Hailey laughed at Jason’s miserable appearance. This was the seventh time within the last month that a girl had dumped him, leaving him in such a sorry state.

Jason had known Hailey since childhood. He would often confide in her a great many things. At first, she was sympathetic regarding Jason’s love life. Being the first girl to break up with him, his continuous strikeouts have gotten to the point where she found it more funny than sad. At this rate, he may never be able to find a wife.

“But none of that matters if I can’t even get one night with a girl.” The words poured from his mouth as he sulked.

“Seriously, how does anyone get so unlucky? I didn’t even realize there were this many lesbians in this city. I’ll have to take you with me next time I’m at a bar so you can point them all out to me.”

This was the true crux of Jason’s curse. Every girl he had ever asked out had declared herself either a lesbian or simply uninterested in Jason’s more masculine identity.

“Ugh! At this point, forget finding someone to spend my life with. I just want a girl who’d at least spend the night with me!” Jason declared to the heavens.

“Ya’know, if you want to punch your V-card, I might know someone who can help,” Hailey said in her trademark singsong voice—a voice she used almost exclusively to pitch a plan to Jason.

His ears perked at the promise, but her plans always came with a catch. An aspect she would only tell him at the very end. How many times had he been lulled by the voice any other man would fall for, only to now feel such deep trauma every time he heard it?

“It’s a little roundabout, but I have a friend from school who might be really interested in you—enough for you to walk her home, at least. They’ve been looking for the right one, and with a little cleaning up, I think that might just be you.”

Jason hesitated for a moment. There was a catch. There was always a catch. “And your friend… she’s not a radicalist? A slob? Lesbian?”

“I promise you; she’s just your type. So why not give it a shot, or should I tell her you're not interested? It would be a shame ‘cause I’ve already been kind of talking you up,” she said with a cheeky smile.

Jason’s hesitation almost turned to panic at the thought of Hailey playing wingman. What kind of things would she have said about him? But at the same time, what did he have to lose? In a single month, he’d asked out seven girls, and across those seven girls, each one dumped him on the first date.

With a deep breath and a heavy sigh, he steeled his resolve. “Alright, I’ll do it….”

“Great! I’ll send you the details once I’ve talked it over—oh, and keep your Friday open. You’ll need the whole day to get ready, and if it’s going to work, there is a certain fashion shop we’ll need to hit up first.”

She cheerfully pulled out her phone and started typing before looking back up at him with a playfulness that sent shivers down his spine. “And remember, no matter what happens, you wanted this.”

***

Jason followed Hailey’s instructions before Friday finally came. Researching characters and cosplay, rewatching anime, and replaying—albeit briefly—some of his favorite video games were a few such instructions.

Yet one of the stranger demands was to shave all of his body hair the night before. The sensation he felt on his skin sent tingles across his body every time his clothes brushed against his arms or legs.

Even as the cold morning dew freshly settled onto the many different flora that dotted the city, the air felt so different that he could not help but think how nice it felt.

Autumn was here, and just like the flora, specks of dew had started to build upon the many storefront windows lining the road. One such window identified its store as Ragazzi possono essere Ragazze. Typically shortened to Ragz, the store specializes in custom fits and attire.

Aside from the store’s name, a Closed sign sat in the corner of the window. Jason took a look past the lettering to see if anyone was inside.

The store was filled with mannequins dressed in cosplay and clothing racks lining the tiny shop in rows. Jason recognized the outfits, many due to the review he’d done beforehand. Most were video game characters, followed by outfits designed after various shounen anime.

Aside from the life-size dolls and standing signs, there wasn’t a worker in sight.

Jason checked his phone again to make sure he wasn’t early, only to find a text message from Hailey telling him just to go inside.

So the text message says, yet our protagonist could not help but feel things were becoming sketchier by the second, Jason thought to himself.

Finding nothing else for it, he pulled at the door handle.

He wasn’t sure if it was the fog or a cold sweat he felt when he pulled on the door, but it was unlocked, and he took his first steps into the lion’s den. “Hello?” he announced, but there was not hide nor hair of any individual behind the counter or otherwise. “Hello?” he called out again. “I’m Jason, Hailey’s friend. I was told to show up here before the shop opened….”

