It was Saturday, a day off school, and a day indoors for Hikari. Her father was working, Taichi was out playing soccer, and her mother had to go shopping for half an hour, allowing Hikari to try something.
She took her hoody into her room and put it down. She had a plan, to see just what it could turn into. Putting her hand on it and willing a change, Rukia awoke.
'Oh. What are you changing me into... now...' Rukia puzzled, as she felt... odd...
Alternative Ending One -Clown Clone
It felt like she was growing legs.
She hoped at first that she was turning back to normal, but then it hit her.
'Hikari has no idea I used to be a real person... AM a real person!'
She thought it over more, feeling the definite sensation of developing limbs.
'Either she's making me into a bodysuit, or... What if she wants to try seperate me into two parts? Or cut a part off to see if it still changes?!'
However, when Kari stood back, Rukia sighed mentally with relief. And then realised.
'Wait! I'll black out! What happens if she is going to try separating me? I'll wake up in pieces if I even wake up at a....'
She did not awake in pieces. She awoke to feel herself expanding, as a nervous looking Hikari maintained contact. The girl kept glancing at the door, and then Rukia felt something very strange.
She saw the door and the ceiling. She heard Hikari's heart racing with nerves as she did... whatever she was doing, and her nerves made her nose itch. Rukia hoped Hikari would scratch it soon, it was annoying. She also felt like she was growing into clothes.
And then Hikari let go, and scratched her nose.
Rukia didn't feel it.
"What... Why didn't I..." She said, and then paused.
"...I spoke?"
"Y...Yeah... You spoke but..." Hikari was confused.
"Um... Are you a different person?"
Rukia sat up and looked at her hands, and then she saw the mirror.
Staring back, were two Hikaris. One was the normal, now slightly nervous original. The second was wearing white facepaint, it seemed, and wore a multi-coloured, multi-patterend costume. There were diamond chequered patches, striped patches, square checked patches, dotted patches, and patches that were a mishmash of colours. The look was topped off by oversized buttons, a ruffled collar, and a red nose. She was a clown...
"...What were you doing?"
"I... I wanted to see if I could make a copy of myself and... Well, I always liked clowns so I decided to try and make a copy of me as a clown."
Rukia-HikariClown blinked.
"Okay... I guess that makes sense to you..."
"Um, how come you're different? From me? Your voice is different and it's like you think different. Do you even like clowns?"
Rukia-HikariClown sighed.
"This might be tricky to explain. But... Well, I was a person before I was a hoody... And I actually prefer bunnies..."
Alternative Ending Two - Clownsuit
She instead awoke to feel her back being unzipped open and her head felt like it was falling forward, and then she felt her legs being filled, then her arms. She felt herself moving as Hikari pulled her on fully, and watched through the young girl's eyes as she looked in a mirror. Hikari was indeed wearing a bodysuit.
The bodysuit was multi-patterned and multi-coloured. Striped patches, chequered patches, squares and diamonds, polka-dot patches, and bare patches of solid bright colour. It looked like a clown suit, and even as she tried to do the zipper up, the girl kept glancing at the door nervously, as if someone might catch her.
She then gave a whoop of joy as she finally pulled the zip up. Rukia felt it now, though somehow her head was still hanging forward. And as Hikari looked down, she discovered why.
The "hood" her head had become was a full mask to go over Hikari's head. Rukia felt her whole head being filled in, and heard Hikari's thoughts once more.
'This is so cool!'
Rukia looked through Hikari's eyes, seeing now that there was a red wig-like portion on the head, and the face mask was indeed like a clown's facepaint, right down to a big red nose attached to it.
'Clowns aren't cool at all...' Rukia mentally commented.
And then Hikari froze. Rukia could feel her fear... Hikari was now very scared. And then she realised why.
Hikari had heard something.
"Who... Who said that?" She asked, nervously.
'Wait... You heard me?'
Hikari felt very nervous, and Rukia was feeling it too, sharing Hikari's senses as she did.
"Who... Who are you? Where are you?"
'Wait, how do I answer her? This is going to be tricky...'
"What do you mean?!" Hikari yelped.
'Hey, calm down, please! Um... This is going to sound odd but I'm your suit. '
"The... the suit? You've got a mind?"
