Chi-Chi sighed as she looked at her failed attempts to save the dress, the qipao's torn form now even more badly damaged than when she'd started.

"Well, that's that ruined..."

"What's up?" Bulma asked as she entered, seeing Chi-Chi and the mangled remains of the dress.

"I tore this dress, tried to fix it, made it worse," Chi-Chi explained.

"Huh... Was it for something important?"

"Date night. It was the last nice dress I had too...."

"What happened to the rest?"

"Same thing, tore them. Couldn't fix them. And I've only got an hour or so to get ready!"

"Well, you need a dress for tonight urgently, and I think I have a solution! I've just built something that could be perfect for what you need... come with me!"

The black haired woman found herself practically dragged away to the scientist's nearby workshop.

"Wait, shouldn't I bring the dress to get it repaired?"

"No, it's getting replaced!" Bulma said.

"Oh. You build a dressmaker?"

"Sort of. You'll see!"

She did see. Except she didn't. The strange looking machine didn't look like it could make coffee, let alone a dress. It was a large set of coils, tubes, wires, and a large boxy chamber with a number of ray-gun like devices aimed at it.

"So what is this?"

"I don't have a name yet but it can basically shift anything into another form! I can use it to build you a new dress. See, I put an object inside there, and the rays change it to something else. This monitor controls it. You browse it, pick out a dress you like, I'll get something to change!"

As Bulma went off, Chi-Chi looked through the selection, not entirely sure how to actually operate it.

"Hm, this one looks nice. I guess I press select to choose it?" She said to herself, clicking the button... and causing a bright flash....

Inside the target chamber, Bulma was lining up a small block of wood, intending to use it as the object to transform.

"Hm... no, it's not in line with the beams, I'd better fix it," She frowned, as outside, Chi-Chi made her 'selection'

In an instant, the device powered up, the beams striking Bulma, who didn't even get to cry out in surprise until she felt an odd tingling across her whole body. She found herself frozen in place as the bright light washed over her, and she felt her own actual clothing seemingly disintigrating... but it was in fact simply merging with her. She felt her body growing lighter, drier, more like fabric than flesh. In the reflections of the chamber walls, she saw herself as the light faded, her body shifting and twisting into a red silken dress before her own astonished eyes, only to feel a numbness and black out as the change seemed to finish....

...And then she felt herself dropping, cooling off as the heat of her body faded from the now silken dress she was. The numbness faded as she cooled, and she became more aware, as if waking up from sleep.

'Wait, how did this happen?! Oh no, Chi-Chi must have activated it accidentally! She'll know it's me though.... She can hit undo!' Bulma thought to herself.

As she lay there, feeling herself cooling, she realised she was somehow well aware of everything. She could smell the faint scent of ozone from the machine's operation, see the chamber walls somehow, feel the cold floor, hear the hum of the device cooling down... and also a faint groan from outside.

'Chi-Chi? Is something wrong?'

Chi-Chi groaned, her head feeling a little sore.

"Ugh... what was that? Oh... right, Bulma was making a new dress? I think? Wonder where she is..." The black-haired woman said to herself, unaware that the device had actually knocked her out for a brief moment.

"Bulma? Where are you?" She shouted, as she went to inspect the inside of the chamber, pulling the door open to find a dress lying on the floor.

"Huh, well, she made the dress... Wonder where she is though?"

She picked up the dress, unaware of what, or rather, who, it truly was.

Bulma found herself mentally shivering as Chi-Chi's warm hands picked her up, the now-cooled silk feeling strange as the still-woman's bodyheat began transferring. It made her feel oddly numb.

'Chi-Chi! It's me! Oh... You can't hear meEEEE!' Bulma though, squealing in surprise as Chi-Chi's hands ran over the silk, the warmth making her feel numb all over.

"I should leave her a note to thank her, I need to go get ready, I only have... Oh no! Forty minutes?!"

Chi-Chi quickly wrote a note, and ran back home, unaware she was in fact carrying the person she'd thanked.

Bulma could only really think - and she'd come to an alarming conclusion. Bodyheat seemed to shut her senses down. Possibly including her mind.

'If Chi-Chi wears me... I might be knocked out, or worse!'

The woman in question was still showering, but when she emerged, and began to pull the dress Bulma had become on, her fears were confirmed.Every touch, every single shift and pull, made Bulma's sense fade. As she was slid up Chi-Chi's warm legs, she felt herself lose sensation. As she was adjusted into place, the scent of the perfume Chi-Chi was wearing, once powerful, began fading. As the zip was pulled up by a humming Chi-Chi, Bulma's vision turned black....

'I can only hope... I wake up when I'm cooled down again.... and she doesn't tear me...'

And then, for Bulma, there was nothing.

As she was taken off, Bulma felt herself cooling, waking up... aware she was now discarded on the bedroom floor, able to hear what she presumed was Chi-Chi and Goku elsewhere in the room. The lights were dim, and she could feel a rough texture, like a carpet, below her.

'I guess date night went well... and I wake up afterwards when I cool. But how am I gonna turn back?!

As she sat there in the dim light, forced to listen in on her friends enjoying the end of their night, she was unaware that she was in fact destined to join the pile of damaged dresses, unable to notice the large torn seam at her hip....
