Chapter 002: From Beyond the M.I.S.T.
(Part 2)
Location: 120km off the coast of the Venus Islands
Date: 20—, 07/21 / Time: 0335
Due to the necessity of secrecy, MIST moved its operations to the DVA, a specially designed submarine that currently acted as MIST’s base of operations. It has been following under the luxury cruise ship Freedom Survivor, just outside its observation range. The passengers on their way to the Venus Islands were none the wiser to MIST’s evil machinations.
「It’s good to see everyone is here. We can finally move forward with the operations.」
With little concern as to whether or not anyone was paying attention the moment his holographic projection appeared on screen, the director of MIST, Victor Donovan, began speaking. The Venus Islands would soon play host to the DOATEC’s CEO, Helena Douglas. NiCO, Christie, Rig, and Raidou would work together to infiltrate the women-only island resort, worm their way into replacing key guests, and work their way up to kidnapping and replacing Helena herself.
「With our latest weapon, DOATEC will be under our complete control once again. NiCO, would you please reveal our latest weapon to the others?」
「Right… For this operation, you will use specialized skinsuits made using biometric mapping of a subject’s genetic makeup. While that is a gross oversimplification, you can read more about it in the user guide. For now, I will explain their general functions.」
Recently, NiCO felt less motivated around Victor Donovan and his motives. Regardless, the young woman spoke passionately regarding her most recent scientific breakthrough. It incorporated the mimicry technology found in the Phase 4 models, which could replicate a person’s fighting style and skill, but beyond that, it would allow the user to appear, sound, and smell exactly like the person the skinsuit was modeled after. It could even replicate sensations and physical responses such as touch and taste, allowing the user to react and respond in ways similar to the original. Along with the use of nanomachines, it would help its users mimic subtle facial expressions and speech patterns. Allow it to do what it was designed to do, and the user would even find themself standing, sitting, and even gesturing in the same manner as the subject used to make the suit.
「Because of the nano machine’s guidance system, it will attempt to guide you into following the subject’s fighting style and other various habits. This could become a problem if you wish to fight normally. Should it ever become a problem, press the terminal at the base of the neck to disable the system and tap twice to reengage it.」
「Ho~ Sounds like fun. So, who are Christie and NiCO disguising themselves as?」
「Huh? We’re not the ones going undercover.」
NiCO looked over at Rig in confusion while Rig’s jaw dropped.

「Damn it, do we have to put these on now?! Couldn’t it wait until after we snuck onto the island?」
「Will you stop complaining? And finish putting that mask on. It’s weird seeing your ugly mug on a woman’s body.」
NiCO was growing tired of Rig’s grumbling, and with no one left to grumble to, he slid the life-like face over his own. His square jaw and masculine features softened and shrunk, as did the rest of his body when he donned the skinsuit earlier. His new form was 6 inches shorter and felt 80 pounds lighter. He wasn’t sure how NiCO’s new toys could manipulate mass but decided since it wasn’t explained to him, he didn’t need to know.「I still… I still can’t believe we’re doing this…」Rig was caught off guard by his different voice. And while his hair hadn’t become long, having any hair was a big difference compared to his shaved head.
「So, why couldn’t this wait until we snuck onto the island?」
「Seriously, quit your bellyaching. Firstly, you’re just prolonging things. Secondly, the Venus Islands have an uncanny monitoring system that detects any men entering even the minor islands surrounding the Island of Venus. Thirdly, we need to get you two back into the rooms of our subjects before the crew or any of their friends wake up to check on them.」
「Come on, Raidou, don’t you have anything to say about this?!」
「Heehee, don’t be like that. We gotta act like a couple of gal pals if we’re going to pull this off, ‘kay?」
「I hate you. I hate all of you.」
Seeing NiCO wasn’t in the mood to placate Rig’s tantrum and Raidou decided he wasn’t going to help, Christie snaked her way around Rig’s now small, delicate shoulder and whispered into his ear,「Alright, that’s enough, Rig.」Rig froze, and a girly blush fluttered across the light complexion of his feminine face. Something he could once easily hide behind his darker complexion behind the mask.
Rig and Raidou finished disguising themselves and dressed in their captives' clothes when they spirited them off the cruise ship late last evening. When they kidnapped the two girls earlier, Rig couldn’t have imagined this would be the result. NiCO continued to monitor the two through her glasses, acting like a HUD, streaming information regarding the skinsuit’s user and the skinsuit itself. She was confident; as soon as the DVA finished its accent and the two men made women successfully board the ship, their victory was assured.
Intermission: Raidou & Rig
νRiadou - The Regeneration of Brutality
Raidou was born as the eldest son of the main family of the Mugen Tenshin clan. He quickly mastered the family’s martial art, but his violent ambition and disregard for the clan’s principles would lead to his younger brother becoming heir apparent. Raidou would leave the village to perfect his art of murder around the world. He returned to the village on two occasions. The first was to rape his younger brother’s wife to spite his sibling. The second time was after his nephew learned the clan’s secret ultimate technique. He tricked his nephew into teaching it to him, then left his nephew for dead.