Still quiet… and as Jason thought more about the surrounding dolls dressed to look like people, he was starting to prefer their company over someone jumping out on him.

Looking around, he spied another counter toward the back of the store. He walked past the mannequins and stuffed clothing racks. As he did, he noticed how the boob bags for many of the bustier characters had been filled on the mannequins, making them look just as endowed as the characters they were meant to portray.

Stranger than that was probably the section labeled ‘Men.’ While he recognized many of the outfits and the shonen and video game protagonists they belonged to, they had all been redesigned for girls.

Pants were replaced by skirts, stockings, and shorts. Jackets and blazers were customized to have space for what looked like exceptionally well-endowed women. Wigs for the characters had been styled to look like their hair but had been made longer.

A cold shiver ran down Jason’s back. By the time he reached the back counter, he was putting together what Hailey had planned for him. There wasn’t a single scrap of male clothing in this store.

Beyond the back counter was a doorframe with a curtain that concealed whatever lay beyond.

He stared at the bell on the counter and, in its reflection, became more aware of the frills and dresses surrounding him, framing the look of unease on his face.

……

………

He thought about running—no, escaping. He needed to get out of here as fast as he could, but his legs wouldn’t move. His mind swirled as it went to war with itself.

This might be his only chance—his only chance to go on a proper date. His only chance to know the sweet embrace of a woman. His only chance to finally have sex!

But at what cost?

His legs were ready to turn and run while his hand trembled over the bell that would awaken whatever creature slumbered beyond the curtains leading into the back room.

Jason took a deep breath to steel his nerves. He forced himself to remember what was at stake. This might be his only chance to meet a girl who will actually go on a date and, god willing, have sex with him!

He took a deep breath and, with all his willpower, rang the bell. No sooner did the bell’s chime reverberate through the store than Jason heard the sound of heels making their way toward him from the back room.

His sister once told him that a symbol of a woman's power was the sound her heels could make.

The person who threw open the curtain was tall, even without her heels. Her body was slender with a chocolate-colored skin tone, and she had an intense icy blue glare only highlighted by her red-framed glasses. She wore office attire: nylon stockings that met a pencil skirt and a blazer that emphasized her bust.

Jason couldn’t believe the power of her mommy vibes. It wasn’t long until his stare went from her intense gaze and slowly crawled down to the white top she wore under her blazer. The top buttons had been undone to show off the frills of the black bra she was wearing underneath.

She still yet stands beyond the doorway! Flee child! Flee! His mind screamed.

The woman looked down at Jason. With her heels, she was tall enough that her cleavage was at eye level with the young man. The corner of her painted lips curled into a smirk as she noticed where Jason was looking. “Do you see something you like?” the mysterious woman asked in a deep and sultry voice.

“Ah—oh, s-sorry. I didn’t mean to stare. The nerves, ya’know,” Jason rambled.

“Don’t worry, I—Ahia!” The mysterious woman stepped forward and knocked her forehead into the door. She tried to catch herself as she recoiled back, but her heels threw her off balance. Falling backward, she only had her ample and soft derriere to catch her fall.

Jason held in his laughter. All the pressure and worry he was feeling up to this point vanished. He couldn’t believe the creature he was so scared of fell so far on her gorgeous ass that he could see her black lace panties.

She rubbed her forehead and cried under her breath, “Ow….” Noticing that Jason was holding his side—and laughter—she pouted at him. “Are you just going to keep laughing at me? I could use some help up.”

“Sorry. I was feeling so nervous that it kind of broke the tension.” Jason made his way around the counter and helped her off the ground. “My name is Jason, by the way.”

“I know. I planned to see you squirm after Hailey made that unreasonable request.”

Jason decided to let the prank go. Sympathizing with her, he didn’t want to upset someone who had only been caught up in another one of Hailey’s schemes.

Once standing again, she straightened out her skirt and glared at him again. This time, the glare was less ice-cold and more warm-tempered. “My name is Matthew. I run this shop.”

