Weiss Schnee moved cautiously through the corridors, expecting danger at every turn. It had been this way for the past week, that fear that something could leap out... and she was determined not to be caught. The white-haired young woman was almost home free, to safety... when a red menace leapt out from behind a pillar.

When she awoke, she was in said menace's room, dressed as a maid, and having just finished cleaning up. Ruby grinned from where she lay sprawled on her bed.

"Good work! And now you're aware for it, really cute maid outfit!"

Weiss couldn't help but glance down and blush. An obscenely short skirt, fishnet stockings, and a strapless top that seemed designed to push her breasts together and up.

"...You sneaky little!" Weiss growled.

"Hey, it was your idea, Weiss! Don't blame us for having fun with it!" Ruby kept grinning.

Weiss sighed, recalling that yes, her black-haired so-called friend was correct...

"Oh, by the way, have fun heading back to your own room like that! You're still actually under my control, I just let you know you were done."

Weiss screamed in horror even as her own traitorous body went for the exit.

"Ruby, no! Ruby, you can't! Please.... Gha! I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS, RUBY ROSE!"

"Gotta catch me first. Goodnight!" Ruby waved her away as she left.

One week before, Weiss had called the whole of team RWBY together, for...

"...Hypnosis? What?" Yang frowned at the book Weiss carried.

"It could be a major threat! If we don't learn some way to fight it who knows what might happen?"

"And how do we fight it?" Blake wondered.

"I know, we try it, learn it, and once we know it, we can resist it," Ruby suggested.

"Assuming it even works, of course," Blake said.

"You volunteering to go first?"

"...Fine, I will."

The methods the book described were surprisingly stereotypical, waving a coin around... which actually proved to very effectively work on Blake, as it turned out, as the Faunus was a little predisposed to tracking moving things too well. After a mere five minutes, she was blank and unresponsive.

"...She's messing with us," Yang claimed.

"Well, we have ways to prove it if she is!" Ruby said, waving a laser pointer.

It darted around the room. Blake didn't even follow it.

"Still not proof."

"OH LOOK A DOG!" Ruby shouted.

Yang and Weiss jumped at the sudden noise. Blake did not.

"Wow, okay, it is real," Yang conceded.

"And super dangerous, like I said! We can make Blake immune though, we can implant hypnotic suggestions to stop her being attacked by other hypnosis in future, then we try on each other."

"Or we could mess with her," Ruby suggested.

"I vote for that too actually," Yang added.

Weiss frowned, then sighed.

"Alright, nothing too harsh, because anything we do, she can do to us later, okay?"

Five more minutes later, Blake awoke.

"...Whoa, that was weird. What happened?"

"Oh, that's easy, Bella Ballerina." Ruby said, and Blake suddenly found herself striking a pose like a ballet dancer.

"Wha?!"

"The hypnosis worked, on you. We implanted some suggestions and triggers, they should make you safe from anyone else trying it. Bella Ballerina Over, by the way."

"But not safe from all of you!" Blake realised in horror as she left the pose.

"Guess not, Bella Doggie," Yang replied.

Dropping to all fours and barking, Blake was screaming in anger in her head at being made to act like a DOG of all things!

"That's enough, girls, we need to try on ourselves..."

Barking over, Blake's chance for revenge emerged, though the others required a little longer to go under, Weiss ironically toughest given that this was all her plan...

"Okay, now, only the other three of us know the trigger on the remaining one of u-" Weiss began

"Pale Mannequin!" Yang cut in.

Weiss froze stiff mid-sentence.

"She was explaining something, Bumblebee Ragdoll," Blake said.

With a 'gha!' noise, Yang collapsed in a seemingly boneless heap.

"...I'm trying to think of a good one to use on you now," Ruby said.

"Best be quick, Froggy Crystal!"

"Ribbit!"

