Things had gone quite wrong when the party had entered this dungeon. It had all seemed calm enough and then rockslides began, caused by a monster ambush as hordes of small bugs poured out of the crumbling walls. Celes wasn't entirely sure what had happened to the others after a rock had turned to dust beneath her feet and dropped her into a lower cave during the fight.

It was a tight set of tunnels, barely big enough for Celes to stand in some places and narrow enough her hips brushed the walls as she tried to squeeze through at spots. But after a few moments wandering in the gloom she heard someone or something coming.

A faint glow of flames held up revealed Terra, the green-haired half esper holding a small fireball to light the way, allowing Celes to relax a little.

"Terra... You all right?" The blonde former General asked.

"I think so, I have a few bruises but they're not major," came the response.

"You fall through the ground too? I didn't see what happened to the others..."

"Me neither, sorry...."

A screeching noise echoed down the catacomb like caves, and Terra snuffed out the flames, readying her weapons as Celes did the same.

"Looks like the monsters are down here as well, naturally," Celes sighed.

They soon came across the cause of the noise, a lizard-like monster that didn't last long against the two in the tight confines of the cave, only to see the faint glow of something down one of the other narrow pathways

"Locke? Edgar? Is that either of you?" Terra tried to get a response, causing the glow to near, but no reply to come.

What emerged was... a woman carrying a fan, and smoking a cigarette? The two were puzzled for a moment, until Celes realised that this was not a human at all, but another monster, a demonic creature that took the guise of a woman, known as the Vilia.

"Terra, it's a-"

But before she could warn her companion, the demon breathed out, and a thick cloud of smoke washed through the narrow cave. Without much room to move, the two were forced to breathe in deep lungfuls, sputtering and coughing, and feeling their awarenesses slip away.

"Come, pets. Breathe deeply... Let the smoke cloud your senses...."

Celes tried to raise her sword as the smoke kept coming, but it slipped from her hands, Terra's coughing already ceased, replaced with the sound of her breathing deeply, already in thrall of the monster.

"N...No..."

"Give in to the blissful fog... Surrender the fantasy of free will...."

She coughed, sputtered, and scrambled to try and get her sword back in her hands, but after one harsh billow of the smoke into her lungs, she gave one last heavy hacking cough.... And then stopped, breathing the smoke through her nose, the scent of the tobacco fading and being replaced with the illusion of sweetness. Celes knelt down, eyes clouded as her mind was taken over by the power of the smoke. Terra knelt nearby, long since having been defeated.

"Excellent, my pets... Follow me, we shall ensure you have fitting attire..." The Vilia cooed, waving her fan and wafting the smoke away, revealing two blank-eyed zombie-like women that staggered to their feet, trying to follow their new mistress.
