she heard Robin's footsteps approach, then stop for a moment before she asked, "Everything okay in there?"
"Yes!" Sierra replied, maybe a little too quickly.
"Don't dawdle too long in there," Robin instructed, then, to Sierra's relief and surprise, she walked back out and even shut the door behind herself.
Sierra was much less pleased when she stepped out of the shower, however. She dried herself off, then turned to the counter for the dress, only to find that there was something new sitting on top of the dress, something she recognized far too easily. They had a similar fake ribbon across the top, and a design that was also clearly meant to imitate real underwear, but they seemed a little thicker than the Goodnites, and a lot more childish. Cinderella's face was emblazoned across the front, with stars on the crotch, and a picture of a clock in between that Sierra was sure would fade when wet. She had been demoted back to Pull-Ups.
She hoped it was a joke or something, but she didn't dare yell through the wall and ask what the meaning of this was, since that might give Robin an excuse to barge in on her there, still naked. Unfortunately, there really wasn't anything else to choose from at the moment.
She yanked the dress out from under the infantile underthings and slipped it on first, and although it was a bit tight, it did fit. It was actually a little longer than Sierra had feared, but she still disliked the idea of going out in it with nothing underneath. She stared at the Pull-Up still sitting on the counter, getting more and more annoyed the longer she stared. She stomped her foot, not wanting to have to wear it and wanting to demand that Robin give her something else, but without even knowing where she'd produced this from, she had no idea how likely it would be that she could find something more suitable. With her luck if she asked for that, Robin would give her a diaper.
"Do you need any help in there?" Robin called from the other side of the wall impatiently.
"No!" Sierra shot back. She looked again at the Pull-Ups, then sighed and picked them up gingerly. They seemed a little different from usual, a bit thicker, but otherwise she was quite familiar with how they felt. Back in her babysitting days, she'd helped plenty of kids into and out of these, and during her adventures she'd been made to wear them a few times, but it was still humiliating to realize that, at the moment, this was all she had to wear. She stomped her foot again in frustration, then poutily stepped into them, sliding them up her legs and snugly into place.
She looked at herself in the mirror with a sulk, making sure that the dress his any sign of padding. Even without being able to see anything, just knowing they were there somehow made her look more childish, and she certainly felt that way, too.
"Sierra!" Robin called impatiently.
"I'm coming!" Sierra huffed, realizing how long she'd been blushing and staring at herself. She didn't want to go out like this, but what choice did she have? She sighed, tugging at the skirt of the dress and stepping out of the bathroom, nearly bumping right into Robin, who was waiting for her there.
"Are you all set?" she asked. Sierra blushed, feeling sure that the robot was asking about the Pull-Up, and nodded. She half expected Robin to lift her skirt and double check, but she just nodded as well and stepped back into the main part of the room, gesturing towards the little table. "Look at how nice you look in that dress! You should show those legs of yours off more. Now, I got you some breakfast from downstairs before I got you up. It's probably getting cold by now, but you should still eat something."
Sierra looked over at the table, wrinkling her nose as she saw a bowl of oatmeal and a banana sitting there, along with a small styrofoam cup of apple juice. The banana didn't look bad, but she didn't trust oatmeal, especially coming from Robin. "I'm not hungry," she replied.
Robin glared down at her. "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, young lady. I keep telling your father he needs to make sure you eat better, but obviously he hasn't."
"I eat just fine!" Sierra pouted defensively. She was an adult, she was perfectly capable of being in charge of what and when she ate! Her father didn't need to be involved, and Robin certainly didn't!
"Oh, really?" Robin raised an eyebrow. "All I ever see you do more than pick at when I'm over is your dessert."
Sierra shrugged, not wanting to say that the reason for that was that she was usually still annoyed at her father for inviting Robin over, again. But even then, she couldn't resist a little ice cream, or pie.
"Come on, eat up," Robin instructed. "If you finish it all without complaining, maybe I'll get you a doughnut tomorrow morning."
"Can't I just pick out my own breakfast tomorrow?" Sierra asked.
"Sure, if you wake up in time," Robin shot back. "Now get eating. If you want, I can cut your banana up into your oatmeal. I was going to, but I know some... people don't like their food touching like that."