'Yes. And... I've always had one. In fact I wasn't a hoody before. I was a person and a friend of mine, well, this must sound crazy, but she turned me into a whole bunch of things and then when I...' Rukia began, but Hikari blinked.
"Um... I somehow... Your name was.... is... Rukia?
'...You know what I'm trying to say?'
"Yeah. I do, and I... it's like I'm remembering what it was..."
Hikari sat down on the floor trembling.
"I can't calm down! This is scary..."
'As scary as Piedmon?' Rukia found herself thinking suddenly.
Both she and Hikari paused.
"...Okay, I guess not. So... you know my memories too?"
Rukia didn't really have to reply.
"Then... Then I have to take you off and try turning you back into you!" Hikari said, and began to pull the hood/mask forward.
'No, wait a min...ute.' Rukai sighed, as her mental link was severed, and Hikari hurriedly began to undress from the suit...
Alternative Ending Three A- Bunny Suit
It felt like she was growing legs.

She felt herself moving as Hikari pulled her on fully, and watched through the young girl's eyes as she looked in a mirror. Hikari was indeed wearing a bodysuit.
It looked grey... and if she felt right she still had the ears. Even as Hikari tried to do the zipper up, the girl kept glancing at the door nervously, as if someone might catch her, meaning Rukia never got a good look.
Rukia simply looked through Hikari's eyes and agreed.
What she saw, was a humanoid bunny about four feet high. Thanks to the mask, it had whiskers, and the ears seemed to be somewhat rigid halfway up so only the tips drooped. The whole body was grey fur, apart from the abdominal area, hands, and feet which were white. A puffball white tail finished the look.
'I look so cute!'
Hikari blinked.
'Well... I do look cute... but... that sounded like...'
"Is someone there?"
Rukia somehow felt the odd sensation of paranoia, and also the strangeness of realising that Hikari had heard her.
'Um... Hello? Don't freak out or anything but, uh... I was the hoody. But before that I was...'
Hikari had begun to tense at the voice, then became confused.
"Rukia? Your name is Rukia? How did you..."
Hikari then blinked a few times, and Rukia was puzzled to feel the strange simultaneous sensations of remembering how she got here, "hearing" Hikari share the memory, and feeling Hikari's surprise at this.
"You used to be a woman... I need to try and turn you back! I'm sorry you'll black out but I need to..."
'No, wait a minute!' Rukia yelled mentally. Hikari flinched.
"Oh... Um, are you sure?"
Hikari blinked as Rukia's thought was understood without her even mentally vocalising it.
"Okay... I guess if you really want to be a bunny suit a while I can keep you on but... I do turn you back later, right?"
'...There's some things I think might be fun to try. Like maybe I can be a real bunny? Or... A Gatomon?'
Alternative Ending Four A - Gato Suit
It felt like she was growing legs.
She hoped at first that she was turning back to normal, but then it hit her.

The "hood" her head had become was a full mask to go over Hikari's head. Rukia felt her whole head being filled in, and heard Hikari's thoughts once more.
'This is so cool!'
Rukia stared through her eyes in confusion. It was... Like a cat. The bodysuit was white furred all over, but the front paws seemed more like gloves, green with orange stripes. The ears were oversized, and tipped with three purple... whiskers? A similar three-pronged end was on the tail, which was striped purple. The face looked cat-like, but only had two whiskers on each side and seemed a little flat for a cat... but it looked like a cat, and so, Rukia's first though was of course...
'A cat?'
Hikari froze. Rukia felt her tension.
"Who... Who said that?"
'You heard me?!'
Hikari began looking around the room in a panic.
'Calm down, Hikari!'
"How do you know my name?!" Hikari screeched, and bolted for the door.
'Wait! I'm the suit! Well, no, I'm not really the suit, I was a person!' Rukia began to try and explain.
Hikari stopped in her tracks, and Rukia was puzzled to feel the strange simultaneous sensations of remembering how she got here, "hearing" Hikari share the memory, and feeling Hikari's surprise at this.
"...Your name is Rukia? Um... I'm really sorry... about all the... Um..."
Hikari knew that Rukia held no malice towards her, but Rukia could sense the girl was a little concerned for Orihime's safety. Even though she had never met the other woman, and her only knowledge of her was second-hand from Rukia, and rather negative.