“Your name is Matthew?” Jason asked, confused over the mismatched name of the beautiful woman before him.

Matthew rolled her eyes and parted the hair behind her neck, revealing a small seam on the nape of her neck. She slid her delicate fingers into the seam and pulled her head off, revealing a young man with freckles and red hair.

“I take it you understand what’s going on now?”

Jason stood in a daze, unable to believe what he saw. The person with a body that would put any other woman to shame belonged to a guy. This was Hailey’s plan? She wants me to crossdress for a lesbian?!

He thought he managed to sidestep his childhood friend’s prank when Matthew quickly went from dommy to klutz, but now he was in too deep. Would this truly be the only way he would find a woman to spend the night with?

“Come on, Hailey’s already waiting inside.” Without giving him a second to ponder, Matthew returned to the back room, and his swaying hips instructed Jason to follow.

Beyond the curtained door frame, Jason could finally see the den of the beast. The den that Hailey had settled herself into, sitting on a platform in the middle of the room surrounded by mannequin stands, shelves, and racks that all played host to many life-like bodysuits of different proportions, skin tones, and features.

Different chests were displayed, realistic to every bump on the areola and girdles of different hip and butt size combinations, each also anatomically correct with different shapes and colors.

Jason brought a hand to his face and groaned under his breath, “What have I gotten myself into?”

***

Jason held up the full bodysuit by its shoulders. He didn’t have the most feminine physique, so Hailey and Matthew added extra padding to the hips and boobs to balance him out. He could feel the sheer weight of the silicone gel that filled the breasts hanging from its chest.

How did I get myself into this? Jason thought to himself as he turned the suit around and pulled the zipper down to the base of the spine, ending just above the padded and rounded butt.

Following Hailey’s instructions to shave and apply baby powder beforehand proved more helpful than he wanted to admit. As he slid his foot into the suit and aligned his leg with the leg of the suit, he could feel the silicone rubbing against his bare skin.

The air pushed out of the sleeve, and the smooth silicone clung to his leg, wanting to pull its own way when he moved it. He struggled to get both legs in. Even though the hips were padded, the suit had been reinforced with body-shaping bands to narrow his legs and slowly tighten around him.

Soon, the pelvis pushed up against his, and he finally reached the part he had dreaded the most. Even though he could feel his heart racing and his dick stiffening against the silicone, he still couldn’t believe what he was doing.

Inside the suit was a pouch to slide his dick into. The vagina of the suit was well crafted, and the suit itself had been made specifically for Jason’s body. He slid his dick into the pouch, a task made easier by how hard he already was.

Jason was already feeling worn out after only coming so far. He slumped down onto the changing room bench. After setting the rest of the suit down next to him, he quickly noticed how comfortable he felt sitting. His well-crafted ass was for more than bouncing quarters. Its soft padding meant he would never worry about sitting on a hard surface again! Or, at least until he took the suit off.

The mirror across from him reflected his new veneer back at him, albeit incomplete. That’s when he glimpsed at his new womanly fold—his pussy… his pussy looked so real. It surprised him even though he knew what it was—a silicone disguise, a fake. But that didn’t stop him from pressing his finger against the exposed clit.

His erection pushed against the suit from the inside, exposing his clit that would normally be hidden. He wasn’t sure what he expected when he touched it with his finger. The thought of having a clit aroused him more than the physical touch itself, but pressing his finger against it, he could feel it pushing against the head of his dick.

Hesitantly, he pushed his fingers into his female folds. He could feel his fingers inside him, rubbing against himself. The inner walls of his vagina ran along the length of his dick. If something were to be pushed inside him, he could feel it.

He shook the thoughts out of his head. What am I even doing? He thought.  I’m supposed to be getting ready for my date…. No doubt that Hailey is laughing to herself….

It couldn’t be overstated how difficult it was to pull the suit on. It wasn’t enough to pull it over himself like a shirt. Jason had to carefully inch his arm through the suit’s arm sleeve, pulling at it with his other hand while supporting the weight of the breasts in his arms. Their silicone-filled H-cups were an all too constant reminder of gravity’s oppressive force. Even after he finished getting both arms in and aligning the shoulders to his, the heavy silicone gel wanted to tug the suit from his body.

