In an Imp City street market, two young women had found themselves forced to wander by circumstance. Or rather, for the hellhound Loona and the owl-like demon Octavia, mutual desire to avoid whatever their fathers were up to.
"Figures even this place is boring as Heaven," Octavia groaned as they passed another stall of bargain priced counterfeit junk.
"Usually at least one knife fight breaks out by now. Dunno what's wrong with this place today," Loona noted.
"Blame the supply chain," an Imp said from atop a ladder as he modified his stall's sign to read 'Spoons' rather than 'Knives'.
Two other Hellhounds were giving it a try nearby, but the pair were having zero luck with their spoonfight.
"Is there not even one stall selling something that's at least useful crap?" Octavia complained after another half dozen disappointments.
"Well, I can offer useful... but possibly not crap," a voice said from an alleyway.
The two turned to see an unusual looking demon, wearing a cloak that obscured them, apart from a pair of yellow boots poking from the bottom.
"Right, and I suppose you have your stall down the end of this suspicious alleyway where we can look at all your wares?" Loona scoffed.
"You're the bored ones looking for something worthwhile..." The demon said, walking back down the alley.
Octavia shrugged.
"If it's a trap I guess we can just beat the shit out of him. Better than going back right now...."
Loona shuddered as she recalled exactly what that risked, and decided it was win-win to go after the weird demon.
They followed, finding the demo did indeed have a stall set up, a small collection of keychains shown, along with piles of bootleg CDs. The keychains were mostly Imps, Hellhounds, and Succubi, but a few humans and some other strange looking creatures were mixed in with them. Most of them had frowning expressions.
"Eh, it's still crap," the Hellhound said.
"It's not all I have. For instance, there's this..." The demon said, producing a handkerchief.
"...What, you think we need to blow our noses or something?"
"Oh, not at all. This is just a little... clown trick..." The demon said, tossing the small square in the air.
Loona and Octavia were confused at first, a sensation that did not change when the small piece of cloth grew. Alarm did set in as it headed towards them, and the pair tried to dodge... but it landed on them, now so vast it covered them completely.
They let out cries of surprise as the massive handkerchief crackled with strange energy... and then shrank back down. The pair were no longer visible, at least, until the handkerchief was back to the original size, lying atop two small bumps.
The demon walked over, lifting up his prizes. He dangled the two keychains, a hellhound and owl-like demon, rendered into small plastic trinkets with painted frowns and hands that resembled small balls rather than any detailed limbs. Loona's tail and hair were solid plastic too, as was Octavia's.
"Well, ladies, I hope your boredom is gone, because you two are now just a pair of fine additions to my collection..." Piedmon smirked.
The two transformed demons did not reply to the Digimon.
