In a rough desert in the Digital World, five startled looking statues stood. There was Takeru, looking confused as he stared. Patamon on his head was looking up in surprise too. Sora was glancing at the stone boy in shock, her green uniform skirt now fluttering in the wind over alabaster legs. And beside her, the pink bird that had been Biyomon was now pale grey. The final statue was Gatomon, in mid-attempt to Digivolve.
Cockatrimon's plan had been for six
"That was cheating you know." Said his planned sixth.
"Nonsense! If she digivolved she'd kill me! You keeping your eyes closed is cheating!"
Kari chuckled, keeping her eyes tightly shut.
"No, that's smart. What you did was cheating."
She knew it was pretty much the same thing but angry Digimon made mistakes.
"Bah! You're just some stupid human! What do you know?"
"More than you'd think. Besides, I'm not taking an overgrown chicken's word for it that he's a genius..."
Cockatrimon fumed
"Open your eyes now or I'll.... I'll...."
It paused. Cockatrimon had two main hatreds. One was people taunting him but two was destroying the statues he made, so they were useless hostages.
"I'll bury all these statues in the sand somewhere!"
"And hide the art you made?" Kari pointed out.
"...Gha! Just open your eyes! And stop making that beeping noise!"
Kari shook her head.
"I don't think so. I'll beep all I want. Beep-bee-beep! See?" She chuckled.
Cockatrimon cried out in anger.
"Stop it! And the other beeping was... different...."
It actually looked at Kari. She sat kneeling, eyes closed and with her hands behind her back. He looked around there.
She had some sort of phone or computer.
It was what made the beeping noises.
And now it beeped again.
"What did you just do?!" Cockatrimon gasped.
"Oh, nothing. I just used the touchscreen on my phone and the tone dialling to send a message. I do it all the time in winter to keep my hands in my pocket..."
"M-message?!"
"Yep. To call for some help..."
Cockatrimon gulped, and then decided to make peace.
"Okay, er... Can I surrender?"
"Turn everyone else back and I might be able to convince everyone else to not come..." Kari smiled sweetly.
