Dodging the rock was easy enough for Quistis, and before it even bounced off the cliff walls, she span, whip at the ready. A second rock flew towards her, but a quick twist of the chain whip, and there were two rocks landing either side of her.
Even in the thick fog that filled this valley, she saw her foe was a human male, with red robes and a blue cape. He also had oversized shoulder pads and a pointy hat. Quistis didn't see a visible weapon, but odds were he was a mage with that getup.
"So, what are you?" Quistis enquired.
The man seemed to look at her.
"You don't know? That's a pity for you."
"Maybe. But all I know is, some of my friends are somewhere in this fog and here you are throwing rocks at me..."
"Throwing? I'm not throwing rocks..."
She made to attack, only to find herself immobile.
"W...What?!" She stuttered, her body below the neck not responsive.
"See, I'm not alone. My girlfriend here..." The man smirked, and at this, another robed figure, a woman in a grey long dress, walked out of the fog. She had grey paint over her skin, or so it seemed, until on closer inspection, Quistis noted all the grey was stone.
The woman smiled, and her stoneskin became pale flesh. Her robes and armour, however, still seemed to be stone... but as flexible as cloth.
"I'm throwing the rocks, my dear. My darling man is just freezing people in their tracks to let me work easier."
"What are you two?" She tried as she struggled, to no avail.
"Simple. Time Mage and Stone Mage..." The man said pointing at himself first and the woman second.
"Or Chronomancer and Petrimancer." The woman smiled.
Quistis struggled for a few moments.
"Weren't you looking for someone, my dear?"
She glared at the man.
"Of course she was... Those other three. But perhaps we can help. Here's one I made earlier..." The woman said, and the fog cleared a little...
There was at first just a shadow, a female form with wavy hair and a ponytail, but from behind. She seemed to be holding an invisible shield and absent sword, posed as if trying to fight. The fog was clearing slowly, showing that the sillhouette was... petrified. And apparently nude.
'And she has a nice butt... What am I thinking! That's probably...' Quisits though, realising with horror she was ogling the statued form of a comrade... Probably Terra, she reasoned, given the hair and the fact that when the half-esper tranced that part of her looked a lot like...
She would have shook her head if she wasn't paralyzed! One of her allies had been stripped, turned into stone, and she had enjoyed the view before feeling horror at the situation. And then she realised, the two mages could read her mind. The thought caused the blush that was on her face to grow stronger.
"Oh, what would Terra think of those thoughts, Quisty..." The Petrimancer taunted.
Quistis tried to demand how they knew that, then realised she could not speak. Her mouth was paralysed too...
"We can read your mind a little bit, Quisty. It's fun..." The Chronomancer leered.
As the fog cleared further, had the woman not confirmed it would now be clear who Quistis was looking at. Terra indeed stood nude, facing away from Quistis.
"Hang on a second, I'll just shift her around..."
The ground beneath Terra seemed to turn in place, like a turntable. The Petrimancer, it seemed, had startling control over stone. She turned to face Quistis now, Her shocked expression and pose seemed to glare almost accusingly at Quistis, as if she was accusing her of being too late to save her from this fate... Or as if she heard Quistis thinking first that Terra looked surprisingly beautiful as a scared nude statue... Especially since she had such smoothly waxed...
No, she had to stop thinking like this! Terra was in trouble and so was she!
"So you think you could have maybe got here sooner. Saved her becoming a lovely nude. Not so. But... Maybe we can see what she really thinks of your other thoughts..."
At this, Terra began to move. Her face stayed as it was, but her arms began to shift to cover herself up.
"Ooh, she's very embarrassed, it seems... " The Petrimancer giggled as Quistis blushed even harder.
The male walked over to beside Quistis smiling.
"Still, it's nice to meet an open minded woman. But what do you think of this one?"
Quistis felt the ground below her shift and turn her around, a similar turntable to Terra. The fog was fading away to show another shape, and another woman. The angle hid her hairstyle for now but she seemed to be an athletically built woman, and possibly nude too. There had been five of them down here, and the hairstyle did not look like Fran or Matron... Which meant this was Lightning...
As the fog faded, still hanging on as thicker wisps around her chest and waist, Quistis wondered if the intent was to tease her as it became clear this was indeed Lightning, but to make it vague if she too was nude...
"Oh, but it is, Quisty. It is." The female giggled as the mist cleared at the chest of the stone woman to reveal she was at the very least topless.
Lightning was posed as if she had been trying to fight, about to swing her sword, mouth open as she was yelling some warcry. But her eyes were just a fraction wider than they should be, opening up in surprise.
And then the second statue in the fog started to turn around, the wisps at her waist fading to reveal she still wore some bike shorts... rather tight ones that made Quistis able to admire guiltily how nice the view was.
"As you can see she's not nude. Yet. But it's a nice view still. Very tight shorts, aren't they? Like a second skin..." The woman said, wandering over and running a finger up Lightning's leg.
Where she touched the black spandex turned as grey as the skin of its wearer, and Quistis felt the ground shift below her, and moving her closer up. She mentally struggled to move again, knowing that chances were these two were about to try and make her do something unwelcome... Well, sort of. Quistis would be quite pleased with this in other circumstances but...
The shorts had turned grey entirely, and they indeed did seem like a second skin, only the texture any different... and then Quistis felt her arm being moved to above the waistband and wanted to shriek in surprise as her arm was controlled into running down smooth skin onto the slightly rougher petrified spandex, which began to crack as her finger pressed into it...
The former clothing began to become no more than dust as it spread from the line she had made, breaking away even as the ground below Lightning shifted and turned her around. Quistis found herself staring at the other side of the stone woman as the shorts crumbled away.
