(This one is ALL about the art. Thanks for the great work @Zwangjacket and @Rook-07 !!)
Hello loyal viewers! This is Bob Bobson coming to you live across the Infinite Network on your favorite streaming channel for all the latest sanctioned news, Infinite News Network!”
“I know you’re all incredibly excited for tonight’s special guest! And now for the moment that you’ve all been waiting for. You’ve seen her movies. You’ve played her video games. And she’d made all of our intimate and kinky fantasies come as close to true as modern technology will allow. All the way from a digitized version of Paris, Kentucky, here is Tina X!!!!”
(Applause…Cheers…Cat Calls….)
“Hi Y’All! So great to see you. It’s so amazing to be here. Hello Bob. Big fan of your show. Always have been!” The screen split between the scene of the life airing of the show and the image of Tina on her iconic farm. She leaned against a wooden fence with fields, farm buildings and rolling hills behind her. “Sorry I can’t be there in person with you, but…kind of a simulation here, right…” The crowd finished Tina’s well-known tagline on cue.
“RIGHT!!!!!”
(Laughter from the audience and from Bob.)
“Tina you’re just precious…” Bob extolled.
“Well, Bob, that’s what the shareholders think.” Tina and the audience laughed again.
“That’s true.” Bob interjected. “Financial disclosures for the last quarter of the Infinite Corporation estimate you are responsible to 1.5 trillion credit in activity. And that’s just for the quarter people!”
(Raucous applause!)
“How much of that do you get anyway, Tina?” Bob acted like he was bracing for a big number. Tina smiled humbly.
“You know I don’t see a credit, you old tease, Bob! Slave labor right here! In fact, isn’t that one of your favorite games for use to play whenever you plug into Tina’s Infinite Submission?” Tina winked.
“We’ll get to that after taping young lady!”
“Can’t wait Bob! You know I just LOVE to serve…”
(The interview shifted from the ice-breaker into small talk. Bob asked if Tina as ACTUALLY from Kentucky, and Tina admitted that she didn’t know. But it would make sense considering Kentucky was one of the few areas of the globe that wasn’t overlapped by target zones when war with the Artificial Intelligence nearly destroyed the human race. Tina explained that her background was pretty basic at first. Like most VR characters, she was never meant for more than a background character that would appear in a few backgrounds and maybe have a few forgettable lines of dialogue and then get recycled and used as spare data for another character down the road. But she caught a break and got “discovered” in her first tiny part in a horror movie and was deemed “marketable.” The Infinite Corporation kept promoting her and investing in her and writing more code for her and now here she is, beating the odds, and virtually living as the darling toy of 87% of the mankind.)
“Tina, speaking about your big start, have WE got a surprise for YOU!” Tina leaned forward with an exaggerate look of anticipation.
“Oh do you? I hope it’s better than the LAST surprise you had for me, Bob. I still can’t believe you got that last bead to fit…” Bob ignored Tina’s joke and continued with his introduction.
“From your BIG BREAK! He’s the main villain from the global hit movie series Camp Rook, IT’S THE CREEPER!!!” A huge, hulking man wearing sogging, dirty clothes strolled ominously onto the stage and toward the couch next to Bob. “He’s just the best, right folk?”
(The Creeper waved and people applauded. Tina smiled and squealed with delight.)
“Oh my god. This is amazing. Creeper! It’s been so long. You look fantastic!” The Creeper sat on the couch. A synthesized voice filled the feed.
“Thanks Bob. Hey Tina. When ya coming back to Camp Rook??”
“I don’t know Creeper. Next time Katie Blake and I go for a run in the country, maybe. I don’t really know how that curse of Camp Rook works.” The Creeper’s hooded face did not reveal him speaking, but the synthesized voice continued.
“I don’t think Katie will be running with you again anytime soon. Not after I fed into that wood chipper back in Camp Rook Seventeen.” Bob stepped in.
“Oh, I remember that! That was a classic kill. And Creeper, wasn’t that supposed to have been Tina that got all wood chipped?” Tina’s face looked confused as though she was hearing this for the first time.
“Yeah Bob. Katie was the up-and-comer. She was going to be ‘the girl who lived’ to get killed off in the opening of the next movie. Classic formula!” Bob nodded approvingly.
“Sure is a classic. Tina, how did you get them to re-write your part, anyway?” Tina blinked rapidly.
“Rewrite? What? Um. I don’t…”
(In the control room at the Infinite News Network, the supervisor was answering a priority Alpha call while technicians leapt from their chairs to attention, and began reading output reports and furiously adjusting knobs and levers.)
“That’s a good question,” The Creeper bemused. “I had you in that water torture death bondage position out in the lake. Remember that? The buoy was tethered through a pulley in at the bottom and then up to your neck. You had to pull the buoy under the water to get your head above the surface to breathe. I stayed and watched your struggle to, you know, ‘get the shot.’ I figured that was the end of your character…”
“And probably the end of your career too, right?” Bob laughed hysterically.
(Laughter and Applause.)
(Tina twitched.)
“I don’t…what’s….what’s going on…” The synthesized Creeper voice took over again.
“I’m walking back to the cabins figuring Katie is going to pop out with a spear gun or something non-lethal for reanimated corpse like me, when all of the sudden, that little blonde firebrand cracks me in the back of the head with an oar!”
“That was awesome, Creeper!”
“Easy for you to say, Bob!”
(Lights are flashing in the control room at The Infinite Corporation News Network.)
“Seriously Tina, please tell the audience, how in the world did you get out of that? Not just out of the rigging, how’d you break character??”
“I don’t….remember. I…I don’t remember….I….please….”
(Some people in the audience came forward and stated they saw Tina X begin to shake and convulse as the fence bent and curved and seemed to envelope her. But those people all admitted they were just looking for attention later.)
(A “Technical Difficulties” message popped up on everyone’s feed.
It was soon replaced by unscheduled news reports about the economy, near earth space debris and other mundane matters.)
(In the control room, all hell was breaking loose as Tina began remembering things…)
TO BE CONTINUED WITH TINA REMEMBERING WHEN SHE BECAME AWARE…
