Sierra pouted as she sat up in the crib, staring up at the bars towering over her before poking at the thick diaper around her waist. "Why does this always happen?!" she whined, hearing the plastic cover of the crib's mattress crackle beneath her as she moved.

"I thought you'd never ask!"

Sierra gasped at the sudden voice, turning to see an adorable little red-haired girl smirking at her from above the rails of the crib. She looked young, although Sierra couldn't tell just how young. It didn't much matter, though, because she clearly wasn't human. She was quite small for any age, and had a pair of lightly glowing wings sprouting from her back.

"Wh-Who are you?" Sierra demanded, stumbling to her feet, the thick diaper between her legs forcing them wide apart as she stood there.

"You can call me Briar," the little girl replied, floating down and sitting on top of the crib's rail. "And I'm your diaper fairy."

"Diaper fairy?" Sierra furrowed her brow. In all her education, she'd never heard of such a thing!

Briar giggled. "You're so cute when you're confused! Which is good, since you seem to be confused all the time! I thought for sure you would have heard of us by now, with all your experience in diapers."

Sierra blushed, fidgeting in place. "Well, I haven't! What's a diaper fairy?"

"Oh, that's simple!" Briar smiled. "You know how every child gets potty trained at their own pace, and you never can tell when that will be? That's because of us! The diaper fairies assign a certain number of diapers to their charges, and when that number starts running low, they start getting interested in using the potty. Of course, sometimes things go wrong, and the kids start too soon and there are still a few left over. You know how it is, though, we have to fill our quotas, so that's why some kids wet their beds for longer, just to make sure they hit their goal."

"Wait, so you're in charge of all that?" Sierra asked. "But why? Why is that even a thing that anyone is in charge of?"

Briar shrugged. "Rules are rules."

Sierra bit her bottom lip, slowly putting together what was going on here. "So, if you're my diaper fairy, how many diapers did you assign me?"

Briar's smile widened. "Oh, you were pretty standard," she said. "10,000 is just about right for most kids. Your father and all your babysitters were so eager to get you potty trained, though. Such a pity when that happens. That meant you had to keep having accidents not just at night, but during the day, too. I'm sure you remember that."

Sierra squirmed, her cheeks turning brighter and brighter red. She certainly did. "Th-That was your fault?"

"That's my job, isn't it?" Briar replied. "But the thing was, you were just too cute. You were my first charge, and it's always hard to let go of your first. Once a charge reaches their quota, that's it. If we're lucky, we get assigned to their kids, eventually, but that just takes so long, and it was too much fun watching you. So, once you got close to your goal, I 'discovered' a typographical error in your file." Briar winked jovially, even though Sierra's blood was starting to run cold.

"What kind of error?" she growled.

"Well, you know how it is," Briar shrugged. "There are just so many zeroes in a number like 10,000. Like I said, you were my first, and I was just so excited to get started, I must have hit that zero button an extra time." She smirked, watching Sierra's expression get more and more upset. "And, well, an order like 100,000 is crazy! That would take years and years to fill! And it has! I've had plenty of other clients who have come and gone in that time, but I just have to keep coming back to you and finding new ways to get you closer to hitting your quota."

"100,000!" Sierra squeaked, her hands balling tightly into fists. "I can't wear 100,000 diapers!"

"No, not for quite some time," Briar shook her head. "I'd tell you where you are, but that would be cheating. Let's just say, you have quite a ways to go, still. The older you get, the cuter you look in them. Of course, I made sure to help with that, too. I couldn't let you get too tall, or it wouldn't be the same, would it? And if you got too powerful, then you might discover some way to find me, and where would the fun be in that?"

Sierra stared up at Briar, stunned, not sure what to say, or if she was even hearing the fairy correctly.

Luckily, Briar was happy to clarify. "That's right, little one. Every time you fell asleep in class and got in trouble, that was me. Every spell that misfired was me. Every morning you woke up with a wet mattress was me, and every little accident you had during the day was, as well. Every diaper you've used was because of me, including that one."

Sierra looked up at her, confused, starting to say, "But I haven't used this one!" just in time to see the fairy snap her fingers. Sierra gasped, doubling over as she began to fill her diaper with a load of warm mush, pushing its way into her thick diaper before she could even try to resist it.

"And there's one more down!" Briar giggled. "Good job, Sierra!" A tiny book appeared in her hands, as well as a tiny quill that she used to make a quick check mark. "Now, you are up way past your bedtime!"

"But why are you telling me this?" Sierra demanded, wrinkling her nose and squirming in her now full diaper.

"Oh, Sierra," Briar chuckled. "You aren't going to remember this meeting any more than the other times I've told you. You're just going to think this is a dream! And who knows, maybe you're right!"