"Remember how nice and smooth Terra was? Well, that takes a little effort..." The woman said, pointing at Lightning's crotch.
Before her eyes, Quistis saw the small mass of stone hairs there begin to become dust as well, simply melting away and fading until that part was as smooth as the rest of her...
"Oh, no, Quisty, you can't touch. Time to see the last one..." The male said, and Quistis found herself turning again.
The male waved his hand. Another figure appeared through the mist, this time a woman still clothed in a dress... and as the wisps faded away, a woman very different from the others so far. First, she was not stone, but instead seemed as frozen as Quistis was, maybe frozen in time, maybe just paralysed too.
Second, she was of course clothed. And third, she was older than most of the women here so far, by at least nineteen years (if Quistis remembered Lightning's age correctly...)
"Oh yes, dear, you have it right, Light is twenty-three... Ninteen younger than your Matron."
The man said as walked over to her and waved his hand before the woman, who seemed to be... searching for something with her pose. Like something was lost to her...
"Stopped entirely. She's like a mother to you, yes?"
Quistis could not help her angry thoughts in response to this.
"Oh, now that is a rude though, 'Quisty'. What would your rather attractive Matron think?" The woman giggled, wandering over.
Edea. The woman closest to a mother for Quistis.
"Now... She has a nice figure, but that dress hides the best parts..."
With a wave, Edea's dress began to turn to stone. The wave of grey rose slowly, dark black becoming pale as it proceeded. And then the Petrimancer waved her hand a second time as the whole dress was stone. From the base, it began to crumble, light cracks spreading upwards and causing the stoned cloth below to turn into dust that crumbled and blew away. Up and up the line of crumbling went, exposing Edea's legs...
...Legs Quistis hadn't properly seen, she realised. Legs she'd be envious of having when she was twice her current age... But thanks to her relationship to the woman Quistis was relieved to not be ogling her like she had inadvertedly done with Terra and Lightning.
As the stone dress crumbled , the dust cascaded down her frozen form, revealing Edea's underwear. This was a rather plain pair of white panties and a matching bra.
"Oh, very nice for a woman in her forties. A lovely figure... Starting to show her age in spots but, well, I can fix that." The man said, even as the woman waved her hands.
The first spell from woman wasn't unexpected, to see the pale white undergarments turn first grey and hard, and then crumble slowly to nothing. But the simultaneous spell was a surprise. Edea's skin glowed faintly, not as if about to petrify, but Quistis had no idea as to what would occurr. It seemed to become softer, her face looking a little more relaxed... and her hair began varying in length. It spilled out of the bun-style, becoming many styles, including styles Quistis remembered her wearing when... When she was in the orphanage...
...Edea was becoming younger. Much of her skin was getting tighter and softer looking, and her breasts seemed to be getting a little firmer. Quistis only noticed a few scars Edea had on her fingers as they became softer, and also noticed the lengths of her fingernails was varying back and forth.
"There. Reversed her to about age nineteen... And what a looker she is now. Perfect for an addition to the collection!"
The woman nodded.
"I agree..."
And with a snap of fingers, Quistis saw her age-regressed Matron become a statue. The same wave that had petrified her dress spread up, but thankfully she did not crumble like the garment of course. The exception was at the crotch, where the hairs there had crumbled at the root base and fell away. Edea's body, including her now firmer breasts, became solid, and the fog covered her again. Except this time, it then cleared to show she was gone, and Quistis panicked for a second.
"She's gone back to our home now. You'll join her soon..." The male smirked as the woman waved.
Quistis felt her feet grow cold... and the feeling like dust slipping over and down her legs. She found to her surprise her mouth could move, but nothing else. With her eyes locked in place staring at the woman, she spoke up.
"What are you doing to me?" She asked, sure she knew the answer...
"Easy. As you turn, everything but your underwear you're wearing is turning to stone... and then dust. But I want to see your underwear. And I want you quiet so you'll be doing that now you had a chance to speak..." The woman replied.
Quistis by now was almost bottomless as she felt her face locking up again, but it wasn't a paralysis. This time it was like a few select muscles were now stone. The black thong she wore was a few seconds from full exposure, as the woman grinned.
"Very nice.... "
She reached over, and petrified the garment... then pulled the dust away from Quistis, even as more dust from the rest of her clothing rained down.
"Oh, what a nice statue you'll make..." The woman said, leaning in and watching up close as Quistis petrified.
She wanted to shiver as the woman ran a finger up her thigh to her hips and then kept going up and around her stomach. Quistis could not even glance down as the woman examined her petrified lower. She was too frightened to even blush at her state as her shirt vanished to dust, exposing...
"Oho! Not matching underwear, eh? A nice white bra... to go with a black thong?"
The woman seemed to make the bra dust, and then reform it along with the thong, waving them in Quistis's paralysed face. She found herself somewhat mortifed she had chosen today to not match, then realised it hardly mattered. She was about to be just a nude statue in the collection of these two crazed mages...
The effect spread and spread until Quistis too was just another nude statue, with one difference. As her eyes petrified, so did the contact lenses she wore. For a second Quistis saw nothing, and then felt the strange sensation of dust falling from her eyes. To an onlooker, it was as if her statue briefly wept dust. Her vision cleared in time to see the now blurry shape of the woman picking something out of the dust that had been her clothes.
Her glasses. They were placed on her stone face, allowing her petrified eyes to see more than just blurs...
"There we go. Sorry about the lenses, bet that felt weird. But I think you're nicer as a glasses girl myself. Oh, don't worry about your pose by the way, we can fix that..."
And with a snap of fingers, Quistis found herself in a well-lit hall, filled with statues just like her...