Sierra pouted, having no doubt that Robin had intended to say some kids, but had censored herself. She sighed, sitting down and picking up the plastic spoon by the bowl, poking at the gross, white blobby stuff inside.
"If you like that, there were a few different flavors we could try while we're here," Robin suggested, sounding quite chipper.
"And if I don't like it?" Sierra asked.
"Well, you might like one of the other flavors more," Robin shrugged. Either way, it seemed like she'd better get used to having this gunk for breakfast for the rest of vacation. "If you get up in time, you can even make it for yourself. It's very easy, you just get some of their hot water, and open a package."
Sierra tried to block her out as she scooped up as small a bite of the oatmeal as she could manage, bringing it up to her lips and bracing herself as she put it in her mouth. Just as she'd been sure it would, it tasted gross, especially since it was lukewarm at best. She wrinkled her nose, squirming on her padded bottom.
"I didn't tell you to take so long," Robin said unsympathetically. "But you're going to eat that whole bowl."
"I'm not hungry," Sierra whined.
Robin just put her hands on her hips. "Do you want me to feed you?"
Sierra shook her head, quickly going for another spoonful of the pasty stuff. She choked down another bite and stared up at Robin, but she was still unimpressed. Realizing there was no good way out of this, Sierra sighed and settled in, trying to keep her disgusted groans and gags to a minimum.
"Now, before we go out," Robin said, relaxing her stance once she saw Sierra was actually going to do as she was told, "I want to ask you one more time. Are these accidents of yours normal?"
Sierra's jaw, which she'd been working as fast as she could once she had the mush inside so she could swallow it and get it out of her mouth as quickly as possible, slowed. She fidgeted in her seat, trying hard not to think about how unfortunately familiar the sense of padding from the Pull-Up between her legs was. After all, it had been a while now since any of that. At least a month or two!
But what had her dad been telling her? What if this was a test, and she was supposed to say yes? Would Robin get mad and reveal her true nature? She already had Sierra in training pants, how much further would she go if she was given an excuse?!
Then again, what if it was an honest question? If Sierra said yes, she'd look like a silly little girl, going on vacation with just her big girl panties when she knew she actually needed more padding than that if she wanted to stay dry. Not that it mattered, since none of her stuff was here, but the point still remained.
Either way, Sierra couldn't bring herself to say yes. Whether it was what Robin wanted to hear or not, it was just too humiliating to admit to something like that, so she shook her head innocently, swallowing her mouthful of oatmeal. "No, I don't ever do this."
To her relief, Robin just nodded. "Okay. We all get sick sometimes." She smiled down at Sierra, who felt a huge weight lift off her chest. She was being silly, overthinking stuff like she always did. "Finish your breakfast."
Sierra looked down at her bowl, scowling as she saw she was only halfway done. "I'm full," she protested, deciding to play up what Robin thought was going on. "And I'm not feeling well."
Robin reached over, putting a hand against her forehead before brushing her off. "I barely gave you enough as it is. I want you to get used to actually eating a proper breakfast."
"But I don't wanna eat anymore!" Sierra sulked, kicking her legs in frustration. "I can eat more tomorrow!"
But instead of listening to her, Robin bent over, taking the spoon from out of her hand and dipping it into the now quite cold oatmeal, filling it up much fuller than Sierra had been getting it. "No," Sierra whined, trying to squirm away as the robot lifted the spoon towards her face. "I can feed my..."
A mouthful of mush shut her up quickly. It tasted even worse now and she wasn't sure if that was because there was so much more of it in her mouth than before, or if it was because it had been fed to her, rather than her giving it to herself. She didn't have time to figure it out, either, since as soon as she managed to force down that spoonful, another was waiting outside her lips.
"Okay, I'll..." she started to say, ready to concede defeat and finish eating, but that didn't stop Robin. In a matter of moments, the rest of the bowl was in Sierra's now very full tummy, with her barely getting out a word or two of protest in between each bite.
"Now, do I need to feed you your banana, too, or can you handle that?" Robin asked.
Sierra had forgotten about her fruit, but she grabbed it off the table in a hurry. "I can do it!" she yelped, before giving a half-hearted, "Do I have to?" Robin started to grab for it, and Sierra sprang to work, unpeeling the banana and shoving it into her mouth before Robin could try. The banana at least tasted good, even if she didn't really want it.
