I was totally nervous about this one Y’all!  You may recall, I did a “post” about this something like three weeks ago and then I kept putting it off and putting it off.  To be 1,000% honest, I was sorry I put it out there in the first place.

There were two things that had me freaking out.  First, I’d never done a self-bondage session where I didn’t have an automatic release mechanism.  The bondage is always inescapable, but it’s only inescapable until the air mat turns off and releases the tension in the ropes and I’m able to wiggle my way out.  Sometimes its hard to do!  But it’s just a matter of time until the ropes relax, and I get free.  But for this session, there wasn’t going to be a release.  The ropes were NOT going to loosen on their own.  They were going to be cinched and tight and I was going to be helpless the whole dang time.  So, yeah, I had crazy butterflies going bonkers in my little submissive belly.

And the second thing is really straight forward.  I didn’t know if I could do it.  Look your freaking tight that is!  It’s not easy to tie yourself up that tight with your hands behind your back.  I could have used my leather cuffs, but then I’d have to cut them with the scissors to escape, and I didn’t want to ruin my gear.  I knew I could do it with the air mat, but then I’d be stuck on the air mat and wouldn’t be able to squirm over to the scissors.  A new challenge required a brand-new solution, and I didn’t have one at the time I posted my post.   Look before you leap Tina!!  Lol.  Anyway, I’d actually come pretty close to admitting defeat and taking the walk of shame.  That almost definitely would have cost me bid time consequences with some of y’all that I have a D/s situation going on with.  Which wouldn’t have sucked, totally, except for the part about losing.  I don’t like losing.  I make a point of winning most of the time.  I recommend it. Winning is better.

OK.  I figured out a solution, and it was obvious and genius (if I don’t say so myself), and I think I have new favorite piece of bondage gear!  More on that in a second.  First, the rest of the set up.

I posted the poll last night and gave all of y’all a chance to pick and extra element to make the challenge even more difficult.  Huge thank you to the 49 of you who voted!!  I love you!  You all rock!  When the votes were tallied, a blindfold was the clear victor.  In case you missed the poll, the other options were that my escape scissors would be wrapped in tape so I’d have to fumble with them to peal off the tape before I could cut my way to freedom, two 45 pound weights tethered to my ankles so I’d have to drag them with me across the room to reach the scissors, or a 2 hour time limit after which an email would go out to me best friend Sarah and ask her to come free me.  I don’t know if y’all were trying to be nice or trying to be mean, but you picked the hardest one, so thanks a freaking lot.  FYI, someone asked what I’d have done had there been a tie.  In that case I’d have used all of the options that tied.  So, let’s all let out a sigh of relief that THAT didn’t happen!

Let’s talk about the bondage rigging now.  I had to get into a super tight little ball tie with my arms box tied together right in the small of my back.  No small feat!  To pull this off, I had to follow a very carefully planned series of steps, and I had to do it without losing my balance of making any jerky motions.  You’ll understand why as we go.

First was the easy part.  I set a pair of safety scissor down on the concrete floor way across the room.  I would call it about 40 feet.  I made sure I had a clear path from the mat I was starting on to the scissors.  Didn’t wand to get snagged on anything.  I was wearing exercise attire.  Just a comfy sports bra, shorts, and thin socks.  I don’t perform experimental self-bondage positions naked in case Sarah or Lou have to come rescue me.  Hasn’t happened yet.  Perfect record!  Lol!

I already had my basic bondage collar with steel O-ring on.  I also had a shoulder harness on just made from a loop made from a long leather strap that I twisted in the middle like a figure-8 and then wore like a backpack.  I had a climbing carabiner clipped on where the straps crisscrossed behind me up between my shoulder blades.  I had another carabiner in the front holding the should loops together so the harness couldn’t slide off the back.

Next, I knelt down.  I crossed my ankles because that always feels more helpless to me and tied them really tight with nylon rope.  Then I tied my legs together above the knee with a triple loop of leather strap.  I didn’t make this one super tight because when I was balled up, my legs would bulge, so it would get tighter.  I also had a crotch strap made of waste belt which was low on my hips and another leather strap that ran front to back between my legs, holding the waste belt right there where I needed it.  The waste belt is super important.  Getting there y’all!!

Hanging from the carabiner between my shoulder blades, I had pre-hung a “coil” of about a dozen loops of rope, all fashioned from long length.  I didn’t have a way to hold the coil together and maintain it’s shape, so once I set it up, I just had to be really slow and careful with my movement.  Keeping the loops evenly spaced and of relatively similar size would make finishing the tie much easier.  So, I didn’t want to screw that up.  I was all set to gently slip my arms through both sides of the coil, but first, thanks to my DA “friends,” I had to blindfold myself.  Thanks.  You suck!  But I accepted the challenge, so I made it count.  I wrapped my head with a compression bandage nice and thick and I couldn’t see a speck of light.

