May groaned in frustration as her second-last Pokemon fell unconscious. The Cerulean Gym had proven far tougher than she'd expected.
"Being a full trainer is way tougher than contests," She sighed as Misty, the gym leader, smirked.
"Yes, it is, and there are some bigger consequences for losing. Maybe you should forfeit?"
May frowned, and readied her last Pokemon.
"It's not over yet, I can still win this with..."
She tossed the last ball, and her eyes widened.
"Caterpie?!"
Misty recoiled in brief shock too, her hatred of bug types making her feel a spike of nervousness.
"Did you bring that ugly thing here just to mess with me?! Well,if you think that thing can win, let's let Golduck show you how wrong you are!"
"I didn't mean to bring him,I thought I'd brought a different pokemon!" May said frantically, as Misty threw out Golduck.
Predictably, the water-psychic wiped the floor with the hapless bug, and May fell to her knees in defeat.
"...Should have checked my team before I came here."
"Yes, you should, because this gym bans bugs!" Misty fumed.
"Look, I'm sorry, I made a mistake."
"That you did. Golduck? You know what to do!"
The blue duck nodded, and a series of green circles began shooting from his gemstone.
"H-hey! What are you doing?!" May protested as the circles began hitting her.
"Your punishment for breaking the rules and losing, of course!"
May tried to turn to flee, but found herself locked in place. The world around her seemed to be getting bigger... or rather, she was getting smaller. The green beams kept coming, and she felt her clothing growing loose around her paralysed body. A strange tingle was all across her skin, an itchy tightness. Soon enough, her hat fell down over her eyes and she felt herself shrink and shrink, losing sensation in her arms and legs, before eventually, she was now wrapped up in her clothes... but felt like part of her was snagged on something? And why did she feel flat?
Her answer came as the darkness around her shifted, a slender hand reaching in and pulling her up. She felt a weight tugging down, and saw the grinning face of Misty staring right at her.
"Now, May, was it? Looks like you really should have stuck to contests. You're not too good at battling or respecting Gym leaders rules... But you'll have some time to reflect on that now your career is over."
'What did you do to me?! Why can't I move, why do I feel so weird?' May protested.
Her vision was abruptly shifted as Misty yanked her belt up, the thing that had snagged on her.
"Guess you won't need this, or those pokemon..."
'You cant do this!'
And then she felt the strange sensation of being bunched up a little, like Misty was crushing her... but all she felt was the warmth of Misty's hand, smelled the tang of chlorine and water in the air, as Misty carried her away. They soon reached Misty's changing room, and May was held up before a mirror.
"Take a look at your new job, and new life!"
May had thought she'd been shrunk, but she somehow couldn't see anything, no sign of herself. Just a red, white, and blue swimsuit, held in Misty's hands.
And then Misty waved the suit, and May felt it, realising with horror...
'I'm the swimsuit?! You can't be serious, people don't turn into clothes!'
"A friend of mine from Saffron City taught Golduck a nice little trick. Help me deal with bratty trainers or ones that break the rules. And saves me quite a bit of money on swimsuits like you!'
'No! I'm a trainer, not a swimsuit! You can't keep me like this!'
To May's horror, she felt herself shuffle again, her sight now locked on Misty's feet, where the Gym Leader's current swimsuit was now piled up. Was it a real suit? Another hapless trainer? May would never know, for a second later she felt herself pulled and tugged again, as Misty's feet slid inside her.
May felt the strange sensation of the legs sliding through her, the stretch and tug of her own body, and then the warmth and fullness as her crotch portion was tugged into place... and realised with some horror she could taste chlorinated water on Misty's skin. Could smell it too, as she felt herself tugged and yanked up Misty's body.
She felt herself slip tightly onto every curve of Misty, like she was now a second skin for the Gym Leader. Slender arms slipped through her shoulder holes, Misty's hair tickled her as it and her head slipped through the neck-hole, and she felt herself slap firmly into place, now covering Misty fully. The red-head went back to the mirror, and May saw the tight suit she had become was now indeed on Misty, who tugged it out a little.
May felt the stretch, as Misty grinned.
"Don't worry, though, you'll love life in my wardrobe! You're so form-fitting, can't wait to really break you in. A few hours of other challengers, hopefully much politer than you! Yeah, it can be pretty gross and sweaty doing all that fighting... But you'll last longer than most others. Lots of them go straight in the trash after a week...."
May screamed in her head, unheard by the Gym Leader... her new owner.
It wasn't long before May knew that being a swimsuit that could see, hear, smell, taste, and feel everything somehow was hell. EVERYTHING. The cold water when Misty jumped in, the tang of chlorine, the stink when a Wheezing one challenger used attacked, the way Misty's movements made May stretch and shuffle.
And the warmth and dampness as Misty exerted herself, the quick dips in the water only occasional. Chlorine faded as the smell and taste to be replaced with sweat. Sweat that grew trapped on her inner lining, as water flowed off her outer skin.
May dreaded and welcomed the possibility of the washing machine. Fearing what it felt like but knowing it meant cleanliness, to wash off all the chlorine and salty sweat. But she was not to be so lucky. Misty simply walked in the shower with her on, and gave her a quick rinse.
"I don't need to bother keeping you too clean. You're easily replaced if you get too stinky, after all. But I can try keep you a little clean!"
Now May knew why some of the others didn't last long... Would Misty maybe switch between suits if someone else was transformed?
May felt guilty for hoping, but she wished that tomorrow someone else might become a suit, and save her from being tossed in the trash... but it seemed inevitable. Misty had no plans to turn her back.
She was a swimsuit now. She'd be trash soon too, if Misty's claims were true.
And all because she'd accidentally brought the wrong pokemon....
