The party was well attended. Over two dozen friends of the sisters had arrived, various mages, wizards, witches, and warlocks. Party games were played, party pranks were pulled, and a good time was had by all.
All, that is, apart from fifteen "guests" of honour without whom the party would not have been such a smash.
Three of them had became servants. Daniel Ruba, Danee, and Raine Sage. One butler, two maids. Their conversion to this role had been half magic, half hypnosis. The two ladies wound up dressed in skimpy maids uniforms, and were given professional yet flirtatious personalities, while Daniel was in a tuxedo and had become a polite, though somewhat sarcastic, butler.
The reasons in both cases, were for the interest of the guests. The male guests enjoyed the eye candy, whilst the female guests either found Daniel handsome or cute. All in all having the three serving drinks was an irreplaceable asset in making the party work.
For the servants themselves though, things were a little less pleasant. Unable to command their own bodies to do anything but obey orders, they walked like zombies, speaking in a polite monotone. But their real selves still watched, trapped within their minds, aware this was wrong but powerless to fight it.
"Yes Madam, I will fetch you a refill." Daniel's mouth said, as his mind wanted to say other things.
He moved towards the table with the glass, all the while with his real mind raged.
'Drop the glass! Rip that stupid suit off! Why won't my body do what I want it to?! '
Danee's own thoughts were also displeased.
'I would have done this for payment. As it is, I just want to hurt someone now...'
Raine's thoughts, were very annoyed.
'This is all some nutty dream... You're not going to rip anyone apart because none of these people exist... And who keeps pinching my butt?!'

Of course, another key event for the sisters at least were the dresses they wore, each tailored exactly to their ideal dress by their own magics. The three dresses, however, had been made from a guest of honour each. Link was a golden dress worn by Alecto, Samus a blue ballgown, and Stefanie a green strapless dress.
Each was feeling the strange sensation of being worn, a sensation of being shaped around another person, of feeling their body warmth and an odd tingling fleeing as the material they were swished as the wearer moved.
'This is so weird... I wish she'd made me a little looser, this is really unsettling shifting every time she so much as twitches.' Link thought.
She had managed to dismiss the more obvious questions from personal experiences. Samus, had not.
'How can I even see? How can I feel? How can I hear? I'm meant to be a dress! If I'm going to have bad dreams I just wish they'd make sense...
Stefanie, however, was also asking. Unlike Samus, she received answers. Pemphredo was eager to tell.
"Yeah. The mind controls so many of those things that if the enchantment leaves you aware, you'll retain most senses. You can't smell or taste just now, but it's possible for your mind to emulate it with the help of other spells."
However, the wearers of the other two dresses tired of complaining fashion. Quick spells entranced the minds into simply telling themselves one thing, and doing it very quietly.
'I am a dress. I am the best dress. I make mistress look beautiful, because I am beautiful and so is mistress. I must be worn to be my most beautiful. I am a dress...'

Three other important objects stood. They were prizes, so to speak. Though not what would be won by guests, each statue of Bronze, Silver, or Gold would have a perfect replica given to their winners later. For now, though, Isabell, Janett and Peach stood, believing they had won a great prize to become the statues they were. They had for a moment been freed of their trances, but like the dresses, as they were whining, the three sisters reverted their minds to a trance.
Each felt they were art, their minds entranced into having one desire: to be the best statue they could be. They felt joy at seeing people stare. Their minds were affected by a more complex trance than the two dresses.
'Bronze is Best! I don't blind you when you look at me! I'm the best statue, I'm the best art! I'm not some over-polished "precious" metal that's full of itself! I'm a solid material, I last for much longer. And what about theft? Silver and Gold are more valuable, much more costly to insure! Isabell sold partygoers on the merits of a lovely bronze such as herself, unheard.
'I reflect the real world, in my shape and in my form. I'm more valuable than bronze but harder than gold. You can see yourself in me, if you keep me well polished...' Janett thought, performing a silent role as a silver merchant.
'What's more precious than gold? A gold statue that is of the most beautiful shape! I am an eternal treasure, forever beautiful, forever gold...' Peach proclaimed in her auric head.

They were not the only prizes. Three smaller prizes, with a similar role as stand ins, but a slightly softer complexion. One plush doll, one plush toy puppy, and one plush doll of a blonde female in a reindeer costume. Jeri, Kaede, and Linkette, each confused, displeased, or both, at what had happened to them.
'This is... Wow, I can feel all that fluff... I'm a stuffed toy. Oh, being hugged feels odd... Like I'm getting smaller...' Jeri noted, as a partygoer proclaimed the three plush toys adorable and mass-hugged them.
'Why am I a toy of a puppy? What relevance does this have to a party?' Kaede pondered, her mind so confused it was asking minor questions hypothetically.
'This sucks. A doll, bad enough, dressed as a reindeer, worse! I must look as stupid as I feel...' Linkette groused.

The last three guests were also in important roles. The tree, and the life-sized plush donkey used for one party game, were all made from Lumi, Nancy, and Suzie. Lumi was getting tails pinned onto her, Nancy had made like a tree but had little choice about trying to leave. Meanwhile, a very confused Suzie sat atop Nancy, the fairy decoration that finished the setup.
'Owch! Stop pinning me!' Lumi wailed. It didn't hurt as such, but the sensation of a hand poking a small tack into her now equine and fluffy body was very, very strange.
Nancy was of a similar mind to the dresses, after having complained a lot. Unlike Lumi, no one found it funny.
'What a wonderful tree I am. I am perfectly decorated. I have the most adorable fairy, the finest baubles, the most exquisite tinsel and lights...'
The Most Adorable Fairy however was bemused.
'Why is everyone so low down? And so big? This is silly... I wanna wake up now...'