"Drink your juice so we can get you cleaned up and get going," Robin instructed next.
"But I already took a shower!" Sierra whined as she picked up her cup. Robin shook her head, chuckling a little. Once Sierra had finished her juice, Robin took her hand, pulling her up and off the chair and into the bathroom, where she picked up a washcloth and started to wet it. Sierra glanced over at the mirror in confusion, only to blush at the sight of her face. The corners of her mouth were coated in mush, making her look all the more like a toddler standing there beside Robin.
She wasn't sure if it was oatmeal or banana. If it was oatmeal, she could blame it on Robin, but if it was banana, that was all her fault. Either way, she couldn't help blushing and squirming as Robin washed her face off. "I could have done that," she sulked.
"I'm sure you could," Robin said condescendingly. "But I've seen how long it takes you to get clean, and I want to get out of here before it's time to eat lunch and you make another mess."
"I can eat without making a mess!" Sierra insisted, muffled slightly as the washcloth was scrubbed across her face.
Robin didn't bother to answer, just finished her work and spun Sierra around to face the door. "Let's go!" she exclaimed, giving the girl a light smack on the bottom to get her moving.
Sierra blushed. It didn't hurt at all, but just the thought of it, and the slight crinkling sound it produced, was enough to embarrass her. She scurried out if the bathroom and headed out the door into the hall. Was that Robin making sure she'd actually put the Pull-Up on?
Sierra shuffled down the hall, feeling the slight bulk between her legs, and sure she could hear the faint rustling. Even though she knew it was a good thing she'd put it on now, she still hated the thought of going out in public with it on. She hated the length of the dress, even if it wasn't as bad as some of the babyish things she'd been forced to wear, without anything under it even more, though. She would have felt even more naked than she already did, leaving with no wand, no purse, not even a key.
Sierra's eyes widened a little at that last thought. She'd been so preoccupied before now that she hadn't even thought of it, but she hadn't been given a key to the room. Her comings and goings were completely at the mercy of Robin. If Sierra wanted to go on a walk to get away from her, she couldn't, unless she trusted Robin to let her back in and not leave her out there in the hall for as long as she wanted. And she couldn't go off and do things on her own while Robin did whatever she wanted, since Sierra would be stuck outside the room until Robin got back. She was either going to have to stick with Robin or stay in her room this whole vacation unless she did something.
They walked to the elevator in silence while Sierra debated how to bring this up. Should she just ask, or would Robin take some kind of offense to that? They were supposed to be spending time together, but it would be nice to at least have an option to get away if she wanted. Maybe if she could come up with a good argument, Robin would have to agree.
Unfortunately, the elevator ride felt a lot quicker than it had yesterday, and before she knew it, they were walking out into the lobby. She glanced over at the front counter anxiously, wanting to march over there and ask, but not wanting Robin to think she was trying to run away or something to encourage her to get out the baby reins she was sure the robot had, or anything like that.
To her surprise, Robin gently pushed Sierra in that direction, following behind her. Sierra felt excited at first that it was going to work out after all, then she began to worry why Robin wanted to go there. There was no way she'd be lucky enough for the robot's intentions to line up with her own, right?
"Hello," Robin smiled at the clerk, who thankfully was different than the one Sierra had wet herself in front of the night before. "We're in room 308. The little one here lost her luggage last night, and we're going to be out of our room. If we get any calls about it, could you let us know?"
"Sure!" the friendly woman nodded, looking down at Sierra. "Pretty little girls need their pretty clothes to look their best, huh?"
"Well, we'll take care of some of that today," Robin responded.
"Oh, a shopping spree!" the worker chuckled, winking at Sierra. "That's almost better, huh?"
Sierra shrugged, not liking the woman's patronizing tone, but too embarrassed by hoew she looked and what she was wearing to speak up and tell her that she was an adult, not some little kid.
"Oh, and I was wondering if anyone from housekeeping for our floor is around," Robin added. Sierra frowned, glancing up at Robin, wondering what she was up to.
"Let me check for you," the clerk told her, ducking into a back room and returning a few moments later with the cleaning lady from the night before. Sierra's cheeks reddened instantly, and she suddenly felt much more aware of the Pull-Up she was wearing.
