This one was an idea that cropped up during a chat session, after other ideas led <a href="https://chaoscroc.deviantart.com/"><img class="avatar" src="https://a.deviantart.net/avatars/c/h/chaoscroc.jpg?1" alt=":iconchaoscroc:" title="ChaosCroc"/></a> to ponder an evil older version of Kari. Myself, Croc, and <a href="https://linkrlz.deviantart.com/"><img class="avatar" src="https://a.deviantart.net/avatars/l/i/linkrlz.jpg?5" alt=":iconlinkrlz:" title="Linkrlz"/></a> pondered further the idea of this "Empress" Hikari meeting the normal, younger Hikari.<br /><br />The idea had been intended at first as amusing but as I wrote I spotted a good chance to use a darker Hikari for more than just token evil for no real reason. Freudian excuses for her madness are present, as are the reasons "our" Kari isn't a latex-clad dictator... <br /><br />I know that perhaps "our" Kari might be the most OOC of both at the end, but I feel that her actions contrast with the Empress Hikari. Fear of the dark drove "our" Kari to desperation and she snapped for a moment. The Empress shunned the light and she snapped forever.<br /><br />I may seek a more lighter, less violent, alt end and response from Kari, but I felt that tonight that having a real "beware the nice ones" moment could be fun... And besides, TK's canonical moment that was similar was one of the best parts of 02 I think <img src="https://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/r/razz.gif" width="15" height="15" alt="=P" title="=P (Razz)"/>
