The eighth of the various attempts to break writers block I'm writing as mentioned in my journal here: [link]
I took this one, a suggestion from Lord Enonymous, because it seemed like one that could be short to write, and one that was exploring a from-POV petrification with a character I'd never wrote. First person isn't common for me (but when I tried it in the Haruhi/Digimon crossover it was fun), so I guess having uncommon and unfamiliar alongside the familiar helped.
Anyway, fairly simple when all's said and done: Nico Robin of One Piece, turning to stone, from her point of view. Probably out of character and wrong, but I just looked at a Wikia for her info. It said she had a sometimes macabre, kind of matter of fact outlook on things, such as her own life being in danger, so I wrote her outlook as a lot less panicky than most people would be. Like I say, likely wrong, but this one was only about 40 minutes to write once I started typing
