The day seemed relatively normal, which in hindsight, may have just been foreshadowing. Evelyn "Evey" Li's morning had been quiet. They had just been wandering the city idly, accompanied by their best friend Izzy Baldwin, and Izzy's younger sister Abigail, a weekend morning away from college. In and out of the stores, looking for nothing in particular. Just a day of no real plans and no objectives for the two Juniors and one Freshman. Evey couldn't complain too much about that. It felt awkward and third-wheely if Izzy's boyfriend was there, but Abigail had grown into a real friend over the years and not just 'Izzy's sister'. Though they did keep accidentally calling her 'Abby' not 'Abigail'. They blamed the fact most others in their circle seemed to have short two syllable names....

But so far this day, Evey had just been following. Izzy and Abigail's shared superhero obsession had meant they'd been almost magnetically drawn to certain places. Comic book stores, the superhero merch sections, and so on. If Evey could have thought of somewhere they really wanted to be they'd have mentioned it before now. But lunchtime neared, and they decided maybe now was time to take the lead after Izzy handed out some bottled water the three had quickly drained.

"So, hey, maybe we should go get something to eat before the lunch rush starts?" They said.

"Well, I guess we've been leading the way here so... Where'd you want to go, Evey?" Izzy replied.

"Three guesses, first two don't count," Abigail rolled her eyes as she knew what Evey would say.

"Well, there's a Buck Burger on the street around the corner, we can head there, put these bottles in recycling on the way..." Evey said, their mind already dreaming of the heavenly greasy fries, and wandering their way over....

So of course, there would be a commotion pretty much the instant they turned said corner. A few people rushing past in a panic, and a cry of despair.

"I-I can't control it! I'm sorry! I don't know what's wrong!" A person wailed about a hundred yards down the pedestrianised street.

They seemed fairly mundane at first glance. A girl in her mid teens or so, with hair in a brown ponytail, wearing jeans and a leather jacket. But there was a small problem if you looked closer. She was currently shifting between 'normal' and what seemed to be a cel-shaded appearance, like they were shifting into a living cartoon.

The world around the probable Advie teen losing control of her abilities seemed to be going cel-shaded as well. Trash cans, storefronts, the benches and planters shifted into the cartoony appearances along with the young woman.

And then there was what her powers had done to the people around that hadn't fled. Cartoonish-looking humanoids were present. A dazed accordion-looking woman wandered away with spinning birds from a fallen anvil. One man covered in soot in rags and goofy print underwear with his wide eyes blinking helplessly, a small crater in front of him. A paper-thin couple slid out from under a fallen piano, their flattened faces now featuring wingding eyes. A hapless boy bounced away on legs replaced by springs while a cel-shaded girl climbed out of a safe she had somehow wound up inside when it had landed. A frantic cat wriggled out of a dress, a confused dog struggled with the suit it was trapped in, a fountain had appeared in the middle of the pavement depicting a toga-wearing beauty spraying water from her mouth. A man stood inside a solid block of ice, toon-eyes waving back and forth over an alarmed expression trapped in the frozen prison.

"Whoa... She must have some kind of toon physics ability, but it's gone haywire," Abigail said.

"Uh, I think we should maybe stand back and... call the cops or something," Evey said, starting to back away.

"We can help her, maybe!" Izzy said, and Evey groaned

"Yeah, surely you can do something with Orion's Mallet!" Abigail said.

"Like what, knock her out? Smash the block of ice around that guy? Have it be a laser pointer for that cat to chase?" Evey sighed.

"Well, apart from the last bit those seem like a plan," Izzy nodded.

"Izzy, I'm not hitting some poor girl having a bad day already! She's clearly not meaning any of this, I doubt getting whacked with an alien hammer is going to make things better for her!"

"Well, yeah, but... what if the cops or whoever can't get close?" Abigail said.

"Hmm, yeah, you can have the hammer fly in, right?" Izzy added.

Evey groaned again, and they were trying to think of some way to discourage the Baldwin Siblings from trying to have them intervene, when they noticed that the toony cel-shading effect... was washing around the area they and the two others were standing in. They were closest to Abigail, and the younger Baldwin was too busy watching the scene of the girl down the street. Izzy wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings either.