"Um, thanks... I think. You... you did mean to be nice when you called me a sweet kid there, right? I'm just not sure..."
Rukia was about to confirm this when she and Hikari both realised the answer. And even though Rukia already knew it, Hikari spoke.
"Hey. We don't even need to really speak... Or think... to each other at all. We know what we're gonna say!" Hikari beamed, and then frowned. Rukia realised her thoughts. Even as Hikari reached for the zipper to take the suit-Rukia off and tr
'...Wait! Before you turn me back there's some things I think might be fun to try. Like maybe I can be a real Gatomon? Or... A Bunny?'
Hikari blinked, and Rukia knew she was confused. But also, interested...
Alternative Ending Three B -Real Bunny
Hikari had removed Rukia, and placed her hands on the suit. Rukia became aware again, and felt herself shrinking, and growing more solid... more... fluffy. Through Hikari's eyes, she saw herself shift into the shape of a bunny, and couldn't help but mentally squeal with joy. Hikari did not hear it though, since it seemed the full head-covering was the only cause of the thought sharing.
And then she felt Hikari walk back, stopped seeing through the girl's eyes... and through her own. Her own bunny eyes.
'Yes! This is awesome!' She leapt with happiness, and then realised.
She couldn't talk!
"Ah... Wait, bunnies... Bunnies are animals!" Hikari suddenly realised, and touched Rukia.
She felt herself freeze as Hikari concentrated in alarm, then drew her hand back. Rukia had heard Hikari's urging to change Rukia into Rukia mentally (fearing she had the mind of a rabbit), and to let her talk. She found herself stating the obvious before she even actually realised the meaning of Hikari's change attempts.
"Um, Hikari, I was me before. I just could...n't talk. Hey. I can talk now!"
Hikari sighed with relief.
"You're okay then?"
The bunny nodded, and Hikari giggled.
"Good. Um, I just realised. What if you get stuck like that?"
Rukia thought this for a moment.
"Well... If I am stuck as a bunny, it could be worse... And Orihime will have to fix me. But we can't go right now so... Maybe I can pretend to be a plushy or... Wait, you could change me to talk. Maybe you can change me to something else?"
"Like what? Back to the real you?"
"Well... You can't leave the house and it'd be odd if I walked out of your door so... I think I need to be hidden so you can get me out of the house before I can leave. So... Try making me into a plushy bunny."
Hikari obeyed, touching Rukia... Who quickly could not speak, shift her vision, and felt fluffy.
But she didn't mind that. She squealed mentally with joy once more.
And then, Hikari nervously hugged her.
"Um... Hope this isn't weird but you're cute..."
Rukia just mentally nodded.
'This is nice...'
Hikari grinned.
"Hey! I heard you there... If I hold onto you I know what you're thinking when you're a toy?"
Rukia suddenly felt curious.
'...Hikari, do you want to try experiment with this? I've got a lot of ideas...'
Alternative Ending Four B -Real Gatomon
Hikari had removed Rukia, and placed her hands on the suit. Rukia became aware again, and felt herself shrinking, and growing more solid... more... fluffy. Through Hikari's eyes, she saw herself shift into the shape of a Gatomon and she couldn't help but sigh and wish she was becoming a bunny. Hikari did not hear it though, since it seemed the full head-covering was the only cause of the thought sharing.
And then she felt Hikari walk back, stopped seeing through the girl's eyes... and through her own. Her own Digimon eyes.
"Okay... I guess this is good..."
Hikari looked a little sadly at Rukia.
"You're remembering the real Gatomon, aren't you?"
Hikari just nodded, and Rukia saw her eyes were watering.
"...You can turn me into something else if this is... I know how much Gatomon means to you..."
Hikari wiped her eyes, and sniffled a little.
"No... It's okay, Rukia. I'm just being a baby... I saw you and I remembered..."
She paused, and Rukia, from sharing Hikari's memories briefly, could guess why Hikari was so upset.
"You'll see her again. The real Gatomon, I mean."
And then Rukia realised.
"...Wow, Hikari, I just realised. You've had a pretty strange life."
Hikari giggled.
"So have you... I saw your memories too, remember?"
Gatomon-Rukia smirked.
"Fair enough... So, uh... How about we try change me into something else just now?"
