even after a happy ending there&#039;s still a long road ahead. <br /><br />it&#039;s not uncommon for the heroes to save the day, but the world has to recover from the events of the story. ff6 and ff9 are the two most notable final fantasy games in that respect i think,  along with ff7 in that the world as it was at the start of the game is now largely gone or in ruins. ff7 of course gets all the spin offs and sequels to show the rebuilding, but when i was coming up with a reason for eiko wanting to replace garnet as queen in  &#039;all hail the queen&#039;, i also thought maybe there should be something to let eiko know it&#039;s not all it&#039;s cracked up to be. the idea that beauracracy and protocol would get in the way of it all seemed to fit. <br /><br />and i thought that maybe that idea could be a good basis for something a little different from me. no transformation, no petrification, nothing exactly out of the ordinary, just a simple idea of garnet and zidane trying to overcome their latest struggle, and doing it together. i also wanted to help reinforce the alexandrian nobles as bureaucratic and by-the-book. i wanted to show that even a queen would find that against years of tradition, ceremony, and protocol that change wasn&#039;t going to come fast or easy. <br /><br />hope this one works out okay. comments are really appreciated with this one because it&#039;s an experiment i think i&#039;d want to repeat at some point. plus i still have another 2 or 3 parts of it depending on how i write out the ideas i have!