How am I even supposed to deal with this? Jason still needed to zip the suit up, but that was proving more difficult with his tits tugging the neck out of place.

Hailey had left him a cord with a hook attached to it. He understood what it was for. He had seen his sister and mother use them to zip the backs of their dresses without needing someone to do it for them, but he doubted they ever had to deal with their boobs wanting to fall off.

Not wanting to give up, Jason turned to face the bench and got on his knees, resting his tits on the bench while he pulled the zipper up. He was glad that he could get the zipper on his own. But that still didn’t do much for the weight.

The mounds of prosthetic flesh tugged at him, pulling from his chest against his shoulders and back. But as Jason aligned the suit with his body and adjusted his new hip-to-tits balance, his discomfort was replaced by something else. He didn’t hate it. He wasn’t sure if the feeling was arousal like he felt earlier, but looking at himself in the mirror, he felt strong—proud of his appearance, like he could get anything he wanted.

A figure that other girls envied and hard nipples made any other guy wish they could be with him—if not wishing they could look like him, wearing a suit like he was.

Is this what Hailey’s friend was into? Girls like… me?

Jason cupped his breasts to feel their weight in his hands. The pink flesh tone of his large, perky nipples poked between his fingers. He caught another glimpse at the woman in the mirror—the woman who mimicked his every movement—the woman fondling herself in front of him. That woman was him. Jason did his best to avoid looking at his face as he posed and groped himself in the mirror.

His fingers sank into his breasts as he squeezed them, and they spilled from his hands as he cupped them. The feeling in his hands—how they felt so real that it was becoming more unbelievable the longer he watched himself.

Jason was falling in love. He could feel his dick strain against the inside of the suit. It was almost painful that all he could do was rub his hand against the surface of the suit’s lower abdomen. He needed something more. Something to push deeper than his finger could—to fill his pussy.

Jason shook the thoughts from his head, and he regained his composure. The feelings of excitement and lust no longer blurred his vision as he focused on the date he was meant to be preparing for. The suiting was finally complete, and he donned the simple t-shirt and jeans he walked in with before stepping out of the changing room. His new assets pushed against his shirt and the seams of his pants, testing their limits.

“I have it on… now what?”

Hailey shrugged with a bit of disappointment. “Man, I hoped you’d walk out wearing just the suit.”

Matthew waved their mutual friend’s perversions away. “Come over here. We’ll fit you into a mask and get your makeup right before putting the wig on.”

Matthew had completely changed out of his suit and was wearing a breastplate under casual clothes. His body looked slender and lithe, so even as he was, no one would immediately assume he was a guy wearing a silicone breastplate.

Matthew sat Jason down at a vanity, handing him a hair net and mask with a matching complexion to the rest of the bodysuit. It didn’t have a zipper like the suit; rather, the neck on the mask was meant to conceal the zipper and blend in naturally with the suit.

The mask required the most work to get right. Matthew had to help Jason align the nose and eyes before they could start on the makeup. It certainly wasn’t easy, and Jason was becoming less confident that he would have been able to do it himself.

“Don’t worry. It becomes easier the more you get used to it,” Matthew said in a flat, dry tone.

The first layer of makeup was to blend the seams and to make the eyes, wrists, and ankles look natural before applying makeup to touch up his face, giving it a more feminine look.

The blonde wig finished off the look. It had side-swept bangs with a tiara that held it in place. Jason recognized the character they were modeling his new appearance after.

“You made me look like Mythra?” he asked. Embarrassingly, he recognized her from Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, as he'd yet to play any of the Xeno-series titles. Considering the nature of the shop, it was starting to make sense. Regardless, “Please tell me you have a better answer than because waifu.”

“Rachelle said she’s always dreamed of going on a cosplay date. What better way to appeal to her than going as a cosplay pair from her most recent favorite game,” Hailey answered. “I tried to tell her to play it in order since they are all on Switch anyway. Now she’s playing them backward.”

