After last night's revelations, the party had retired to the Inn planning to move onwards over the mountains, but the morning brought forth an issue.

"Ah, @^%$," Cloud and Tifa said as they looked out the window at snow everywhere.

"Okay, so... What's the problem here?" Aeris said.

"The mountains are snowed over. That blizzard up there will be impassable," Cloud pointed at the stormy weather towards Mt. Nibel.

"This isn't in the original script..." Cait Sith frowned.

"We either wait here for a thaw, or go somewhere warmer and come back later," Tifa suggested.

The Buggy handled the snow well enough, the party now heading back to Cosmo despite Cait Sith's strange protests that 'not even the remake will be doing this'.

"Sooo, you two want to talk about last night?" Aeris said.

"Probably, but we'll wait until we have some privacy," Cloud said, then realised what she had said. So did Tifa.

"Why do humans turn red so much?" Deneh pondered.

"I think it's just them, really," Nanaki answered.

"Okay, teasing aside, I think you probably should try spend a bit of time together and talk things out... instead of kissing each other on a water tower..." Aeris smirked.

"Actually, uh... I think that's a good idea, Cloud," Tifa said, face a little less red.

"Well... okay then."

It was mid-afternoon when they reached the town. Aeris quickly gave Cloud and Tifa a thumbs up and pushed them towards the Starlet Pub.

"We'll wait by the candle, don't do anything I wouldn't do!"

The bodyswapped pair therefore found themselves sitting at a table in the small pub.

"So, uh, I guess... I need to be honest about something. Last night when we found out swapping back seems unlikely, I... I think I'm kind of relieved, actually. Like, at first being... well, you was awkward, but over time it's been less awkward to be you, and more awkward it was starting to feel less awkward. That doesn't make sense, does it?" Cloud rambled.

"It kind of does, actually. I've been feeling a bit confused about how I was kind of getting used to things and, well... if this really is us stuck, it's still going to be a little strange for a while I guess but we're going to have to get used to it. And we're also going to have to get used to each other," Tifa said back.

Cloud let out a sigh of relief.

"Well, at least we're kind of on the same page, I guess. And does that mean the kiss wasn't just to mess with Aeris?"

"I hope so. But that was a bonus," Tifa grinned, and Cloud felt a fluttering feeling in her stomach at the sight.

And yet, as she had noted... it felt a lot less awkward to look at what was...had once been his body through her eyes.

"...Wanna do it again?" Cloud batted her eyes.

"Shouldn't I at least buy you dinner first?"

"Oh, um, now you mention it, can I take your orders?" The Waitress who had been standing there the whole time now asked.
