I've decided to make this the first of my stories I aimed to update and tweak, to see if my plans to do so will work out properly. Below is the original Artists Comment that was with this story when first uploaded:

":icondarkarcana: did a great piece [link] with Yuffie, one of my favourite ff7 characters. As you'll probably know, I love petrification art and writing, so I asked if I could write a story that the image inspired in me. I wondered how Yuffie got into her current statue mess and why there was a mimic materia. I hope what I've actually come up with to try and explain how I think the nice statue Yuffie has made came about with is at least readable. :) "

I hope that this updated and tweaked version is easier to read. Some minor editing has been done apart from just fixing spelling and grammar, while I've moved the text of the original to a file in my Scraps here [link] if you wish to compare them.

I should also note, after this story was first written, Darkarcana did an update to the picture, which can be found here: [link] . Ironically, one small edit in this updated version of this story fits that one better (the word "red" at one point has been replaced with "blue") so... Yeah, some kind of paradox there I think :D