“Won't she feel disappointed when she realizes I haven’t played Xenoblade? I feel like a fake fan over here.” About as fake as these tits and the Mythra I appear to be. Convincing, but a lie nonetheless.

“Nah, it’s fine. She’s only just got past the amphitheater. Anyway, it’s time we got you dressed in what you’ll be wearing for your date.” Hailey shoved a folded set of clothes into Jason’s hands, along with a small purse for him to keep his things, and it was back to the changing room.

Jason carefully removed his clothes and began to don what he thought would be Mythra’s costume from her game, but it turned out to be normal clothes. Simply put, it was a white backless sweater over a black opaque sleeveless body stocking. Stylish arm gloves, a pair of custom shoes, and a thigh garter completed the look. It looked similar to what she wore, minus the armor, but normal nonetheless. He wasn’t sure if he should feel relieved or disappointed, but it was probably for the best.

Jason looked himself up and down in the mirror. The clothes covered up parts of the suit that couldn’t be hidden by makeup, and if he didn’t know any better, he would think that the person in the mirror was a genuine Mythra cosplayer.

“Is this it? I feel exposed.” The sweater was short, and Jason wasn’t used to not wearing pants. There was also the lack of a bra. Jason’s erotic nipples were more than noticeable through the sweater’s fabric.

“Don’t worry about it. I’m sure you’ll be turning the heads of kigurumi fans everywhere. If not simply arousing anyone else who decides to do a double take.” It was Matthew who brushed off his concerns this time.

“There isn’t a lot of time left, anyway. Getting you into costume is just step one. Now the real training begins.”

… Training…?

***

Jason tittered as he sashayed across the catwalk for the umpteenth time. He felt like a fool as Hailey and Matthew judged his walk until it was perfect. He felt self-conscious with every step he took, with either telling him to tone up his hip sway or to make his stride shorter.

He needed to somehow capture Mythra’s confidence while remembering how to walk so that his sweater would stop riding up his wide hips and showing off his gropable ass cheeks.

“It’s not enough to walk. We need to hear you talk.”

“What do I even say?”

“Anything, really. But why don’t you just say things that Mythra says? Try to get her personality and voice down.”

Jason started reciting Mythra’s attacks and skills, “Foresight! … Ray of Punishment?” Jason tried to think of a line. Anything he could say that wasn’t just the name of an attack or ability from her character in Smash Ultimate. “I don’t think this is going to work. I haven’t even played Xenoblade.”

“Did you do any of that research I told you to?! I even sent you a bunch of YouTube videos on her VA and a video of every scene that has her!”

“You sent me literally hundreds of videos of hundreds of different characters! Besides, I actually plan on playing that game someday. I’m not just going to ruin that story for myself because you told me to.”

“That aside,” Matthew interjected, “your voice is a terrible match.”

“Well, there isn’t much I can do about that now?”

“Would you like to sound like her?” Hailey cut in ominously.

Matthew gave her a rather worried look, but Jason was already in so deep. How could he back down?

“What do I need to do?”

Matthew pulled out a couple of pages and a small spray bottle. “Sign this and spray this into your throat.”

“This isn’t going to kill me, is it?” Jason slowly reached for the paperwork. His glove-clad hand trampled as he reached for the devil’s pact.

Matthew rolled his eyes. “Are you allergic to anything? If not, then at worst, you’ll get a sore throat. Otherwise, it’s just a mixture of gases and other things.”

“A voice-changing spray? I didn’t think something like this was real.”

“They might as well not be. I’ve gotten the patent approved, but the FDA still hasn’t signed off on it as I don’t have a large enough sample group. And as it stands, the people I have tried it with have had wildly different effects.”

Jason nervously held the spray bottle. He wasn’t expecting such an honest and lengthy answer. “This won't have any long-term or permanent damage, will it?”

Matthew pinched at the bridge of his nose. “Either sign the paperwork and use it or don’t.”

