Daisuke sighed, for what seemed to be the millionth time.

"It's bad enough next week I have to dress up as a female character but how'd I get tricked into this too?"

Takeru simply shrugged. He wanted to point out Daisuke would probably jump off a bridge if Hikari asked, but he was pretty sure even the crush-addled goggle-boy would come to his senses on the route there.

"Well, personally I'm doing this because she asked nicely and went to a lot of effort for this, all things considered."

"Uh, yeah, that's it for me as well, actually!"

"You weren't tricked?"

"Nope!"

"Okay then," Takeru ignored the sudden shift in mood, knowing Daisuke would be right back to moaning...

"But did she really have to pick these characters?"

...Any minute now.

"Well, think about it. She likes Nintendo stuff..."

"Heretic," Patamon (a self-confessed Sega fanboy) noted from nearby.

"...the new Super Smash Brothers is out later this year, and these are her two favourite characters. Plus, I'm blond, you're brunette. So are these characters."

"Yeah, okay, but... I wish I'd remembered it was a toga and tight shorts, this is embarrassing..."

"Well, I'm wearing tights and I'm not Robin Hood, if anyone should be embarrassed it's me."

Daisuke was dressed as Pit from Kid Icarus. Takeru was dressed as Link from the Legend of Zelda. Hikari's plan was to film a short fan-video of the pair having a mock-fight.

At this, Hikari knocked on the door. Upon being told they were finished, she entered.

"Alright, now, you guys remember what I asked you to do?"

"Yeah, Hikari," Takeru replied.

"Good. I'll bring the script just in case. Anyway, let's go. Gatomon's the director of course, since I'm filming," she waved her digital camcorder.

"Uh wait, Hikari, where are we going?" Daisuke wondered.

"To the park. You can't expect Pit and Link to have a fight in an apartment, can you? I am trying to put this one online after all!"

"Well, maybe we..."

"Please, Daisuke?"

The brunette who was dressed as Pit surrendered almost instantly.

"Well, okay...."

Takeru kept his chuckles silent, and hoped they stayed away from any bridges just in case.
