In an art class, the teacher of a still life course, her model, and a hypnotist were discussing a plan shortly before the class was to begin.

"You're sure you can help me keep the same pose each time?" The model asked.

"Yep. All we need to do is put you under, then give a trigger phrase. While in trance we can have you get other triggers for inside trance, so you always get the same pose, as long as you have it in your set," The hypnotist said.

"Meaning more complicated poses for you to model, without having to adjust everything to get you right each time for the class," The teacher/artist said.

"So, what, you wave a watch at my face and I fall asleep?"

"Not quite. That could help a little, but this works a bit better," The hypnotist told the model, handing over a pair of headphones.

She put them on, listening to a soft voice giving her instructions. To relax. To feel a sense of bliss. To let her worries fade away. To relax. To let the sensation of comfort spread through her mind and body....

A few minutes of listening, and she was half entranced already. And by the end of the audio file, she was in.

"Now, any time you hear the phrase 'time to strike one of your poses' you will return to this state. And when there, the next instructions will be one of these poses we put you in...."

The two other women gently adjusted the transfixed model into a number of poses, naming them and attaching a trigger. After the teacher was satisfied, the hypnotist spoke up again.

"Now, when you hear the phrase 'time to let the pose go', you'll awake gently from the trance, and be able to move your body under your own control again..."

And with that, she was prepared to strike a consistent set of postures, and class could begin....