The spray was minty and cool, not the sinister concoction Jason had built in his mind. “Is it work—” Jason started to say before quickly reaching for his throat. His voice sounded incredibly foreign—completely different from when he would speak in his head. “Does… this… sound…” Jason kept pausing after each word.

Matthew rolled his eyes as he assured Jason he sounded fine. “I guess this will be a decent enough trial run. Maybe I can actually submit this to the FDA.”

Jason acquiesced, and the training continued. After several hours of painstaking practice and hard work, Hailey and Matthew were eventually satisfied that Jason… wouldn’t make a fool of himself or come off as someone pretending.

Jason himself only wished he had more time to mentally prepare before Hailey kicked him out of her car and in front of the mall.

***

Jason felt as if everyone was looking at him as he walked down the concourse toward the Round One entrance, where he was told to meet his date, Rachelle.

Every so often, he would catch someone glimpsing him. Every pair of eyes felt like someone scrutinizing his authenticity as the woman he appeared to be. He continued telling himself that it was because, right now, he was an attractive woman. But a strong part of him couldn’t help but worry that someone would shout, calling him out as a perverted crossdresser.

Am I walking correctly? Did my sweater ride up? Did any of my makeup wipe off, or the seams come loose? These thoughts consumed Jason as he continued to make his way to the arcade.

In reality, it was the lack of boob support as his tits freely bounced with each step he took—enthralling every warm-blooded adult, male, female, or otherwise, that passed by.

“Mythra, over here!”

Jason did his best to hide his surprise and fear. Something the mask helped with as it maintained the appearance of Mythra’s ever-stoic resting bitchface. He slowly looked to see who was calling him, only to see another fear manifest itself into reality. The person calling out to him looked stunningly like Pyra. He was told that Rachelle was an avid cosplayer, but seeing her made any confidence he built up to this point evaporate.

The Pyra calling out to him was dressed in a gray overall minidress over a red long-sleeve sweater. The minidress had an open chest with a ribbon along either side that tightened the minidress around her waist, while the open chest cut and shoulder straps framed her chest perfectly.

From there, the red, long-sleeved sweater came out to fingerless gloves, and she wore similar opaque stockings and custom shoes to match the color of the rest of her attire.

She was more than just looking the part of Pyra and beyond being Jason’s type. She was the embodiment of an angel bearing the hopes and dreams of all men as they bounced in cadence with each excited step she took as she approached him. All Jason could do was nervously wave his hand while doing his best to remain calm.

“You look amazing,” she cheered. “I can’t believe Hailey’s been hiding you from me this whole time.”

“Thanks,” Jason meeked out. “I don’t think I pull any of this off as well as you do. This is kind of my first time…”

She was shorter than Jason by a few inches, and as he studied her face, he became increasingly more self-conscious about his appearance. Pyra and Mythra were essentially twins, with one having short red hair and the other having long blonde hair.

A real girl like the person before him had a much softer face than his own. And the round shape and her more delicate features—Jason could help but become lost in how lucky he was to even stand next to such an attractive person. But for the first time, something tugged at him. He felt a different kind of self-consciousness, envious that he couldn’t pull it off as well as the girl before him could.

But the girl before him couldn’t stop grinning as she studied Jason.

“I-is something wrong?” He felt like he was losing ground.

“You say it’s your first time, but you certainly don’t look like an amateur.” She circled him like a buzzard would an enticing slab of meat. As she completed her circle around him, she lost out to the fit of giggles she was holding back. “Ahaha, sorry if I’m making you nervous. I’m just happy to have the chance to hang out with another cosplayer. You sound great, by the way. Is that your normal voice, or have you been practicing your Skye Bennett voice?”

Jason couldn’t get over how he still sounded himself in his head, completely disconnected from the voice he spoke with. Matthew and Hailey assured him that the spray was working, but it wasn’t until Rachelle finally said something that he finally felt the tiny bits of worry fade away.

He placed his delicate-looking fingers against his throat and made a nervous chuckle. “Thanks. Hailey forced me to practice the character before our date.”

“Oh, that’s right. Mind if I get a picture with you?” Her beaming smile and excitement were starting to feel infectious.