"And besides, I already know that you guys made one of my triggers Bellla Ballerina- Oh holy crap I can trigger myself," Blake realised with horror as she struck the ballerina pose.

"Ribbit," Ruby nodded.

"Yeah, well, can you untrigger me, I doubt saying Bumblebee Ragdoll Over will.. oh, it does, cool," Yang said, freeing herself from the suggestion.

"Ribbit?" Ruby asked.

"...I guess Ruby and Weiss can't fix themselves?" Blake tittered.

"No, they can't, Bella Doggie."

Blake barked angrily at Yang for that.

It was now a week and a day after those events. Weiss had found herself made to freeze up at random, Yang had been collapsed in a heap, Ruby had ribbited for a day, and Blake had confused dozens by barking angrily and chasing Yang on all fours, plus other ambushes and uses of new triggers.

However, all three had met up...

"Wait, where's Ruby?" Blake realised.

"Oh, she's just in her room..." Weiss said, innocently.

"And what is she doing?" Yang wondered.

"Karma!"

Blake and Yang exchanged a look.

"...Let's go see."

Upon getting there, what they saw, was quite a bit.

For Ruby Rose stood statue-still, naked as the day she was born, in the middle of her room. Her hands were strategically positioned to hide anything, right arm in a balled fist over her breasts, and her face was plastered with a serene smile... but somehow, they knew she was not happy inside.

"I'm leaving her here like this for the day, after the maid stunt she pulled on me!" Weiss grinned.

"Harsh, but fair," Blake agreed, having also been Maid'ed by Ruby earlier in the week.

"You know, this kinda gives me an idea. How much like a statue can we be hypnotised?" Yang wondered, looking at her half-sister's frozen form.

"Well, Ruby isn't much of one, she's reaaaally mad on the inside I bet."

"She's pretty stiff," Blake noted, trying to tug her fingers open from the fist they made.

"We might need her awake for this, so, please?"

"Fine... Statue Crystal Over, Naked Crystal Over" Weiss grumbled.

Ruby immediately pointed at her.

"No fair! You turned down the heating on the way out too!" Ruby fumed, as she grabbed her clothes.

"Anyway, so... I was thinking what if one of us stood like a real statue? Painted, put on a pedestal..."

"Where would we find a pedestal?"

"...Or something. Like, we fill a box with some cement to make a small one. And see if anyone knows I... we're not a statue?"

Ruby raised an eyebrow.

"Are you volunteering?"

"Well, it's my idea..."

A day later in town, passers-by walked right past the odd new statue, of a young woman wearing only a bikini. It stood, eyes closed, grey like stone, but on close inspection, the hair moved a little in the wind. If anyone touched her, they'd feel warm skin... but a stiffness like stone.

Yang stood, motionless, deeply in trance, like a real statue. So still was she, a bird was perched on her head...

"...Blake, do not chase that bird," Ruby hissed from the nearby bench the other three members of the team sat at.

"I wasn't going to!"

"Sure you weren't."

"...Statue Crystal!"

Ruby froze in place.

"...We should really not overdo that one, I mean, if we accidentally got ourselves unable to free each other from triggers, who knows what could happen?" Weiss said.

"Eh, as long as one of us is fine, it's fine. It's not like we have some trigger that affects all four of us," Blake shrugged.

"...Wanna go get something to eat, leave Ruby and Yang to it?"

"Why not?"

'Ah crap, no, come back!' Ruby protested, unheard.

OMAKE: Poor Forward Planning

"...I guess Ruby and Weiss can't fix themselves?" Blake tittered.

"No, they can't, Bella Doggie."

Blake barked angrily at Yang for that.

"Hah. Just me now. Froggie, Doggie, Statue. Good thing there's no trigger to make all of Team RWBY Complete Statues."

Yang, Ruby, and Blake all froze, unaware Weiss had added the exact trigger to make them all mindless statues. Why?

Well, she can't answer, because her own statue state is just as mindless as the other three frozen ladies.