OK.  NOW, I slipped my hands into both ends of the coil of rope loops.  And I forgot to mention earlier, but when I was tying my legs, I also tied my arms to my sides with two leather straps, one above and one below my bust.  So, after putting my hands through the coil, I was in a loose box tie.  My arms were bent at right angles with my forearms parallel to the ground.  My hands were about even with the elbow of the opposite arm.  The dozen or so rope loops that made the coil were spaced out pretty much covering the entirety of my overlapping forearms, wrist to wrist.  And remember, the whole coil was secured to my shoulder harness by the carabiner between my shoulder blades.  There was enough slack in the coil that I could raise and lower my arms a few inches by flexing or extending at my elbows.  And I could also still easily slip my hands back out if I wanted to.

Almost to the really, really cool part!  The other important feature of the coil was that I had a couple length of a cord, something like a super strong shoelace, wrapped twice around the length of the coil.  When I slipped my arms into the coil, I was careful to makes sure the cord was between my arms.  The reason was, the cord was going to be the cinch rope for the coil.  I was going to cinch it up by pulling the cord down, but I wanted it to pull down from the middle of the coil and not from the sides.  To make that happen, I hooked a tiny carabiner, about the size of sugar packet (because I’m drinking coffee right now) onto one of the loops in the middle of the coil.  The two loose ends of the cinch cord met at the carabiner and then extend down to my tightening mechanism.  What tightening mechanism you ask?  That’s my brilliant solution that made this whole bondage position possible.  It is a tactical tourniquet (pictured below) that I took apart and rebuilt to be used as a self-bondage tool.  I am SOOOO excited to talk about this!!

Let me back up.  I was teaching a Tac Med class to some police cadets at the range.  Tac Med is short for Tactical Medical Care.  It’s basically emergency life-saving care that you can perform on yourself and others while you still in a gun fight or some other form of mortal danger.  It’s messy.  It’s very limited.  A lot of it is basically, “Find the hole in your body that the bullet went in and start stuffing it with this 20-yard spool of cotton gauze.”  There are lots of specialized pieces of gear that you carry that are designed to be used by you, on yourself, when you are partially incapacitated.  One such item is the tactical tourniquet.  Now pay attention to what the tactical tourniquet is designed to do.  It is designed to take a loop of material (like a seat belt strap), tighten it around an arm or leg above a wound, tighten the loop until its stops the flow of blood to the wound, lock the mechanism so the injured can retreat or be evacuated, and it’s all designed to be applied one-handed if needed.  Holy shit, this was totally meant for self-bondage!  Right?  Right!

So, you see in the picture how the dude has the loop already on his arm?  That’s the first step.  Then you twist that composite lever around in a circle.  Doing that winds up the strap and tightens it.  You just keep turning it and turning it until the strap is super tight.   And once it’s tight enough that the blood has stopped pooling up in the wound, you lock the level by just popping it between those two little “claw/hook” things.  It’s so easy!

So, what I did was I took one these guys apart.  I’ve got like 20 of them.  And I replaced the strap with this tactical cord that I have spools and spools of.  And instead of just one loops of strap, I made two loops of cord.  One of those loops was the cinch cord for the rope coil around my arms.  The other loop was a cinch cord around my ankle rope.  And the tourniquet itself was secured to the waist belt of my crotch rope, so it wasn’t going anywhere.  Kneeling, as I was, with my hand in the coil that was secured to the shoulder blade carabiner, I couldn’t reach the tourniquet.  It was too low.  Luckily, Tina is a flexible sub.  So, I arched backward, slowly and carefully.  I stretch out my fingers, blindly feeling for the twisting lever, hoping I’d calculated all of the lengths and measurements correctly.  And just as I was reaching the limits of my back arching potential, my fingers on my right hand found their mark.  Hell yes!

Next, I began the slow and tiring task of twisting.  I twisted and twisted, all while looking with my blindfolded eyes straight up at the ceiling to maintain my extreme arch.  Pretty soon I could feel the cord moving along the rope loop coil.  As the tourniquet wound up the cord inside, the cord compressed the coil, cinching it around my arms, tightening it around my wrists.  The tourniquet also took out the slack between my ankles and my waist belt, which would hold my feet up against me in the ball tie position.  All of the needed slack was removed both above and below the tourniquet, and I popped the lever between the two little hooks.  Slowly, I returned from the back arch into an upright kneeling position.  Perfection.  My arms were super snug in a tightly cinched coil of ropes which was secured from below to my waist belt and from above by the shoulder harness.  My arms were held tightly to my sides by the leather straps.  I was blindfolded.  I was in a forced kneel.  But I still had one more critical element to apply.  After all, even though I was currently in an inescapable box tie, all I had to do was bend back down so I could reach the tourniquet, pop the level out of the two claws and it would unwind for the tension and my coil would come apart.  Plus, I wasn’t in a ball tie.  I had to secure my check down to my knees.  And here comes genius innovation number two!