“Sure, I don’t—”

Like being wrapped up in a whirlwind, she wrapped her arms around his and pulled him against her. As their arms locked, he could feel her boobs press against his arm and push against his equally sizable, gel-filled prosthetics.

As he was caught off guard, the picture was taken before he could even smile, leaving the face of an energetic angel smiling next to her cool, if not awkwardly bitchy twin sister.

“So what do you want to do first?” she asked, not missing a beat.

“Well—ah, hold on, I don’t think we’ve introduced ourselves yet.” All the girls Jason had dated up to this point had always been dismissive of him. Her enthusiasm had taken him so off guard they both forgot to introduce themselves.

“Haha! Right, I forgot. I was so ready to just call you Mythra that I almost didn’t think of you as anyone else.” She let out a bit of a laugh to lighten her lapse in manners.

“My name is Rachelle, but I also go by Riri online. And because I cosplay a lot, I’ve gotten used to being called by whatever character I’m dressed as. Feel free to call me by whichever you prefer.”

Riri? Where have I heard that name before? Jason recalled Hailey mentioning her friends before. He didn’t recall anyone named Rachelle, but Riri did sound familiar.

“R-right… Rachelle,” Rachelle leaned in and pouted at him while making a sound reminiscent of choosing the wrong tea time option in Fire Emblem Three Houses… “Py…” her face became deadpanned. “Riri?” She returned to smiling.

Jason wanted to sigh, already exhausted from the long day he’d been having. “My name’s Ja—Jessie… I don’t do much online, so I don’t have anything like a nickname.”

“Well, is it alright if I call you J-chi? It’ll probably be better that way if someone decides to stalk two beautiful girls.” Not wanting to wait any longer, Riri pulled J-chi into the arcade.

Jason was again thankful that the mask hid his blushing face. Otherwise, he might die from anyone knowing how embarrassed he was.

Is it really okay for me to go on a date like this when I’m lying to her?

***

Rachelle couldn’t believe the chance Hailey had given her. To meet someone as amazing as Jessie was a blessing to her. You would think that being a cosplayer like herself, finding a girlfriend would be easy, like some smutty rom-com where she got drunk at a cosplay meet with some of the other girls she knew on Twitter. Alas, reality didn’t make anything near as easy or as fun.

Time, work, patience.

The thought that she could be sitting across from someone as beautiful as Jessie had always been a dream of hers, but that the girl sitting across from her was also willing to cosplay—that she could talk about anime and video games beyond the memes and surface-level observations. And to not just be able to talk about video games but keep up with her at an arcade.

It scared Rachelle, but she could feel herself falling in love.

The two beautiful cosplayers sat down to rest their legs with their spoils of war and other prizes from the UFO machines arranged like a ziggurat at the end of their table.

Rachelle loved how competitive Jessie was. She was still teasing Jessie over how her two left feet cost her the final series of games to decide their tiebreaker.

After Jessie tripped over herself, she shuffled off the dance pad, and Rachelle took over both pads to freestyle the remaining songs and not let the credits they spent go to waste.

For Jason, the full-body silicone suit tugged against him whenever he tried to quickly or suddenly move. In the end, as he tried to cross a leg from one side of the pad to the other, he felt as if he lost everything.

“Cheer up, J-chi, don’t look so glum.”

“How can I not be? It’s one thing to lose. It’s another thing to be utterly defeated,” Jessie said before pouting into her burger while Rachelle couldn’t help but gleam at her. “And you keep teasing me about it, too.”

“Haha, sorry. It’s just you look so much like Mythra, even that pouty tsundere look you have.” Rachelle snapped a quick picture of Jessie while she grumbled into her burger.

As Rachelle and Jessie finished their meal, they continued chatting as their legs and stamina recovered. Rachelle loved how Jessie would become flustered despite the haughty air she had about her. Rachelle maintained a smugness earned in the crucible of arcade combat, all while teasing her date. “Hailey told me you were super serious, but you’re actually really cute, ya’know.”

