Not Goo-d

"...It's called what?" Kari asked, not sure she'd heard right.

"Jellomon." Gatomon repeated.

Kari paused, looking at the translucent wobbling  green creature. It was shaped like the traditional blob of gelatin dessert,  except with glowing red eyes. It had no limbs, no mouth... but it was moving around.

Slowly.

"...It's called what?"

Gatomon sighed.

"Look, I think we should just ignore it. It's not very..."

At this, the eyes narrowed, and gree goo shot forth, aimed straight at Kari. She yelled in surprise as it hit her, the goo quickly spreading over her.

"Gatomon, what's..." She tried to say, only for the goo to spread over her mouth.

Seconds later, Kari stood covered head to toe in the goo, which began to set, and the blob began to chuckle.

"Your human is trapped, little cat! And now..."

The Jellomon's monologue was somewhat defeated by the sigh Gatomon gave.

"Uh, I don't think so..."

The creature was about to protest as Kari simply walked out of the goo.

"Ugh, I hate lime flavour..." She protested, sweeping some of the gelatin that remained stuck away from her.

"Um... What did she just do?"

Human and Digimon partner glared at the blob.

"...I walked out. Gelatin is the worst possible thing to try and trap people in, you idiot." Kari admonished.

The blob pondered this for a moment.

"...No matter! I can still defeat you and..."

"Gatomon, digivolve and... Oh, never mind, it's trying to run."

Bubble Trubble

This Digimon was a mass of bubbles.

"Um... what's this meant to do?" Takeru pondered.

The bubbles wobbled menacingly.

"Well, his name is..." Patamon began.

"Bubblemon?"

"...Yeah. Anyway, what he does is..."

At this, the bubbles shot out more bubbles, which began to burst when they touched the pair. Patamon sneezed.

"Uh, that. What'll happen is they'll stick eventually... but, well... they're bubbles."

Takeru frowned.

"So we can walk away?"

Patamon nodded.

"More or less but... Well, once he has us covered in them can you just hold still and not burst them? See, their only attack is so lame we... We all feel kind of sorry for them. So just pretend Bubble Encasement actually works. He'll go away happy and we can just walk away too..."

"All right."

Soon, it was done and Takeru tried to hold still as the gleeful bubbles wandered of....

"He doesn't even understand what we were saying does he?" Takeru realised as the creature moved out of sight. A few bubbles popped as he moved his mouth.

"Um, not as far as we can tell. And they seem to not see you if you stand still. They're really kind of crappy..."

Takeru sighed.

"I see why you all feel so sorry for him... Wait, these bubbles are soap, right?"

"Uh, yeah. Nothing bad, basically just the same as the stuff in bubble blowers..."

"Still... Why would something like that even exist?"

Patamon shrugged, or as close as something shaped like him could get to a shrug.

Smash Hit

"Well, after those last two Takeru and Hikari met it's nice to know something is still dangerous in the Digital World..." Hawkmon noted as a large shard of crystal barely missed him.

"No it isn't! I'd rather meet something with jello or bubbles as an attack than this!" Yolei pointed out.

The creature was known as a CrystalEmetmon. Hawkmon hadn't explained much bar the name before it attacked.

"So, what can this thing do?" Yolei asked.

CrystalEmetmon answered by lunging forth and grabbing her. She shrieked as she felt herself grow cold...

"Foolish human! I am CrystalEmetmon! More powerful than a normal Emetmon..."

"I don't even know what an Emetmon is!" She struggled, feeling very cold...

"It creates golems from its enemies!" Hawkmon shouted, as he digivolved.

But it was too late.

"Correct... And this human is my enemy!"

Yolei screamed as she felt cold all over, and saw why. She was turning to crystal! She cried out one last time before her transparent statue was used to taunt Aquilamon.

"Ah ah, feathered one! Your friend will be immortal and indestructible while a golem... but she's quite fragile now."

Aquilamon growled.

"But once she is a golem I just need to beat you and she's back to normal..."

"Easier said than done..." The Digimon taunted, as glowing purple lines spread along Yolei's crystal body.

And then she moved.

"Uh... What... Why am I..."

"...Strange." CrystalEmetmon frowned.

Yolei's crystal and mobile golem form looked around.

"Yolei? Are you under his control?"

"Uh... No..." She replied.

"That's great! Quick, Yolei, if you get away from him I can attack him, when he's beaten you'll be back to normal!"

CrystalEmetmon paused.

"Oh no. Humans have different data. I can't control them as easily as a Digimo-"

He was cut off by Yolei turning around and punching him. To the surprise of all, the creature shattered, Yolei glowed, and was restored to normal.

"...Okay, that works too..." Aquilamon noted.

"At least I don't have jello or soap all over me." Yolei grinned.
