With vibrant red hair and an aura of beauty, Sora Takenouchi had reached forty with a motherly grace. A popular fashion designer now, but in some ways, she still held a little adventurous streak, longing somewhat for when she had been in the Digital World first.
"It's hard to believe it's been so long since the first adventures. Decades," Sora sighed, as she and Biyomon made their way along the path.
Kari had invited the pair to meet with them in a spot in the Digital World, and the two had thought nothing of it. It was an excuse to get back to a world that had been peaceful, and when it hadn't been, well, younger generations were handling the problem usually.
"Time flies, I suppose," Biyomon shrugged.
Years of peace had maybe helped them not realise the threat, but even if they had been aware, the crimson bolts that struck them came so swiftly and so without warning, they barely realised a thing before they were affected. Not even a cry of surprise, as their eyes shifted.
Sora's eyes lost their colour, turning a pure white, as Biyomon's eyes filled with a kaleidoscope of rainbow spirals. They stood as if at attention, statue still and silent, as something padded over softly.
CrimsonCanewomon and Garudamon looked over the pair without a word. A nod from the red-furred anthro saw the bird digimon move to gently grab her smaller avian comrade, the pink bird's eyes still spinning in the swirls of colour.
"I will prepare this little one, my love. You shall bring this human into our Unity?" She asked.
CrimsonCanewomon nodded again.
"Most certainly..."
With a wave of her hand, Sora's shoes vanished away, leaving the human woman barefoot. Still statue-stiff, the Human did not react as the Canewomon moved to take her Digivice and phone. With another wave of magic, a portal opened up, and CrimsonCanewomon gestured to it.
"Walk forth, human, walk and awaken when you reach your destination..."
Sora gave a stiff, robotic nod, and began marching, arms raising forward like she was sleepwalking. Into the portal she went, and from where she was, to the midst of a strange cave. But in her dazed state, she just marched, heedless of the change.
Unaware of anything, her feet plodded over the rocky ground, until, they landed in something slimy... and with a squelchy splodge sound, the human stood both feet in a puddle of purple ooze. She stopped, blinked... her eyes faded from white to their normal appearance, as she awoke.
"Huh? What's.... How'd I get here, why are my arms up like this?" She wondered, just as the ooze crackled with electrical energy.
The lighting bolts crackling through the ooze spread up her feet, the slime moving with it, rapidly, so fast the still dazed woman barely had a reaction. Up her legs, her torso, racing to her head where it poured into her ears.
Her confused expression shifted for a moment into surprise with a gasp, as the energy drove itself home. Her hazel eyes flickered and sparked, flecks of purple glowing and growing as her mind was rewired. The eyes became purple all over, as her surprise faded to a blank expression, a small smile on her face as she once more stood stiff, arms still raised, as the crackling faded away.
And once more, others approached. With their own glowing eyes, Kari and Yolei neared, hand in hand, smiling with delight. The two now were wearing flowing dresses, similar to the garb of a Canewomon, but for Kari, she wore a pink and white design, while Yolei's own dress was now the same purple as her hair and her eyes. Both were barefoot, their shoeless feet padding across the stone floor of the cave as they neared Sora's form.
"She is soon to join us... How wonderful," Yolei sighed.
"Yes, indeed... Sora, march forward again!" Kari ordered.
The zombie-like woman proceeded a few steps forth, her feet once more landing in a puddle of ooze. Again, it sparked. Again, it flowed up, more and more power going into her mind. Resistance was nonexistent for the redhead, her mind being broken and remoulded by the awesome power of the ooze, the awesome strength of the Unity.
Her arms slowly lowered, pink swirls in her purple eyes. She stood to attention, as the pink span slowly.
"Surrender yourself, Sora..." Kari began in a drone-like tone.
"Join us," Yolei added in the same chant.
"Become one with the unity...."
"Become free...."
"Become one with us...."
"Become liberated from worry...."
Sora simply stood, the pink of her eyes swirling faster and faster, a rosy tornado.
"Evolve with us..."
"Evolve your mind..."
"Let your old life go..."
"Embrace a new future..."
The pink swirls moved so fast her eyes seemed all pink, and then the brightness grew... pure white within moments, until Sora closed her eyes, and the chanting stopped. For a moment, eyes closed, she stood....
And then the eyelids reopened, a brighter than ever purple glow to them. She had crossed over the point of no return and was now fully in the Unity's grasp.
"...Thank you for liberating me from my old life, the slavery of being outside the unity," She said in a flat tone, addressing her two fellow drones.
"Thank you for liberating yourself, Sora. Thank you for joining us...." Yolei said.
She and Hikari offered their hands to Sora, and the new drone raised her hands back, letting herself be led away...

CrimsonCanewomon watched as the three humans were finishing their change. The two in the dresses were helping Sora change, interrupted by kisses exchanged between each of the trio. Sora's old garments lay scattered around, and her new dress, a sky-blue garment, was now in place.
With a satisfied nod, the red-furred digimon walked off, seeking our her lover, Garudamon.
The human trio exchanged a few more gentle kisses, before Sora spoke.
"These new clothes are a fine representation of our new lives. Simple, plain, not complex..."
"I am glad you agree, Sora," Kari smiled.
"And there is our new home. Our new residence together, as part of the Unity, part of our new freedom," Yolei said, raising her hands.
Kari and Sora took one each, and the three walked off, blank purple eyes glowing, and soft smiles on their faces.