"Like what? Back to the real you?" Hikari asked.
"Well... You can't leave the house and it'd be odd if I walked out of your door so... I think I need to be hidden so you can get me out of the house before I can leave. So... Try making me into a plushy... Or something."
Hikari nodded.
"You've got a point... It would be weird. But you might be stuck here a little while more then."
Rukia shook her head.
"I'd rather play it safe. Besides, I've got a lot of ideas... I kinda want to play around with this whole shapeshifting thing."
Hikari giggled.
"If you're sure..."
Alternative Ending Five -Clown Clone Completely
Rukia stopped feeling anything, in fact. Her mind was now being changed, and with barely any realisation, what had been Rukia went into hibernation, and in her place, a copy of Hikari's own mind. She remembered everything, remembered planning to change the hoody... herself... into a copy of herself... Hikari... dressed as in a clown suit
Even despite this, the fully formed Kari-Clown-Clone then blinked, and gasped at seeing the "other" Hikari.
"Hey! Wait! Don't panic, you were..."
"...I was the hoody before?" The Clown-Clone realised as she remembered. The original grinned.
"Yeah! Are you really.... Are we really the same? What sort of stuff do you remember?"
"Um... I'm not sure. Try something."
"What was your favourite toy when you were little other than the whistle?" Original Hikari prompted.
The Clown-Clone smiled.
"Easy. The Coco the Clown Doll Tai bought."
The original Hikari cheered and hugged her similarly happy clone, who was blissfully unaware of what she had... Not so much forgotten, but was unlikely to ever have a need to remember any time soon.
Alternative Ending Six: Complete Clone

She remembered everything, remembered planning to change the hoody... herself... into a copy of herself... Hikari... A perfect clone.
Even despite this, the copy blinked and gasped at seeing herself.
"Hey! Wait! Don't panic, you were..."
"...I was the hoody before?" The Clone realised as she remembered. The Original grinned.
"Yeah! Are you really.... Are we really the same? What sort of stuff do you remember?"
"Um... I'm not sure. Try something."
"What was your favourite toy when you were little other than the whistle?" Original Hikari prompted.
The Clone smiled.
"Easy. The Coco the Clown Doll Tai bought."
The original Hikari cheered and hugged her similarly happy clone, who had an idea. Right now, there was something else to try.
"Hey! Try and change me again!" The Clone suggested eagerly. The Original nodded, and reached out. As she touched her copy, both Hikaris gasped.
"I saw what you were thinking!" Both said together.
"That was cool!" They both said again.
The Original let go.
"Um. So, what do we try?"
The Clone pondered.
"Why not... Um... Transform me into clothes again?"
"Or a toy? Or like a different person?
"Or... What about..."
The two copies of the same girl began thinking up all the ideas they could. Unfortunately, the two were really thinking up the same ideas... And neither of them were even aware of what the clone had... Not so much forgotten, but was unlikely to ever have a need to remember any time soon.

'Oh. What are you changing me into... now...' Rukia puzzled, as she felt... odd... like she was growing.... legs...
Hope that she was turning back faded as she realised Hikari had no idea about her. Rukia realised legs meant two things. A bodysuit, or Hikari planned to cut her in half to see what happened...
In fact, that wasn't the plan at all. Rukia was relieved when Hikari stood back, and then fretted as she realised she would black out. She feared she would awake in pieces...
She did not. She awoke to feel herself expanding, as a nervous looking Hikari maintained contact. She kept glancing at the door, and then Rukia felt something very strange.

"...I spoke?"
"Y...Yeah... You spoke but..." Hikari was confused.
"Um... Are you a different person?"
Rukia sat up and looked at her hands, and then thought she looked at Hikari in the mirror.
But then she realised.
There were two Hikaris. One sitting on the floor, awe-struck. And another right behind her, looking a little worried. The one on the floor wore clothes that were different to the one behind but they were otherwise identical. Hikari had actually dressed the changed hoody in those clothes and let the copy grown into them, so to speak.
"Um... Hikari, this... This is going to be a really long story but... What were you doing?"
"I wanted to see if I... Could make a copy of myself from you. But you have a different voice... And you're a different person?"
Rukai sighed.
"Okay, I think I had better explain this then..."
