Takato and Guilmon raced through the small wooded area, searching for the lost digimon. An Elecmon had emerged in the real world and got loose near Rika's house. They were looking to get him back home before he caused a power outage or something. They'd been told to check this small woodland, and as dusk fell, the area was getting darker.

"Any sign of him, Takatomon?" Guilmon asked when they came to a stop.

"No, nothing. Wait, you hear that?"

Something rustled in the bushes. Guilmon carefully approached, seeing a shape in the shadows. It seemed to have a big bushy tail... or nine tails.

"I think it's him!"

"Guilimon, whisper!" Takato hissed.

"I THINK IT'S HIM!"

"No, that's shouting, that's not whispering at all!"

The creature in the shadows turned in alarm, and it became apparent it was not the Elecmon, especially by the horrendous stench that soon filled the air.

Both Human and Digimon screamed in horror at the smell, and the skunk scurried away.

Rika had thought the worst that could have happened was Takato would have got his stupid gogglehead electrocuted. Not... this.

"Oh sweet cheese and crackers what's that smell?!" Renamon protested as they neared where the screams had come from.

"Ugh... I don't know, and I am never letting you watch Disney movies again," Rika said, holding her nose.

Takato and Guilmon were soon found, looking a sickly green, and covered in a horrendous smelling musk.

"Rika, why didn't you warn us about the skunk?!" Takato protested, tears running down his eyes.

"...Skunk? What skunk? Like, from the zoo over there?"

"Is it a Zootopia?" Renamon said, also holding her nose.

"No! And anyway, if a skunk got loose from there, maybe Elecmon had something to do with it, let's go!" Rika said.

"Hey, wait, what about us?" Takato pleaded.

"Oh. Uh, go to my house, I'll warn my grandma with my phone, she can get you cleaned... and burn your clothes. I'll catch Elecmon!" Rika shouted as she ran.

"She's joking about my clothes, right?"

"I don't really care, Takatomon, let's just get rid of this smell!" Guilmon sobbed.

About a half hour later, Takato was sitting in Ruki's house post-cleaning, wearing a borrowed bathrobe, looking in dismay out the window as indeed, Rika hadn't been joking. A plume of smoke bid goodbye to his shirt and shorts.

"Okay, good news, got the Elecmon, bad news, you stink, but good news, only as much as normal," Rika said as she entered.

"Ha ha," Takato pouted.

"We smell of berries now, though!" Guilmon said.

"Right, just don't eat yourself. Anyway, my grandma phoned your mom and she'll bring you some slightly less burnt clothes. And we also told the zoo the skunk was around, so they'll try catch it, Elecmon shorted out a lock on a gate apparently.

"At least it wasn't the tiger cage..." Takato sighed.

"Nah, just the skunks, the lions, the elephants, and the venomous snakes," Rika shrugged.

"....The last three are a joke, right?"

"Yes."

"Good."