So Evey moved on their own accord, trying to push Abigail out of the area and moving to drag Izzy away. The attempt was half successful, managing to shove Abigail into an area just out of range of the cartoony wave.

But not themselves or the elder Baldwin sister. The pair were struck, turning to the cel-shaded appearance all over, clothes too.  Evey felt the odd taste of ink in their mouth and a sensation of feeling lighter all over, their toonified form almost weightless. The empty water bottles had turned from plastic to glass, bearing a generic soda brand name, with straws now sticking out. And the toonified duo found themselves helplessly forced to stuck the straws, which sucked back....

The sensation was like turning into spaghetti. They felt themselves shifting and twisting, shrinking down slightly. The world shifted and twisted as they were drawn into the bottle through the straw, until they  saw a glassy hue appear over their vision, saw their hoodie falling downwards, and felt the sensation of falling. With a gentle clink of glass protected by their grey sweatpants, Evey was now trapped in their bottle.

And in front of them, Izzy had suffered the same fate. There, surrounded by her own skirt and orange jacket, Izzy was stuffed inside the small glass container, appearing cel-shaded, black outlines marking her body's edges, and her skin a more uniform single tone than the varying hues it should have been in reality. She still had her glasses, but the toonified and transformed young woman was squirming, trying to move herself to cover up her exposed nipple, one of her boobs pretty much on full display squished against the glass, brown nipple and areola flattened by the bosom behind it straining against the container. Her face contorted against the glass as she tried to look around, the sole of her foot pressed against it as she wriggled, trying to get one of the limbs stuffed into the tiny bottle to shift and hide herself.

"Oh great..." Evey sighed, their voice echoing off the glassy container.

They could tell they weren't exactly modest either, but that didn't bother them much. They really didn't care if their nipples were on display or not, they'd just rather not be stuffed into a soda bottle and being a living cartoon into the bargain!

"Uh, hang on, I can just cover myself with my foot I think," Izzy's voice came, muffled by two bottles in the way.

Abigail finally made a noise, a gasp of surprise.

"Oh crap... Uh, I think maybe you were right, Evey," She said, and picked up the two bottles.

"H-hey, wait, what about our clothes?" Izzy said, unaware that Abigail was a little distracted.

The young woman looked at the bottle with her sister's best friend in it, seeing Evey's compressed form inside. Both their breasts were uncovered, their 3d-toon form meaning their brown nipples looked relatively normal apart from being just one shade of colour and lacking a little finer detail. Meanwhile their foot squashed unnaturally against the bottom of the bottle and one hand  was poking into the spout. Their dismayed face was pressed against the glass slightly, nose a little flattened. And having picked them up, Abigail blushed for a moment as she realised that pushed against the very bottom of the bottle was Evey's private parts, bushy yet toony hairs that covered things up a little, but the 'detailed' toon Evey had become still had an obvious labia pushing against the glass.

"It's better she gets out of here before she's in a bottle too or something!" Evey pointed out, unaware of their effect on Abigail at that moment in time.

Around the street, a few shop doors opened and faces peered out, while the wailing cartoon-girl was wandering away. More doors opened, distant voices talking as Abigail watched.

"Well, the girl's started running the other way so, I think I'm out of her range..." Abigail said, swiftly gathering the fallen clothing, plus the two bottles.

However, with a wash of cel-shading over the area, Abigail was proven wrong. The wave just clipped her hand, but in a flash her body became cel-shaded as her clothes remained unchanged, outside the effects.. The doors of the shops had opened and a screaming, panicked crowd surged out, toonified, but heading right for Abigail. Her eyes widened behind her glasses.

“Uh oh.”

The crowd moving like one entity and kicking up a dust cloud barrelled right over her, the dust blocking Evey and Izzy's sight, until the cartoon puffs faded away and revealed Abigail, covered in footprints, and flat as a piece of paper. Despite being the younger Baldwin, she was taller than her sister, and also a little thinner-built, but now she was literally thinner. With a groan, the young woman stood, but now her unaffected clothes simply fell off her flat form.

