Mimi Tachikawa had never been more relieved to know Koushiro "Izzy" Izumi. At least at the start of the day.

"Okay, Mimi, it shouldn't take too long to get this set up and installed... " The technically inclined male said.

"Oh, thanks, Izzy. I'd try to do it myself but you know me and expensive technology..."

For a brief moment, Izzy suppressed a grin at what she had did to an iPad. He hated Apple... Suing the makers of his favourite brand of custom Laptops into oblivion three years ago hadn't helped.

Then he remembered all the microwaves, cell phones, and other unfortunate electronics the Curse of Mimi had destroyed.

"Yes, I do. Try not to blow this one up after I'm done, not for six months or so..."

Mimi simply waved off his concers.

"Don't worry about it, I know more about them now!"

"Okay. RAM upgrade, new graphics card, and I see you have a new mouse and keyboard... I thought this was an upgrade for College?" He said.

She chuckled nervously.

"Well, some of the best computer programs that fit my course are graphics-intensive. I need a good computer to study at home!"

Izzy stared.

Mimi smiled.

Izzy still stared.  This kind of stare was one Mimi was not too used to getting from a male. This one wasn't looking at her so much as looking at her. She wondered if maybe she should have worn a skirt today to distract him. Izzy had quite the piercing glare when he needed it.

"...Your course is a cookery course." He eventually spoke.

"There's programs that run simulations of cooking! They... uh, they're the best looking and they run a lot of data for experimental dishes!"

Izzy sighed. She was clearly lying.

"Okay, fine. It's just if I didn't know better it would be like you were setting up a gaming PC. That mouse and keyboard are better for that sort of thing."

"Oh, I will play some games, but just Minesweeper! Maybe Freecell and Solitaire! And definitely not Battlefield Three!"

Izzy stared again.

Mimi realised at this point her plan to go to the bathroom to change into a skirt would simply be spotted as the distraction it was... And remembered that Izzy already had a girlfriend.

"Battlefield."

"Yup! Well, nope! Not that! I mean, why would I play it? It's a shooter game! And it's not Japanese!"

"You lived in New York for eight years until you moved back for college here." Izzy said.

"That doesn't mean I started playing American videogames! I mean, that'd be like being an otaku but not since I'm not in Japan or... um..."

"Oh, okay. Good thing though, Call of Duty is better..."

"YOU SHUT YOUR GRENADE SPAMMING MOU... oh goddamn it."

Izzy smirked a victorious smirk of triumphant smirking.

"I guess it's too late to distract you by putting on a skirt?" She groaned as she facepalmed at her error.

"Wouldn't have worked, I have a girlfriend."

"But I'm cute!" She protested.

"Not as cute as Tsuruya. " Izzy countered as he began installing the hardware.

Mimi sighed.

"I guess not."

There was silence for a few moments.

"Do you really prefer Call of Duty?"

The male nodded.

"Wow, I thought you were the smart one."

"Which one of us needed to upgrade their computer, with help, to play their game instead of just buying a Playstation copy?"

"Whatever. But my game is just better!"

"So how come Call of Duty sells so well?"

"So does Twilight, but that doesn't make it a good book series! Popularity isn't quality!"

"Good point. Really, though, in fairness it's not common here anyway. Shooters like that are so rare in Japan we might as well just unite against the real enemy."

Mimi's eyes lit up.

"Yes! I agree! DEATH TO MARIO!"

"...I like Mario."

"I prefer Sonic! Blue hedgehog or fat balding midget Italian plumber? I'll take the cute one anyday!" Mimi said triumphantly.

"Yet I'm upgrading your computer to play a violent game where the objective is to give people unwanted new holes in their bodies."

"I can't like cute and violent? But I am cute and violent!"

"Fair enough. I'm just going to stop before we argue left is better than right..."

"Are we talking directions or politics?" Mimi grinned.

Izzy kept his mouth shut.
