A Little While Before Owlbert Stole A Book In Connecticut...

The coven scouts saw their target, the home of the Owl Lady. They watched nervously as their fearless leader, Lillith approached.

"Edalyn! We know you're in there! Come out, leave the owl worm thing behind, and we can talk about this like civilised witches," She yelled.

She noted the face of the owl tube thing was presently not even on the door, letting her approach closer to the house than usual. And said door began to open, and Lillith, for a moment, had hope that her sister had seen sense at last.

Except the tall shape that peeked out was not Edalyn. It was not even a witch. It in fact seemed to be an owl. A pink eyed owl that was wearing a starry dress, a beanie hat, and a black shawl.

"So who are you again?" The Owl asked.

"Er, um... Lilith. Head of the Emperor's Coven. Is, er, Edalyn in?"

"Who is it, Starfire?" A male sounding voice shouted from inside.

"Some government woman called Lillith."

"Oh, whoops, I'll take care of that!" The distressingly more familiar voice of the bird worm spoke, and then popped out of a window.

"Hiya Lillith! Sorry, but I can't play today, my cousin is here for a visit with his daughter! Come back tomorrow!"

"Er... Sure, yes, but is Eda here?"

"Nope!"

"Do you know where she is?"

"Nope!"

"Okay, thanks, goodbye terrifying Goetia demon girl," Lillith said, and retreated hastily.

"Bye," The terrifying demon said in a bored tone.

The Coven Scouts fell back with their leader.

"I shouldn't be surprised Eda of all witches somehow has connections to Actual Owl Demons. We need to rethink our strategies for approaching the Owl House...." Lillith muttered mostly to herself.

Back in the Owl House, Octavia sat back down.

"Are all Coven witches as strange as her? She looked like she was going to wet herself."

"Ah,well, witches that know of us have fear of some of our powers. A few mythical events... And that one mishap of mine a couple of decades ago... So I'm afraid most would be as strange as her, yes," Stolas shrugged, and sipped from his teacup.

"...So me going to town to look around is out?" Octavia sighed.

"Not without a disguise at least, no, so make sure you adjust the ears!"

"Hoot, imagine if you forgot and everyone thought there was a human on the boiling isles! Wouldn't that be weird? Like, really weird?" Hooty said, well aware that some foreshadowing is relatively obvious (but also thinking foreshadowing was a type of bug).
