"Is this really the best way to do this?"

Lyra frowned at the voice.

"Well, Kari, look at it this way. She really wanted to feel what it was like..."

"Who the hay is Kari..." She muttered.

"What?"

"Oh, nothing, Bon-Bon. Just, uh... muttering to... myself."

Her friend raised an eyebrow, but the pair kept walking through town.

"Well, for you, I guess that's normal..." The Earth Pony said.

Lyra didn't bother retorting.

"Yeah, but... this doesn't really count, does it? It's more like a dream..."

"That would explain it, if I was dreaming..."

"Explain what?" Another pony wondered from behind.

Lyra almost jumped in fright when she turned to see Twilight Sparkle.

"Oh, uh, just... feeling a little weird, Twilight. Like, uh... well... hard to really explain..." She laughed.

"Nothing serious, I hope?"

"A headache... I took some medicine already."

"Oh, okay..."

"It's as close as we can get if she won't go deep enough for that Digital World self-image thing to work..."

"GHA SHUT UP YOU STUPID VOICES I CAN'T THINK!" She screamed.

And the whole town stared.

"Uh, I mean..."

"Gah!" Mimi yelped as she woke.

"...No good?" Kari wondered, as Mimi settled down.

"It sort of worked. I dreamed I was a pony but I kept hearing you guys talk, and it distracted me..."

"Eh, sorry. We could go again?" Gatomon pondered.

Mimi shook her head.

"Why'd you want to be a character from that show anyway?"

Mimi shrugged.

"It's fun to watch."

Meanwhile, Elsewhere

"Is this really the best way to do this?" Bon-Bon wondered.

Twilight shrugged.

"Hey, Lyra really wants to be a human for a while, and there's no spell. So, lucid dream through hypnosis it is!"

Pinkie Pie blinked, puzzled.

"Are you guys out there confused by this ending too?"
