Sora's scream caused the others to jump back in surprise, as she herself began flailing her arms and legs. Hawkmon, who had been standing nearby, bore the brunt of this, being punched and kicked more than once. He cried out on pain, as a still-panicking Sora kept up the assault until Kari and Yolei grabbed her arms.
"Sora! You're safe! Calm down! Hawkmon's not an enemy!" Yolei shouted, as Sora tried to struggle from their grasp.
She stopped, looking in dazed confusion at the bruised Digimon for a few moments before she blinked and gasped.
"H...Hawkmon, I'm sorry... I just..." She stuttered as Kari and Yolei released her.
"Ow... It's okay, Sora, I've had worse..." He groaned as he stood up.
"What happened there?" Davis wondered and Sora blinked again before focusing on him.
"I... When did you guys get here?"
"About five minutes ago. We found you unconscious near the village. Are you all right?" Ken asked.
She nodded.
"Well, sort of. I got spooked by Hawkmon there when I saw brown, but..."
"Sora, try and start from the beginning. We only found you, we don't know anything that happened before we found you and the village turned into a chocolate castle..."
Sora blinked again.
"...You guys were lucky. The rest of us went into the village and... There's a strange thing like a Cockatrimon in there, but instead of stone it turns things into..."
"...Chocolate?" Ken interrupted. Sora simply nodded.
"Yeah, and he seems to be able to absorb anything he transforms and control it."
TK growled in anger as he realised something.
"It was the other Digimon we were fighting! And that thing has everyone else trapped in there..."
Ken, however, seemed to be thinking as Sora continued.
"He chased me and Matt, and hit us with blobs of Chocolate. Matt was... Matt was turned into chocolate entirely and absorbed... but the Chocotrimon said he was going to try use me as bait to catch you guys."
"Chocotrimon?" Davis groaned.
"That's what he called himself. He says he turned the whole village to chocolate and that he can hijack the power of Digivices to enhance his control over chocolate to form blobs in the shapes of absorbed things to act as drones."
"He attacked us with some of them already, but we got away okay." Kari added.
"Well, anyway, he wants D3s to try and... Well, I bet you guys can guess."
"Attack the real world. Can't we just for once find a crazy evil Digimon who wants to go to the real world to go to Disneyland or something?" Davis complained.
"Not going to happen. It's in the end user licence agreement to be evil, you agree to try and take over the human world." Gatomon shrugged.
"...She's serious, isn't she?" TK asked the other Digimon. All nodded vigorously.
"Where the heck did this thing come from? And why?!" Yolei asked
"I've no idea..." Sora shrugged.
"I... I think it might be my fault, guys." Ken confessed.
"What? What do you mean?" Davis asked.
"Well... When I was the Digimon Emperor I had a secret base near here..."
"Geez, was 'built a stupidly large number of secret underground bases' in the contract to be infected with a dark spore or something? You built a hundred of those things!"
"Forty-seven, actually, but I was trying to make hybrids here, adding new data to boost captured Digimon. I was trying to boost a Cockatrimon to be able to fly and to create Golems out of the statues he made, as well as being able to absorb the stone to bring back trophies, but... I somehow also added chocolate to the mix."
Everyone stared.
"...Ken, just so you know, chocolate works better on stuff like brownies and in ice cream and milk and stuff. Putting it into Digimon is bad. I can put it in myself well enough..." Veemon proclaimed.
"Never mind that. You made it by mistake, and it was left to roam?" TK challenged.
"No, I tried to revert it. I had no use for chocolate... but after I had it frozen solid to recapture it and remove the chocolate you guys attacked a spire and every Digimon in my base turned on me. The freezer was automatic, so I guess it must have failed and set him free."
"So, you made it... Do you know how to defeat it?" Sora asked.
"Well, I think I have an idea. See, freezing it means it can't move, so if we did that and then had Patamon go all the way to MangaAngemon he could cure the castle and the Cockatrimon, so it would all revert. We'd free the others, and then we'd just have a regular Cockatrimon to deal with."
"Yeah, great... Pretty much every time we try taking one of those on I get turned into a lawn ornament... " Kari groaned.
"But taking out a regular Cockatrimon that won't melt away is easier. Beat it, and the statues revert." TK pointed out, then frowned.
"Wait, did you make that modified Cockatrimon anyway?"
Ken grinned nervously.
"Uh, yeah... Before that Basilisk thing..."
TK and Kari glared at him.
"Anyway, moving on... I think we might be able to do this pretty easy actually. It's a shame we don't have Biyomon but we do have Hawkmon, as well as..." Ken began, only to be cut off by a strange sound from behind, and a strange feeling on the back of his head. He reached to the spot in question in shocked disgust.
"Sora... Did you just spit... on... me?"
He trailed off as he brought his fingers to the front, and stared in shock as he froze in place. The others were also staring, but not at Ken.
Sora stood behind him, a feral grin on her face. Her eyes were blank brown orbs, and from her grin, leaked liquid chocolate...
