"Weird... Mimi said she'd be here..." Matt said as they neared.
"Tai must have got here, I guess... It would have been nice of her to tell us what it was all about though." Sora said.
"I don't see anything too weird just now...." Biyomon said.
"Uh, and what about that village down there? The one where everything is brown?" Joe pointed out.
"Well, it's as good a place to start as any... My Digivice seems to be picking up a signal from there." Izzy said.
"Tai and Mimi?" Sora question.
"I'm not certain. Logically it would be them but... Well, it could be anyone really. We won't tell until we get closer."
"Wait, why is everything brown? Is that whole villlage made of wood or something?" Gabumon asked.
"I'm not sure... It looks like... Chocolate?" Tentomon replied.
"Chocolate? And Tai and Mimi might be down there with Agumon and Palmon?" Gomamon then weighed in
"Well, probably, but we need to get closer to tell both if they are there and if it is indeed chocolate."
"...Closer it is then!" The three male Digimon suddenly said, rushing off.
"...What's so great about chocolate? Give me some nice seed or crackers..." Biyomon sighed, as the others followed.
"Oh, stop parroting on, Biyomon." Matt joked.
"...Sora, I'm going to hurt your boyfriend."
The three Digimon running ahead were soon caught up to, and the eight agreed to be a little more careful.
"Well, no mistake. Tai and Mimi are in the village somewhere but... There doesn't seem to be any sign of life. And everything is chocolate..."
Sora nodded.
"I'm getting a bad feeling about this. Anyone else?"
"Well, everything is chocolate, nothing is moving, and Tai and Mimi are somewhere in there. Somehow, I think I am getting a bad feeling..." Matt sighed.
"Nobody eat anything just in case." Joe warned.
"What?! But..." Gomamon began.
"Joe's right. We have no idea what's going on here. Let's at least find the others first." Biyomon cut him off.
The seal-like Digimon grumbled the whole way, until they reached the centre of the village... And he heard a collective gasp from the others.
Standing in the centre of an open square, were Tai and Mimi. Both were frozen in brown chocolate, their faces locked in false smiles. From head to toe, they were chocolate, apart from their Digivices, lying at their feet. The four humans approached the statues cautiously, the Digimon hanging back.
"...Is it them, or a trap?" Sora said nervously.
Her answer came from cries of alarm from behind. The humans span around in time to see Gomamon and Gabumon were chocolate. Biyomon and Tentomon took to the air as Matt and Joe cried out in shock at what had happened to their partners, and then, what was now happening.
"They're... melting!" Joe said, turning pale.
"What the heck did that?!" Matt growled, and then got his answer as golden beams shot out and hit Tentomon.
The beetle-like mon cried out as he was enveloped in the glow, and then, a second later, fell from the skies, an already-melting chocolate statue. He hit the ground with a splash, and his molten form spread out. Matt, Joe, and Sora dodged a few blobs that flew past, but in his shock, Izzy was hit in the chest.
"Score one for me!" A voice cackled, and the brown bird arrived.
"What the heck are you?!" Biyomon asked, even as she attacked it.
"I thought I was a Cockatrimon, little pinky... But it seems the little plant that came with the other humans called me Chocotrimon."
Biyomon dodged the golden eyebeams, more aware than Tentomon had been. Sora tried to make her Digivolve, but had to jump away from the beams herself as Chocotrimon took a pot shot. In the process, the Digivice slid from her grasp.
"What did you do to everyone?!" Joe demanded.
"Easy. I turned them all to chocolate and absorbed them into my new village. I'm going to reform it into a castle once I have enough Digivices to power the change... I have three already"
Three of the humans were confused, until Biyomon gasped. Sora had just grabbed her Digivice back when she was distracted by the sight that shocked her Digimon.
Izzy, where the blob of chocolate that had once been part of Tentomon had hit, had been coated from head to toe in the chocolate. The blobby mess was receeding, revealing that Izzy was now a chocolate statue the same as Mimi and Tai.
"Hmm, he's in a bad spot, I think... I'll absorb him and put him somewhere better later" Chocotrimon cackled, and at once, Izzy began to melt. By this point, Gomamon and Gabumon had melted into the ground, and the three humans left were horrified by this sight.
"You're absorbing them? What do you mean?" Matt asked.
"Easy, Matt. All this chocolate is one mass of various Digimon and everything in this village, converted. The Digimon are easy to melt and control, and so are you humans... And I get to read all the memories you all have, which is why I know your name before you ask. But I have a question myself I'd like to ask. Pinky, you can become a Cockatrimon, yes? A normal one?"
"Yeah, but she's going to become something better! Biyomon..." Sora began.
"I agree." Chocotrimon interrupted, and fired the beams again.
This time, he did not miss, and the melting Biyomon fell to earth - heading right for Joe. He tried to dodge, but was surprised to find that chocolate had shot up and trapped his feet. Before he could protest or Sora could cry out, Biyomon hit him, covering him right away in the blobby chocolate... which dripped off to reveal a perfect statue of Joe almost right away, which then melted itself.
"Four humans now! This is fun!" Chocotrimon cackled, as Sora stared numbly at what had happened to her friends.
"...I was too slow..." She said softly.
"...Sora, come on, we have to get out of here and warn everyone else!" Matt said, shaking her from the shock she was in.
"Too slow, you say, eh, Sora? Hm, I don't know, you two run awfully fast..." Chocotrimon sighed theatrically, and then spat forth blobs of chocolate.
They hit their mark, and after a brief cry, there was silence apart from the soft slurping of melting chocolate being absorbed into the ground. Chocotrimon looked back at Mimi and Tai.
"Hmm. You two seem a little lonely."
And with that, three more blobs came forth from the ground. Moments later, three more chocofied victims now stood alongside Mimi and Tai's chocolate effigies, the same smiles frozen in place.
"Pretty sweet work. I'll bring number six to you soon, but for now, I think that human can be useful. After all, Matt, Tai... Your memories show your siblings will be useful... I could really use some D-3's..."
