"I'm really not sure about this, Yolei..." Hawkmon said.
"Relax, it's a perfectly harmless prank. Izzy and Ken will see the funny side of it, and it'll only last five seconds, see?" The human girl said back, pointing at the screen.
There, lines of a simple digital world code were mixed with more regular code, the end result being the transmission of a temporary digital world/real world interface that would quite simply, transform any human using a computer into a digimon.
"It still seems a little cruel..."
"Hawkmon, it'll give them five seconds of confusion before they turn back human. Five thousand milliseconds, no more, no less."
"But this is basically a trojan horse, isn't it?"
The purple-haired human dismissed this with a wave.
"It's not a trojan horse, neither of them will turn into a Pegasusmon!"
"You know what I meant!"
"Oh, stop being a chicken, I'm sending it," She declared.
Hawkmon sighed, then frowned.
"...Should it have sent to everyone on your address book?"
"Uh oh..."
"And should it be executing on this end?"
"Double uh-oh."
There was a flash from the monitor, and Yolei glowed. Shrinking down, she soon found herself turned into a purple-headed Hawkmon.
"Oops. Hey, at least you didn't turn into a human, right?" She giggled.
Hawkmon simply glared.
"...That's been longer than five seconds, hasn't it?"
"Yep."
"Uh oh."
Ten minutes later, in Izzy's house, a large number of Digimon and some humans sat around a thoroughly mortified purple-headed Hawkmon.
"If it had worked properly, it would have been funny. But that wasn't milliseconds, that was regular seconds, Yolei," The Tentomonified Izzy said.
"And apart from turning us all into Digimon for eighty minutes, you also caused it to convert the screen transmitting the virus to turn into a transformation ray," The Wormmon-Ken added.
"So let me just be sure here, does this mean if I had a Digimon partner I'd have a Floramon?" A blonde-petaled Floramon asked.
"it probably does, Mom," TK, who had not been affected at all, sighed.
"I just want to know how Mimi didn't get turned into anything, I know she clicked it," Biyomon-Sora grumbled.
"Well, Yolei coded it for Windows, I used my phone," Mimi smirked.
"But so did I!" Tai-Agumon growled.
"I coded it for Apple as well, in case Izzy was on mobile," Yolei muttered.
"Ha! Android 1, Windows and Apple 0!"
"More like Android 1, Windows 0, Apple 3000..." Ken and Wormmon said together.
"Oh, don't you two start with your Applegand!"
"Look, the bottom line here is, you guys have another seventy minutes stuck as Digimon. And so do I. What we need to do is figure out how Yolei will make it up to us." Izzy said.
"I said sorry! And I could have coded it to change genders as well, be thankful!" She snapped.
"Yeah, I was gonna be okay with an apology, but now you've said that I..."
"...think it'd be funny if you did do that and we did it to TK," Davis cut in.
"It would be, yes, but that's not helping," Izzy sighed.
"I don't think it'd be funny..." TK grumbled
"I do!"
"MOM!"
"Okay, okay, what about I promise not to turn everyone into Digimon for eighty minutes ever again and get discounts at my family's store for you all?" Yolei tried.
"Throw in the doing it to TK part and you have a deal!"
"Seriously, Mom, will you quit it?!"