Sierra stomped her foot. "This isn't fair! I'm a grown up and you know it! Fix the stupid count in my report so I don't have to wear these stupid things anymore!" She snatched at the fairy, but Briar had already floated away from the crib rail, fluttering high above the crib now.

"Where's the fun in that?" she teased. "Nightie-night, Sierra! Be a good girl and keep using your diapers for me!" Sparkling dust floated down from her fingers as she waved, and before she knew it, Sierra had collapsed down onto the crib's mattress again, fast asleep.

---------------------------------------------------------------

"Do you actually expect us to believe that, young lady?"

Sierra gulped, squirming in her mushy diaper as she stared upwards at the two people above her and the bars around her crib, the parents of the girl she'd been hired to babysit that evening. When she'd gotten there, they had seemed so nice, but now, the very sight of them had made her dribble a little into her diaper, and they'd only gotten scarier as she stumbled through her story. It had been a struggle, trying to remember it all, her memories slowly fading away even as she told it.

"I don't think even you believe that," the mother shook her head. "You said yourself that you think it's a dream."

"N-No, Briar said that!" Sierra tried to clarify drowsily, hoping that had actually been what she'd said.

"And why did you get Abby's old crib out in the first place, young lady?" the father asked sternly. "Or inside of it, for that matter? Why are you in one of her leftover Pampers?"

"I-I told you, the fairy did it!" Sierra insisted.

"No, you were already diapered when the 'fairy' showed up," the mother reminded her. "You never did say why." Sierra squeaked as the woman reached out, pressing a hand firmly to her diaper. "And don't think we're going to buy 'fairy dust' as an explanation for why you pooped in that diaper, either."

"All right, I've had enough of this," the father shook his head. "I'm going to go see what Abby has to say about this. Not to see if you're telling the truth, because obviously you aren't, but to make sure you at least didn't expose her to all this. If you did, then obviously you were the one who needed to be babysat, so you'll be going home without pay, in a fresh diaper, and with a very sore bottom."

Sierra gulped as she watched him stomp away, hoping that Abby would have at least changed by now. The thirteen year old had wanted desperately to go to a concert with her friends that night, but her parents had said no, so it was Sierra's job to stop her. She hadn't exactly been happy to see that her babysitter was Sierra, who was even smaller than she was, something she didn't hesitate to remind Sierra about.

Sierra had decided to turn the tables on her and show Abby that, bigger or not, she was still the child here. She had waffled on whether or not to bring her wand to this job, but she was all too happy to whip it out and summon Abby's old crib to the living room where they were arguing. She had just planned on getting the crib, but it turned out all of her old baby things were inside, including her diapers. "I can make those bars tall enough that you can't get out, too, if I need to," she had threatened.

Unfortunately, Abby wasn't shocked by the display of magic for nearly as long as Sierra had expected. Then again, she was also a bit older than her usual clients. Abby had snatched the wand out of Sierra's hand before Sierra could stop her, then, after waving it around a few times with no effect, tucked it into her back pocket. She grabbed Sierra, starting to shove her into the crib instead, until she saw the diapers.

"Oh, is that a hint?" she had teased. "Do you need those, silly baby?"

In no time, Sierra had found herself Pampered and trapped in the crib herself, watching helplessly as Abby rushed out of the house, wand in her back pocket still, to meet her friends. Humiliatingly, while she would have needed a spell to make the crib big enough to reliably hold Abby, it had fit her just fine, leaving her as helpless as a real toddler in it.  Hours later, when Sierra had seen her again, she had on a different shirt, one she'd obviously gotten from the concert. She'd begged the girl to let her go, but Abby had just flounced off to her room, and Sierra hadn't seen or heard anything from her since, making her sure the girl had fallen asleep, possibly without hiding the evidence that she had done exactly what her parents had forbidden her from doing.

Abby's dad had seemed mad enough as it was. If he saw that and realized Sierra had also failed at the one big thing she'd been asked to do that evening, what would he do? She gulped, wiggling in her messy, and now damp, diaper as she looked up at Abby's mom, hoping she might be on her side, but the woman just shook her head at her disappointedly.

"You had such good references, too," she sighed. "This is very disappointing."

"No fair!" Sierra pouted. "This isn't my fault! It was..." she paused, chewing her bottom lip as she tried to remember the name again, but by now it had been long enough that the details had all faded away, like most dreams did once she was awake. "The fairy!" she finally exclaimed. "The stupid diaper fairy! She's behind it all!"

But by the time Abby's father reappeared with Abby following behind, concert t-shirt still on, looking slightly sheepish but still quite amused to see her babysitter in this position, even Sierra herself knew had ridiculous that sounded. It was all just a silly dream, she told herself. She'd forget all about it in no time. Moments later she did just that as she gulped, flooding her diaper when she saw the man had a hairbrush in his hand, having no doubt what it was about to be used for.
