The beautiful Snow Leopard had been investigating the vanishings of female Big Cats. Lionesses, Cheetahs, Tigresses, Jaguars. Even a ZPD officer was amongst the missing - and yet, they were as clueless as she was. Eighteen women aged eighteen to forty-five, gone without a trace. Mothers, single women, girlfriends, wives, friends. An entire bachelorette party had gone missing in one instance, half a dozen bridesmaids and the bride, all cats, just never seen again after they'd left aclub.
But she was only one reporter, one that could be next... But she couldn't let fear overrule her need to get to the bottom of this story!
She could, however, let being exhausted and at the end of her shift do it.
She reached her apartment without incident, yanking off her suit jacket and skirt, pulling on a plain t-shirt over her pink bra and panties to watch a little TV before hitting the hay... only to find it locked on a spinning spiral.
Confused, she tried to change the channel, only for it to glow and emit a noise only she would hear, the waves not going through the walls of her home. She was instantly blanked, her mind emptied and her eyes glazed. The remote clattered down, and still in undies and t-shirt, she stretched her arms out and padded towards the door, out it, and down the stairs. A black car awaited, no one else on the street to see as the reporter climbed in, and was whisked off, stripping off in the back of the car, exposing her nude form to the cool air of the car's interior, the AC blowing full.
For a moment, though, she managed to resist.
"N-no..." She mewled softly, as the car's speakers whispered commands.
"Accept this..."
"Be empty..."
"Give in..."
"You are blank..."
*********
She was dropped off at a warehouse, walking in without anyone greeting her, to find a projector and larger spiral. Voices whispered over speakers.
"Empty your mind...."
"Be free of care...."
"Be empty of worry..."
"Be calm, be stiff..."
"Accept your fate..."
Her mind slipping ever deeper and deeper down, she began smiling goofily, until the Snow Leopard was like putty, her memories buried deep down below the desire to accept, obey.
And she marched off once more, towards another room, where a masked figure waited, injecting her with a solution that swiftly set to work.
The blank-eyed and mindless Fabienne smiled as her flesh turned to metal, her blood to oil, her veins and bones to circuits and a titanium frame. Her grey spotted fur became shining spotted steel, her breasts becoming metal domes and nubs, her fur gone to be smooth shining metal
Her blank eyes began to glow green, her sharp teeth were now razorblades locked in a grin for now.
"Standby mode, take up position 19," the figure ordered the robot.
Obeying, she clanked into the rest of the warehouse, past eighteen other robots standing. All big cats, all female, all robots, all grinning, posing. Six together, one with a bridal veil over her robotic head. One wore a ZPD badge on her iron breast.
Fabienne was number 19. She took up her post, posed, and froze into standby mode. Just another addition to a collection, with many dozens more spaces left....