"Good morning, cutie!" the cleaning lady beamed down at Sierra, making her feel even smaller. "Did you have a good night's sleep?"
"I'm afraid she slept a little too well," Robin answered for her. "I wanted to warn whoever cleans our room that she leaked last night, so her sheets are pretty wet."
Sierra wanted to sink into the floor. She stared down at her feet, but she was sure she could still feel the eyes of all the women around her. "Oh, that's no problem," the cleaning lady chuckled. "That what the plastic sheet was for! We'll have it all cleaning up by the time you get back."
"Thank you," Robin said. "And don't worry, it won't happen again." Sierra was a little worried at what she meant by that, but before she could even think about gathering up the courage to ask, Robin was urging her, "Thank the nice lady for cleaning up your mess for you."
Sierra flushed an even darker red. She glanced upwards at the cleaning lady, remembering back to their time in her room, being seen in her Goodnite and getting tucked in so she had no choice but to wet her bed. It wasn't her fault!
"Be polite, young lady!" Robin scolded. "Honestly, at your age, I'd think you..."
"Thank you!" Sierra squeaked, trying to shut her up. As embarrassing as it was for the cleaning lady to think she was a little kid, it would be worse for her to know the truth after all she'd seen, and was about to see when she went upstairs. She didn't want to risk Robin saying too much.
"You're welcome, little one," the cleaning lady smiled, reaching into her apron. She glanced over at Robin. "Can she have some candy?"
Robin smiled. "That's sweet, but not so soon after breakfast."
"Hey!" Sierra pouted. She didn't particularly want candy right now, but she still didn't like being spoken about, instead of to, as if anything about her well-being was up to Robin and not her.
"You complained the whole time you were eating about being too full," Robin reminded her. "I'm sure they're still serving breakfast if you changed your mind."
Sierra sulkily shook her head.
"Thank you anyway," Robin smiled at the cleaning lady.
"Of course," the woman nodded. "All right, I'd better get to work. Have a good day!"
Sierra waved goodbye, cheeks still stinging with the embarrassment. She could see the clerk smiling at her, too, and knew she thought that Sierra was just a cute little kid, nothing more. Robin started walking away from the counter, and Sierra started to follow, only to remember what she had wanted from down here. After the show she'd put on, though, she didn't want to ask the clerk for anything. But if she didn't, she was sure it wasn't going to happen.
"Do you need anything?" the clerk looked down at her.
"Come on, we have places to go," Robin beckoned. "I'm sure the nice lady had important things to do."
"Yes," Sierra responded to the worker, ignoring Robin. She stood as tall as she could, trying to sound mature and adult. "Could I get a key to my room?"
"I'm sure your mommy there already has one," the woman replied. "Do you really want to have to keep track of one, too? It's a lot of work!"
Sierra pouted, wanting to tell this woman that she wasn't a kid, and she could certainly take care of a silly key card. She'd expected an objection from Robin, since this would mean giving up some of her control over their situation, but the worker was the one making it difficult!
Robin stepped up beside her. Sierra expected to be pulled away from the counter, but instead, she said, "If you don't mind, I don't think it would be a bad idea to give her one."
Sierra looked over at Robin in surprise, not having expected to hear anything like that coming from her, missing the look that passed between the other two women. "Well, if you think she's ready," the clerk said, taking a keycard from her stack and sliding it into the machine. She hit a few keys on her keyboard, then, a moment later, pulled the card out. "There you go, sweetie! Take good care of that, okay?"
Sierra took the card, still a bit in awe. She half expected Robin to take it, but when she glanced back over at her, she just nodded, prompting her to turn back to the worker and say, "Thank you!"
"You're welcome," the clerk replied as Robin led Sierra away while the girl tried to put the card into her pocket, only to find that the dress didn't have any.
"Do you want me to hold that for you?" Robin offered. Sierra shook her head, not expecting to get it back if she were to hand it over, and she'd just gotten it. It wasn't much, since she still didn't have any money to pay for a cab or anything to take her away from the hotel, but it was a little freedom.
Robin got them a car and pushed Sierra into it, directing the driver to a nearby store. Sierra sat quietly in her seat, flipping her key card over and over in her hand. Maybe she'd misjudged Robin after all. It had seemed like she wanted to treat Sierra like a little kid, but this made her wonder if she was just being overly suspicious. Maybe she really was just concerned with her eating habits, and Sierra couldn't deny that her accidents had happened, as much as she'd like to.
