where the watch had come from, and what it did wasn't beyond explaination. indeed, this strange pocket watch that would cause a great deal of chaos could have actually answered. and did, but after zelos kicked it, picked it up, and heard it speak, he soon forgot the explaination it gave as it moved on to explain its power. it spoke in his head in a soft voice, and the bewilderment of picking up a psychic watch threw him off guard.
...with me in your hand, a wave across their eyes and they will be under your complete control. they will obey any order but be warn...
'any order?' zelos asked the watch.
yes...
'like i could tell a bunch of women to walk around naked and they'd do it?'
yes... but there are important...
'so, i could make all the women forget i was there and i could watch them shower or bathe?'
yes, but i can do much more, and i am trying to explain some important rules... the watch said, exasperated. but it was ignored again as zelos's perverted mind imagined his power in terms of voyuerism.
'don't care, got work to do.' zelos dismissed the watch
well, fine. i was just going to warn you after 12 hours in your hands i seek a new owner and the entranced regain their minds and remember everything, just thought it might be important since they're usually angry. i also was going to tell you i grant a single wish that is permament but i guess there's no point telling you that the watch said, then fell silent.

they were here because somehow, genis had managed to fall ill with a vomiting bug. they'd been waiting in the town for a day now and would wait a day more to be sure he was recovered, but it left the others with nothing to do but wait. thanks to this watch, zelos had many ideas of something to do, and so began looking for the women of the group, first, he found presea. he waved the watch past her eyes first.
'so, presea. tell me how you feel...' he said.
'i will obey all you command.' she said, in a monotone voice as she stared blankly forward.
'how nice... did this watch work?'
'yes.' she replied.
zelos grinned.
'stand on your head.' he commanded. she obeyed.
'okay, now dance...'
she began trying to dance, but still performing her handstand. she promptly fell over, and kept trying to dance on the floor.
'okay, uh, stand up.... and act like a chicken.' he commanded. she did so, making 'buckaw!' noises in the same strange entranced monotone as she tried to peck the floor.
'hmmm... okay, stop acting like a chicken and act normal. but every time you hear the letter e, i want you to giggle.' he commanded.
'got that, everything understood?' he asked. she giggled, then returned to her tranced state.
'cool. come with me' he said, earning another giggle.
presea was cute, but he had more intresting ideas with more... intresting ladies. he set off to find them, presea in tow.
***
'lloyd. have you seen colette around?' zelos asked as he found lloyd. the man in red looked at presea in confusion as she giggled.
'sure. she was over the other side of town.' he said, bewildered as presea giggled again.
'okay, thanks. presea, wait here for now.' zelos ordered. as he walked off, he could hear her giggling. lloyd must have been saying e a lot while he tried to figure out what was going on...
but it wasn't collette he found first. it was sheena and raine. zelos waved the watch and sheena fell into a trance.
'why are you waving...' raine began, before falling into a trance herself.
'come with me, ladies...' he grinned, leading them away

inside his room, the two entranced women stood stiff as boards.
'hmm, how do i start?' he pondered.
'i know! raine, do a handstand, and sheena, you take a shower!' he ordered. they obeyed, sheena walking to the shower
zelos followed sheena with a grin, a grin that had grown extensivley as sheena, post-shower, returned back at his command, with her clothes back on over her still wet skin. he'd had her dry off and then go back into the shower, having enjoyed his show so much. and also to let her clothes dry off as he had forgot to tell her to remove them before she drenched herself...
'its wrong to abuse this power... but it's so great!' zelos said gleefully.
'okay, now, the two of you. embrace each other and kiss!' he commanded. they obeyed.
'this is great! hold your pose! like statues!' he commanded, wanting to savour the kiss between the two beauties. unfortunately, they took the command literally and turned to stone.
'okay... turn back.'
with stone ears, they could not hear and obey the command. zelos frantically began commanding them to revert, and tried other ways to cure it, but none worked. they had been told to hold the pose like statues, and like statues, they were inanimate stone.
'oh great... they make a hot statue but if i can't turn them back i'm screwed...' he sighed.
'okay, i'll have to find colette and get her to help... don't want to hypnotise a guy...' he muttered.
***
colette fell under when he found her, in her room. but upon seeing the shower, zelos was distracted...
he'd spent six of his hours with the watch, but blissfully oblivious to his time limit, he then wasted more time and once again forgot that the commands were followed somewhat literally.
'figure out a way to change them back' zelos commanded, having brought collette to the two petrified and kissing women. the hypnotised young woman simply shrugged, like she had done every time he'd asked her something she had no answer too, or couldn't do. he'd found this out when he told her to take off her hat. she shrugged in response, as she hadn't been wearing one.
'come on, you have to have some idea!' he said. he'd spent hours trying to get her entranced mind to think of something and trying more attempts to cure them . she shrugged again.
'ghaa! you might as well be a statue too!' he said without thinking. colette petrified mid-shrug. zelos swore.
***
he'd found presea again. she'd been as useful as colette, but he'd avoided petrifying her so far. instead she had been told to listen for anyone coming as he tried to figure out a way to revert the three statues. his door was locked, but he didn't want to have to explain why he'd petrified three of his companions...
'i wish you'd all just turn back from being statues already!' he said, exasperated. the petrified women promptly did so.
'wait, i told you to do that earlier! how come that didn't work?!' he fumed, oblivious to having wasted his wish and his only permanent outcome of his dwindling time wtih the watch. none of them answered, all four shrugging at the same time. he soon recovered.
'okay, now all four of you, go take a shower...' he ordered, grinning at the prospect of seeing all of them clustered into the very small shower space... he daydreamed of the sight as the four walked away in their dazed trance.
it was at that point, 12 hours had passed. the five women dropped their zombie-like movements and shook their heads.
'what's wrong, ladies? just keep moving to the shower...' zelos said.
'shower?' sheena asked. then a memory surfaced and she became angry. very angry. she turned on zelos in a rage, marching towards him. he began waving the watch like he was holding a crucifix to ward off a vampire. but she didn't fall into a trance like before.
'why won't you work?' zelos asked the watch fearfully as sheena advanced. she snatched it from his grasp, waving it across his eyes in the process. he fell into a trance.
greetings, i... oh, getting started already, not even ignoring me as i tell you what i am. wonderful. what does a magic sentient superhypnotising watch have to do to get listened to around here? the watch protested, unheard by an angry sheena as she slapped the entranced zelos.
'get out of my sight you perverted ass!' she screamed.
she was surprised to see him transform into a donkey, and then run away. the women stared in surprise as zelos the donkey bolted away.
'...what just happened?' colette asked.
i'd tell you but no one seems to want to listen to me... the watch said gloomily.