The party was over.
"Well, our real guests are gone. I think we can send the others back now!" Stheno beamed.
"Shure, yeah... Letsh shend them.... Shend them all home to... Shomewhere." Alecto slurred.
"Um... Why is the room spinny? And... Oh, man, I spilled the last of the wine. Will that stain her?" Pemphredo pondered.
Stheno sighed.
"Okay, maybe in the morning... And once you pair sleep off the hangovers. Honestly, lightweights..."
"'m not a lightweight! She'sh the light one!" Alecto giggled, and transformed Pemphredo into an inflatable pool toy, with the dress still wrapped around her.. Stheno sighed again, and transformed both into mannequins instead.
"Or sleep them off as mannequins. Pair of idiots..."
She retired to bed, hanging Samus up carefully before going to sleep
As it happened, it was three days later when the sisters wound up sending their guests of honour home. Stheno's own hangover hit hard, making her forget to revert her sisters. Her own judgement had been impaired by her drunkenness. Though she usually retained her common sense and could seem normal when drunk, she had forgotten her sisters would not cure any inebriation as statues, nor revert themselves if they were so out of it.
And so, once all were with heads not full of marching bands, the guests of honour were reverted, and returned home with a quick spell each. The spell was meant to make them not remember a single thing of their time with the sisters.
Not all of them, however, would forget. And not all of them would forget to the same degrees... And sometimes, even those who remembered might have quickly plunged into denial.
Some, however...

Three of them were dreamers.
Danee awoke, puzzled. She had dreamt of a party. There were statues there... And another maid. Plus a butler. The butler was some sort of anthropomorphic animal.
And while she'd been serving as a maid she'd been unable to do anything but what others told her. She frowned, and wondered why she had such a bizarre dream.
Lumi had awoken in bed, and at first wondered why she wasn't on all fours. She also had absent-mindely rubbed her posterior, thinking somehow that there were pins in it... She remembered her odd dream as she awoke properly. She'd been a doll for a three-dimensional pin the tail on the donkey game.
...Dreams all have meanings. What the heck does that kind of dream mean?' She frowned.
For now, Link's memory as a dress was a dream, a strange dream of swishing, of that sensation of being worn... She had been largely forgetting it by the time Peach had arrived. She idly recalled that Peach had been there, and maybe she'd find the strange dream amusing...
***
Linkette, perhaps fortunately, only remembered a vague dream as she awoke.
'Why do I remember something about a stuffed deer? Oh yeah. Link and Peach mentioned it a few days ago. Hmm... Maybe I can turn Link into a deer toy? Or change her clothes into a reindeer suit suddenly? But why would I want to... It's not as fun as some things... '
In her own bedroom, Suzie was very puzzled. She'd dreamt of being a little fairy, standing over a crowd of people. She had decided to try and wear a old fairy costume she had, but it didn't fit any more. She pondered this and smiled.
"That's why I was small! Cos the costume wouldn't have fit! My dreams are smart!"
Stefanie, meanwhile, found herself looking through a catalogue, looking for some new clothes.
'Somehow after that dream I can't help but think I need a green dress... That dream about that dress, it's like an omen...

Six others had strange sensations as they awoke. Just a single key word or idea for three, and just an odd blank feeling for the others. Isabell wondered why bronze was on her mind, Raine had a strange desire to hit someone, and Daniel for some reason had an image of a tuxedo in his head.
Kaede, Nancy, and Janett meanwhile simply awoke, pondered an odd feeling of forgetfulness, and got on with their lives.
***
However, three individuals remembered it all.
"What... I'm me! I'm squishy not squashy!" Jeri whooped as she awoke, leaping out of bed.
"...Um, Oneesan, what do you mean?" Masahiko, her half-brother, wondered. He was hugged for his troubles.
"Masahiko! I was a stuffed doll and I was in a weird place but now I'm back and I'm normal!" She said, as her alarmed sibling tried to free himself from his crazy sister.
***
"That had to be a dream..." Samus tried to deny.
She'd awoken, and it was all so real to her it couldn't have been imaginary. She'd been a ballgown. It made no sense to dream that way but it made no sense for people to be turned into clothes.
"Gha... I'd better just try pretend it was a dream. I'll look crazy saying that..."
***
"You were... what?" Link asked.
"A gold statue!" Peach repeated.
She had rushed in, proclaimed something weird had just happened, and told her story.
"But... In my dream you were a gold statue too..."
"It wasn't a dream, Link!"
Link frowned.
"Was this Linkette... No... I remember something about her there too..."
"We should go see if she remembers too! She might be kind of nuts but weird magic is her area!" Peach said, yanking Link out of the door.
"Whoa! Let me get dressed first, Peach!"
***
"So, we going to do that again some day?" Alecto wondered.
"Well... Maybe. Perhaps a summer party, or... Easter? No, Circe has something planned... Hmm... I guess we'll see." Stheno noted.
"I hope we can. That was a lot of fun." Pemphredo grinned.
The sisters agreed.
Most of their guests, now back home, did not.
