Someone recently pointed out to me, and I completely agree, that having no choices simplifies things.
Take this image. I can’t move my arms at all, but other than that, I can move quite a bit. But I can’t see or hear and everything smells like latex. So I hae no input with which to make a choice about where or how I might move. Best just to stay here on my knees and writhe.
So simple.
I don’t have tk come up with conversation either. My mouth is packed and sealed up tightly. My face, like the rest of me, is pressed in firmly from all around by my oppressive second layer or “skin.” I can’t open my mouth to make even muffled sounds.
Not speaking is just simpler.
The total situation is that I am dependent ow on someone else. COMPLETELY dependent. They allow me sir through the nostril holes. They give me input with touches and torments. I have nothing inside this sensory starved vacuum pocket universe. So I have nothing to want or expect or covet.
Having nothing is simple.
This is an absolute. It’s perfect. There are no compromises or negotiations. No conflicts. No identity. Just an object.
Such a simple life.