Her breasts had some shading below them but were otherwise as flat as the rest of her, circle-nipples in the middle. Her literally flat stomach had a small dark circle for a bellybutton, and her hips were wide but two-dimensional, with her pubic hair just a flat dark triangle for now. She blinked flat eyes, her vision blurred a little from the fact her glasses were now on the ground (luckily undamaged, by some miracle).

“Yikes, I'm hentai!” She eeped.

“...Maybe get dressed then go take us somewhere to get us out of these bottles,” Izzy offered.

Abigail realised a flaw though, but had an idea.

“Wait, maybe if I blow on my thumb I'll re-inflate!”

Evey blinked in their bottle.

“What kind of cartoon logic is tha- Oh, wait, nevermind, sorry, Abby...gail, you're right...”

Rolling her flat eyes at Evey's slip-up, she huffed, and blew on her thumb. First her arm inflated with a pop, followed by a foot, the rest of the leg, and soon enough she was a 3d toon like the two trapped in the bottles, but still nude. Quickly, she redressed, tugging on her jeans and shirt, a little dismayed to realise she'd blown a bit too hard as her toon-balloon breasts had got a little bigger, straining against the fabric of the once slightly loose top. She gathered up the other clothes, the two bottles, and dashed away to try and find somewhere to release her sister and friend....

***

She'd darted down an alleyway, isolated and relatively private.

"S-stop shaking me!" Izzy protested as Abigail tried to dislodge her trapped sister.

Evey had decided to try and get Orion's Mallet to assist, but the currently wristband-shaped alien artefact was not very responsive as a cartoon. Not that it really behaved much for Evey in the first place, even after over six years of having it....

"...Just smash my bottle from the outside, the mallet's being an asshammer again," Evey sighed.

Abigail paused mid-shake of the groaning bottle of Izzy.

"But... what if you get hurt?"

"A few cuts are better than being shaken I think."

“Y-yeah, Evey, it probably would be,” Izzy groaned.

Reluctantly, Abigail picked up Evey's bottle.

"So, um... what do I do?"

"Just crack the glass off the ground," Evey said.

Abigail shrugged and dropped the bottle.

"Wait not like tha-"

Rather than smashing, the glass bottle bounced like rubber.

“...Ah, damn it, you're going to have to keep shaking. And I'm going to have to apologise to ketchup,” Evey sighed.

“W-wait, don't start with me again yet, I'm still a dizzy Izzy,” the elder sister proclaimed.

With some effort, some pounding the base of the glass, and some very dizzy times for Evey over the next minute or two, they were eventually freed from the bottle, literally pouring out like liquid after their hand had popped loose. They flowed out and expanded back into their normal shape, but retained their cel-shaded looks.

"Oh, that went pretty good. You're still a cartoon, though," Abigail noted, looking away now the less-compressed Evey stood nude before her.

"Well, I guess it's Izzy turn while I get dressed again," Evey sighed, looking for their clothes.

“Oh no...” The only full bottled whined.

It took a bit more effort this time, with Evey even managing to get Orion's Mallet to finally react, but it could not smash the bottle. Instead, they gently tapped the bottom of the glass for a bit, but Izzy's protests stopped that plan.

“It's just making everything shake about! I feel like jelly....”

But finally, with a pop, the inky-form spilled out and Izzy was falling out free from her glass prison. The elder Baldwin sister sprawled out naked and cartoony on the ground, her form outlined with thick black lines. Cartoon birds flew around her head too, as she sat there in a daze.

"Ugh, so dizzy.... I really hope this toon thing isn't permanent, all I can taste is ink," Izzy said as the birds slowly faded away.

Evey's eyes widened in horror as a thought occurred.

"...Uh, change of plans, we need to make sure we can actually still taste things first," Evey said with alarm as they had the nightmare thought that their fries may never taste the same again, rushing to redress themselves to try and find somewhere to test the fearsome theory.

And if they couldn't taste anything but ink they were damn well finding some doctor who could undo this toonification crap ASAP!