Remember how I mentioned that my collar had an O ring on it?  Well, what I didn’t mention was that I had attached a large carabiner, the size of my hand, between my knees.  Specifically, it was attached to the straps tying my knees together.  The carabiner was about 25% pinched between my knees with the remaining 75% exposed above my legs.  I had rigged the clip on the carabiner with a rubber band to hold the clip open.  And I also secured a zip tie around the rubber band and the knee strap.  That’ll be important in a moment too.  So now I leaned my chest forward, down toward my thighs.  Behind me, my box tied arms were sliding up my back, further and further away from the tourniquet that locked them in place.  Once I was all the way down, I had the kind of humiliating task of blindly attempting to catch the O ring of my collar onto the open end of the carabiner between my knees.  I’d practice this move a few times without being tied up, but I hadn’t done it blindfolded before.  Did I mention you suck voters!

But before long, success!  The ring was hooked onto the carabiner.  My chest was pressing against my thighs.  I wouldn’t have been able to bend down this much without the help of gravity.  One more step to lock myself into the ball tie.  I pulled up with my back.  The collar ring lifted the carabiner the remained 25% of the way out from between my legs.  The zip tie that was around the knee strap and the rubber back pulled the rubber band down off of the clip, and the clip snapped shut, closing the carabiner.  And with the sound of that snap, I could finally relax, and I rolled over onto my side on the mat beneath me.

OK.  Give it up for Tina.  I freaking rocked that rigging job!!

So, this was just amazing.  I was more restrained than I’ve ever been with the possible exception of the suspended hogtie.  This was definitely my tightest ball tie.  I’d say it was also the tightest box tie.  My arms were totally locked up.  I had not an inch of slack there.  I could roll my hands around on the outside of the coil, but they couldn’t reach anything.  They DEFINITELY couldn’t reach the tourniquet which was secured a good 10 or 12 inches below.  I also couldn’t pull my feet down to extend my legs more than a couple of inches.  And my most oppressive bondage element was the constant pulling on the back of my neck from the collar holding my chest down in a fetal position.  I bet I looked quite the scene, of course I couldn’t see because you all suck.

I was pretty darn exhausted y’all.  But I couldn’t just lay there.  This was an escape challenge, after all.  And I began the long, arduous task of rolling and wiggling my way across the room.  This process was much more of a challenge than I’d expected.  I couldn’t extend forward with my upper body very much and I couldn’t push off with my legs from behind.  It felt like when I tried to rock forward two inches, I rocked backward another inch and half.  But the only escape was the scissors, so I didn’t have any choice.  I spent about 90 minutes inch worming my way across the floor.  And in case you were wondering, no, there was no satisfying friction being generated by the crotch strap.  And by the way, if I’d have been using my massage wand, I promise you I’d still be in the exact same spot helplessly drooling with my mind completely shattered by pleasure.  So, thank goodness we didn’t do that!  Right?  Right!

Once I reached the approximate location of the scissors, finding them blindfolded wasn’t as hard as you probably thought it would be.  I basically rolled around and felt the cold, smooth metal on my leg.  I had to do some work to reposition myself so that my hand was close enough to pick them up.  My range of motion with my hands was really, really limited.  I had to stretch pretty hard to get my fingers down to the floor.  But I did it and picked them up.  I found a similar challenge with reaching the ropes with the scissors.  It was really hard to bend my hand back to reach the coils.  I had to keep repositioning my grip on the scissors so I could stretch my fingers enough to reach.  And I had to be super careful because I was messing around with something sharp around my wrists while helpless.  The easiest release would have been to have snipped the cinching cord, but I couldn’t find it with the blades, so I eventually settled for the low hanging fruit and just started sawing away at the coil loops.  After I cut through two of those, I had a lot more range of motion and I was able to cut the cinch cord.  Then I didn’t need the scissors anymore and I was able to just twist and wiggle my arms to gain enough slack to slide my arms out of what was left of the coil.

And that was about that.  It was getting close to midnight, but I cleaned up before going to bed.  I was pretty excited and probably had a bunch of adrenaline in me.  It was really cool to try my first escape challenge.  It was a TON more work than I was expecting, but it totally gave me a new favorite piece of gear.  I need to come up with some interesting way to use it.  Maybe I can find some positions I’ve never been able to rig before.  Hope so.  I’ll let you know.  😊

In the meantime, thanks so much for reaching.  Have an awesome weekend everyone!  Love you!
