(Story contains themes of ABDL, Age regression, and the like)
It was an accident. A simple, innocuous incident that would have been disruptive at worst but ultimately forgettable. Really, it could happen to anyone, but Danielle didn’t know that. As far as the brunette witch was concerned, she was the only girl in her twenties that wet the bed in the whole world. That level of shame and isolation this brought on forced her into action. She frantically gathered her soiled garments and everything on her bed and snuck her way to the laundry room to get it cleaned discretely. The last thing she wanted was Roxanne fretting over this and making everything worse. Unfortunately, a side effect of being raised by the micro-managing older sister was that she often handled all the laundry, so Dani was mostly guessing at the settings and neglected to use detergent in her panic. With that (not at all) handled, she cleaned herself up and changed clothes, and immediately began searching the internet.
She learned more than expected. Not only was she not the only adult that wet the bed, but apparently a ton of adults wet the bed for a whole lot of reasons. She fell down a rabbit hole of research – though she largely wrote off incontinence as so far it was an isolated incident and focused more on psychological reasons. Some might say that she ought to have assumed she simply drank too many fluids before bed or something, but the more she read the more fascinated she got. There was a whole world of people that had this happen to them, and many stories of these incidents leading to tremendous self-discovery. Feeling more assured that she wasn’t alone, and feeling exhausted from the ordeal, she resolved to read more about this ‘ABDL’ stuff… but of course it was just because she was fascinated by it, she herself wasn’t actually interested in participating.
Later that night, having noticed the less-than-sneaky Dani making noises, Roxanne investigated the aftermath. Unlike her dramatic sister, she saw the soiled bedding and simply assumed the poor thing had a nightmare or too much to drink. Just a simple accident, nothing more. She added detergent and restarted the washer on the correct settings before heading back to bed.
It’d been three days since her mishap that night, but Danielle couldn’t stop thinking about it. More accurately, she couldn’t stop thinking about what she’d read about that night. Adult babies – people that acted much younger than their biological age for pleasure, fun, psychological need, or a plethora of other reasons. She found herself wishing she knew one personally to ask them questions about it. How’d they discover this? What made them want to try wearing diapers and even use them? How did it feel? She chewed on the clicker of her pen mulling over her imaginary interview.
“Dani!” the forcefulness of her name jerked her back to her senses, and she looked startled at Chloe, “Are you okay? You were totally spacing out!” she fretted.
“I’m fine I was just thinkin about something.” Danielle brushed off her worry. There was no way in hell she was gonna talk about this to her friend. It was too weird, and she wasn’t about to be labeled a baby just because she accidentally stumbled upon this thing and was interested in how it worked for those people.
“What are you thinking about?” Chloe pressed, her eyes big and curious
“Nothing- its nothing, I gotta go,” Danielle said, hurrying off, leaving her best friend terribly confused, and even more curious. Dani knew that it was probably the second most suspicious way she could have ended the conversation, but she couldn’t let this go until she had her answers, and she thought she knew how she’d get them.
She opened her door, looking around. Roxanne was still out – perfect. She headed upstairs to her bedroom and opened her computer. She scrolled through the thread she’d been reading last night, looking for someone that looked like they might be fine being dm’d about this. She clicked on ‘pamperedprincess121’’s profile and skimmed it. The pun in the name made her crack a smile, and she took the next few minutes crafting her message.
‘Hi! I hope this isn’t too forward of me, but I recently found this thread, and was wondering if you’d be able to answer a few questions I had regarding the nature of this ABDL stuff and possibly sharing how you came to be involved in the practice.’
She thought that sounded non-threatening and in line with her innocent investigation. She hit send and waited for a reply. She ended up having to wait quite a while, since pamperedprincess121 wasn’t often online at this hour. Dani yawned and elected to lay down for a minute, but her exhaustion took the better of her in an instant, having stayed up researching much too late last night. She was snoring in 60 seconds flat.
Roxanne entered the house a few hours later, setting her purse down and heading upstairs to check on the laundry she’d put in the dryer this morning. Seeing Dani’s sheets were dry, she gathered them up and took them to her sister’s room to make her bed. To her surprise, Danielle was fast asleep on her bed with the light on. She shook her head and draped a blanket over Dani. As she turned to leave, she hit the lights, but the glow of Danielle’s laptop gave her pause. She’d read somewhere that screens were bad for your eyes even while you were sleeping, so she went to turn the computer off. She was distracted by a message appearing on the screen, from someone called… pamperedprincess121? Well, it would only be natural for her to worry who Dani is talking to online – surely it would be fine to take a peek and just make sure Danielle wasn’t talking to anyone dangerous.
‘Oh that’s not too much trouble at all! I’m always happy to help a new baby figure out their emotional needs. It can be scary approaching this with all the social taboos and stuff attached, but the most important thing is your comfort and happiness. That’s mostly what it comes down to, y’know? If you’re more comfy in diapers then what’s the harm? Feel free to message me with any questions you have little one.’
Well now she had to have context. Roxanne read through Danielle’s message and closed the laptop, already googling ABDL on her phone – was there some emotional need her baby sister wasn’t getting fulfilled? Sure, some of what she read seemed bizarre at first, but that was nothing compared to the things she’d seen and done as a witch. ‘Age regression therapy’ huh? That sounded like what that message might’ve been on about. She clicked the link and started reading.
Danielle rolled out of bed and onto the floor after a several hour unintentional nap. She groaned and pulled herself up to stand, disoriented. She looked behind her to check for Roxanne, then opened her computer again – wait. Had she closed it? Whatever, she pulled up the website she’d been lurking on to read pamperedprincess121’s message and blinked.
‘Oh no, I’m not a baby – I was just wondering what you and others like, liked about it? And like, why you tried it? How’d you know you liked diapers and junk?’
This one was much less formal, thanks in part to her wanting to set the record straight, and in part due to her grogginess. This time, pamperedprincess121 responded much quicker.
‘Haha! I remember when I was like that, all in denial n stuff! I’m kidding I’m kidding – but seriously? It was mostly curiosity. Like you I stumbled into this stuff and had to find out for myself yknow? I was always into like… kidcore stuff. I loved stuffed animals and children’s shows and cutesy things – things that made me feel like a kid again. So… when I read about all these people healing their inner child and taking time and making space to be a little kid again, I tried it myself. It was for me, so I’m still doing it to this day. My best advice is to give yourself space to try it out. Let yourself BE a little kid again and see where it takes you.’
Danielle read and reread that little paragraph four or five times in contemplation. She shut her laptop and headed out to the convenience store…
