Haruhi was on the warpath again. And somehow, reading some gossipy romance magazine (apparently to check for hidden messages hidden there for aliens) she'd found a bunch of strange tips for dating couples.

Including a strange suggestion.

"Yes! It involves allowing your significant other to hypnotise you using these instructions, and then if you trust them, you go under and obey them! You'll trust them easier with your deepest desires and confess it to them!"

"Sounds more like a way to make couples break up when the hypnotism failed." I noted.

Haruhi dismissed this.

"You've got a point but since none of us are a couple we can adapt it much easier! And besides, I've always wanted to try being hypnotised!"

Thank goodness she has no desire to hypnotise others or we'd all be her slaves.

"Hey, I was being nice saying you had a point, Kyon, don't ruin it."

"So, how should we do this?" Koizumi asked.

"Well, I've got a pendant here, so... Ah, you try to hypnotise Mikuru-Chan!"

"E-eh?! Me first?!"

"Of course, Mikuru! You trust us all, don't you?!"

She probably doesn't trust you one bit when you ask things like that, Haruhi!

"...I... I'll do it."

"Honestly, I never expected it to work." Haruhi noted, surprising all of us, except the entranced Asahina-san. Then again, this was Haruhi, if she wanted it, she got it. Usually.

"So, I suppose we ask her deepest desires?" Koizumi wondered.

Hopefully, she was just acting...

"Mikuru-Chan! What is your deepest desire!" Haruhi asked without any moral hesitation.

"I... I wish that...."

Oh no. Would she say she wanted to return to her own time?!

"...I had a smaller chest."

"Eh? That's a bit strange..." Haruhi muttered.
