"Well, let's get to work, we bounce something off the Deflector Dish and the swirl goes away as usual."

"Captain, there is a problem. The swirly thing appears to be composed of particles that closely resemble lignin."

"Why does this present a problem, Mr Data?"

"Well, Sir, as you know, lignin is, in layman's terms, wood."