They got out of the car and headed into the store, which was much bigger than Sierra had been expecting. She moved a little closer to Robin, still not liking that she was stuck with the robot, but also not wanting to get lost in this huge place with no money of her own. Robin smiled a little as Sierra pressed herself against her, patting her gently on the back as she navigated the aisles, going from the shoe section to cookware, and then finally approaching women's clothes.
Robin slowed a little, glancing down at Sierra. "What size are you?"
"I-I can shop in the juniors' section!" Sierra responded quickly. It was sort of true, depending on what it was, and far less embarrassing than the real truth, which was that got most of her clothes from the kid's department. She knew that was likely going to be the case today, too, so lying was pointless, but she didn't want to tell Robin that before she had to.
"Okay," Robin nodded, steering them in that direction. Sierra looked around at the clothes as they approached, marvelling at how cool and mature they all looked. A lot of them were more girly than Sierra preferred right now, but there were some nice shorts there, and a few t-shirts she wouldn't mind having. If Robin was going to get her some new outfits, there were definitely worse places to find them.
But as Robin looked around at the section, she started to frown. "Are you sure these will fit?" she asked. "They look a little big."
"They will!" Sierra insisted, grabbing at a pair of shorts. "I'll go try these on and show you!"
Instead of listening to Sierra, Robin spotted a worker and called, "Excuse me? Do you work here? Sorry, could I get your opinion?"
The girl set the shirt she'd been folding back down on the table and turned to them, walking in their direction. Sierra let out a small gasp as she saw her, at first sure that it couldn't be who she thought, then, with every step, becoming more and more certain that it indeed was. Was her luck really this bad? Had they really chosen to vacation in the same town she lived in, and go to the same store she worked at?
The girl's face lit up as she came to the same realization. She turned away for a second, making Sierra think that maybe she didn't want to be seen by the person she'd humiliated, only to turn back, beaming. By the time she was in front of them, she nearly squealed, "Oh, my God. Sierra, is that you?!"
"Do you know each other?" Robin looked at them curiously.
"We went to school together!" the girl exclaimed. "I was the Prefect of our dorm! Oh, we had some fun nights, didn't we? It's so good to see you! And your mom, too!"
Sierra glared at her. It was true they'd been in the same dorm, but not at Ilvermorny proper. No, it had been at the reform school she'd gone to at the end of her school career for having one too many duels on school ground. And those wonderful nights she was talking about involved her locking Sierra in a crib and keeping her from studying for her all-important final exam. It was because of that Sierra hadn't actually graduated. She'd just been too embarrassed, and angry, to go back the next year, since she was so sure she deserved to pass after all.
She'd never told her father about it, of course. He still thought she'd graduated, but her ceremony had been too private for him to be able to go. He'd been disappointed, but her understood. Sierra had never expected to run into anyone from there again, since the students from Ilvermorny came from all over the country. She especially didn't think it would happen while she was dressed in a Pull-Up and childish dress, while with her father's fiance, who was probably an evil android from another dimension.
"Stepmother, actually," Robin corrected Samara. "Well, soon to be, huh?" Sierra didn't respond, but Samara's grin just got wider as Robin continued. "We're on a little trip getting to know each other, but unfortunately, her luggage got lost, so we need to do some shopping."
The black-haired girl stepped forward, pulling Sierra into a big hug. "I missed you so much! Nobody could believe it when you didn't show back up to make up your last class. But I guess it was just easier to do it through the post, huh?"
"Umm, yeah," Sierra said quickly, hoping Robin didn't notice, or think about, what the other girl had said, at least not enough to bring it up with her father. "So, you work here?" she tried to change the subject.
"Yeah!" the girl nodded. "Oh, you needed my help, didn't you? Sorry! My name is Samara," She turned to Robin, grinning, and holding out her hand. "Don't worry, we have just about everything you could possibly need here, and I'll personally make sure we find just the perfect clothes for her. I'm used to looking out for Sierra." Sierra gulped, thinking back to what 'looking out for' had entailed before and regretted, yet again, that she had listened to her father and put her wand with the rest of her luggage.
