Alternative Ending - Alternate Canon
The Cockatrimon that had been Chocotrimon blinked to clear his eyes, and cursed.
"I missed!"
He shook his head, and noted the other Digi-brats scattered around, groaning and stirring awake... but one thought now filled his head. Revenge. Revenge against the brat who had ruined it all. But where was he?
He glanced around, and saw a damaged house. A nice hole in the roof...
He grinned.
"I just hope you didn't break your neck, human, because I'm going to smash you to pieces!" He declared, charging into the house.
Sure enough, the one who ruined it all was there. The human was trying to get up, with some strange red lines across his body, and a tear in his upper clothing that exposed a rather long red line on his chest that seemed to be staining his shirt. His Patamon groaned, and then gasped.
"TK!" Patamon warned, but a quick beam solved that. Now the flying hamster thing was a flying rock.
The human was startled to see his partner petrified before him, and tried to stand... but his ankle gave way and he cried out, falling to his knees and cradling his arm.
"What's the matter, human? Break one of those bones? Like you broke my plan?" Cockatrimon taunted.
TK glanced up, and chuckled.
"Hurts a little, but not as much as losing must hurt you, huh?" He said.
Cockatrimon was less than pleased, gazing right back at the defiant smile, freezing it in place. With a green glow and not even a sound, TK was turned into a defiant statue.
"...And now to break some more parts of you..." Cockatrimon leered, savouring every second as he neared, readying a kick into the human's chest.
He noted that the strange red lines on the human vanished, but seemed to leave some of the liquid. Certainly the stain remained. He wondered if the red stuff might have been some kind of human attack at first, but before he could ponder if this was the case any further, there was a roar at his side.
WereGarurumon barrelled into him, and before he even had a chance to squawk, was ripped into data.
"WereGarurumon, what's the rush.... Jeez! TK!" Matt cried as he saw his brother's petrified form, while a puzzled WereGarurumon reverted to Gabumon
"That's not right... The Cockatrimon is gone, why are they..." he asked in bewilderment. Matt span round in shock at this.
"What?! But... But that's not how it works!"
"I know! They should have turned back right away but they didn't!"
Matt paled, and Gabumon could stare in shock and confusion.
TK simply kept smiling , staring in defiance at something that no longer existed even as the others came into the building and reacted with shock.
Patamon and TK were removed from the house, the whole group now very concerned at the lack of reverting.
"If... If he... if they're stuck what do we do?" Kari asked softly.
"We need to try and get another MagnaAngemon I think. Or figure out why they're still stone with the Cockatrimon gone." Gatomon replied.
"Ken... You said this was one of your botched experiments from the past. Any idea why this might have happened?" Tai demanded, a little harshly.
Ken however understood why Tai was irritated with him. It seemed his past was haunting him once more.
"I'm not sure. The idea I had then was to have it able to control the statues like golems, but I never had any attempt to make it permanent. "
"...We need to speak to Gennai." Sora said.
"I agree... Maybe he'll have something... Anything..." Matt said.
"Um... For now though we can't leave them here. We need to move them somewhere we can keep them safe." Mimi said.
"Okay, but... We have to be careful."
They slowly and carefully brought the petrified pair to the Digiport.
"Okay... I'll go with Matt to open a port in TK's room and... Well, maybe tell his mother not to panic..." Yolei offered.
"Sure... Your youngest son is a statue, Mrs. Takaishi, don't freak out..." Kari muttered.
"Hey, he'll be fine, guys. We'll figure something out, right?" Davis tried to boost spirits as Matt and Yolei went ahead.
It was five minutes later when Yolei returned
"...Guys, we're going to need to be very careful. She, uh... She didn't take it well..."
Once TK was back in his room, Matt refused to return to the Digital World, and Gabumon stayed with him. Kari, Davis, and Cody had been reluctant to leave also, while Yolei had grown more and more concerned for TK's mother, but in the end they left the two brothers and their Digimon behind. Though they did have hope that there was a cure possible, each of them had a voice at the back of their heads.

These links below will take you to various shorter alternative endings to the Easter story, that whilst they may have the possibility of expansion into follow-ups, I don't have any plans for them at the moment and wish to use the main endings instead for now.
The reason they are split across scraps is not only to allow the "main" alternative ending more focus, but If they all came after each other they would start to get repetitive, but this way the reader is free to look at whichever they wish

Ate Too Much: Chocotrimon attacks Earth, but like anyone else with access to a lot of chocolate, somewhat over-indulges...
Meltdown: Chocotrimon bit off more than he can chew, but this isn't quite good news for humankind yet...
Stone World: Chocotrimon's breakdown sees the earth stand still...
Different "Wins": Chocotrimon is stopped before he gets to Earth... but not necessarily reverting the Digidestined to normal.
Enemies Within: Chocotrimon is back in control and absorbs all the Digidestined. Now he's ready to attack Earth... Or is he?
Madness: A good hive mind does not allow for individuals. If there were many voices in the head of the queen, she would go mad, would she not?
Individuality: It seems that though everyone is themselves and no longer just part of the blob, there's a small problem...
Rocky Outcome: The Digidestined stand, each of them with pale stone skin... Very, very confused and very mobile.
The Mad Sculptor: The Cockatrimon that was made gets the last laugh, as his defeat drives him to madness, and to create a new sculpture garden...
Smash Hit: Falling to the ground as a statue, TK began to hope he wouldn't feel it when he hit the ground. He wakes in Primary Village very glad to have not felt it at all... Wait. Primary Village?
Comedy:
Obligatory: The cliché has to be done once. It seems a small blue lover of chocolate may have had a nightmare...
Wardrobe Malfunction: The Digidestined have reverted to normal, human, flesh. Normal, warm, flesh. Their clothes on the other hand...
Scary Glare: Almost turning Yolei to stone wasn't the last surprise in store for TK that day, as it soon emerges that not only does he somehow have the originally planned powers of their defeated foe... but that they are a lot more versatile than one would first think.
Extended Good Ending (Omake)
TK sighed, resting the cast encasing his arm on the desk, and trying to grip the object in the plastered hand.
"This just isn't working..." He muttered, and tried his teeth again, only to be interrupted.
"TK! What are you doing?!" Kari hissed.
He looked at her guiltily, seeing an angry look on her face, with Davis glaring at him from behind her. The chocolate bar in its wrapper hanging from his teeth. He dropped it to speak.
"Kari, I can explain, I know yesterday was weird but..."
"Huh? What? Oh, no, that's fine, but we told you to ask us to give you help if you needed it..." She replied.
"...You're not mad I'm eating chocolate? Neither of you?"
Davis shrugged, and produced a bar from his own pocket. Kari also produced one.
"What can I say? I can't stay mad at you...." Davis said to the sweet treat.
He did not allow Kari and TK's bemused looks to dissuade him.
"Well, Davis is nuts... but I definitely can stay mad at you if you keep being stubborn and trying to do things on your own when people are around to help you though!" Kari warned with a glare that caused TK to cower in fear.
"Gah! And everyone says I'm scary when I do that..."