Rachelle couldn’t see it on Jessie's face, but unbeknownst to her, Jason underneath was screaming. Hailey told me Mythra was super proud or something, so why does Riri only point out how Mythra I am when she’s teasing me?! But he didn’t hate it. Not that he would ever admit it. Jason loved how energetic she was. Too many girls he tried dating didn’t like this sort of thing: arcades, anime, figurines, cosplay—the girls who were interested in such things turned out to either be lesbians or not interested in masculine men.

Rachelle noticed the time as she snapped another picture of the beautiful Mythra before her. “It’s getting pretty late, what did you—”

“Hey, are you Riri-chan? I’ve seen your cosplay on Twitter,” a young man waving with his cell phone in hand interrupted, cutting into her and Jessie's conversation. “Would it be alright if we got a picture together?” Almost as if on cue, a group of his friends stood behind him, finding a barstool to sit on or something to lean up against.

“No, sorry. Normally, I would, but I’m a little busy right now.”

“Don’t be like that. It won't take too long. If you’re worried about leaving your friend out, she can be in the picture, too.” The young man was persistent, but Rachelle ignored him and started gathering her things as Jessie helped her move the ziggurat to their bags. The young man was becoming visibly upset.

“What the hell? You think you get to act like a bitch because you got some followers on Twitter? Bet you do nudes on the side, so you don’t have to work like the rest of us.”

“Come on, J-chi. Let’s get out of here.”

“J-chi? That’s super cringe,” one of his friends chimed in as Rachelle and Jessie tried to take their leave. The peanut gallery laughed at the comment as the two cosplayers tried to ignore them.

Rachelle was becoming flustered. “I’ll be cosplaying at Oni-Con soon. You can take pictures at the cosplayer event they’re hosting.” She did her best to keep a smile but was becoming more shaken as the young man glared at her.

“Seriously? It’s just one picture!” The young man held up his phone and started recording. “Whatever. I’m sure I’ll get a bunch of followers if I can make you cry, too.”

Rachelle was worried about this. Cosplaying always drew a lot of attention, and too many people who followed her only did so for one reason. She was an attractive girl with large tits. She wanted to cry, to wish it all away. I was having such a good day with Jessie… She’ll never want a second date if this is something she’d have to deal with…

A loud slam shook Rachelle out of her thoughts, surprising her and pulling everyone’s attention toward Jessie. “What the hell is actually wrong with you?” Earlier, as Rachelle did her best to stand against the young man, none of his friends inched any closer. Every time they did, they were met with a hostile glare from Jessie.

“Who the hell are you? I don’t think I’ve seen you before?”

“I’m her girlfriend. Got a problem with that?”

“Riri hasn’t posted anything about that on her Twitter. She posted just last week ‘single for life,’ so there’s no point in lying.”

“Wow, guys like you are super annoying.”

“Why are you being such a bitch? You think ‘cuz you say you’re dating Riri, you get to act all high and mighty? Bet you’re just another bitch who wants to be popular.”

The look of irritation was apparent on Jessie’s face. “Y'know what…” Jessie snatched the phone out of the young man’s hands. “Did you come here because you wanted a picture, or was it your goal to harass us from the start?” Jessie glared down at each of his friends as they hid drinks and other messy foods from sight.

“Hey, you damn thief! Give my phone back!”

As the young man tried to reach for his phone, he watched helplessly as Jessie skied it across the floor, sliding it under one of the arcade cabinets. He took a step as if he had some way of getting his phone out from under the heavy cabinet but quickly turned back to face Jessie and Rachelle, only to find the two girls fleeing the scene.

Jessie watched as the young man ran past the karaoke room Rachelle and she had ducked into. Satisfied he wouldn’t find them, she checked again to make sure the door was locked and closed the blinds before turning the light on.

“Yes… thank you. How many hours?” Rachelle spoke with the front desk as composed as she could manage. She looked over at Jessie, hoping that her knight in shining armor would help give her an answer. Jessie simply smiled and held up two fingers. “Two hours, please. And thanks again, sorry for doing this backward.”

She hung up the phone and fell back on the sofa. They had taken off so quickly that she was ready to pass out. “You’re really athletic, J-chi.”

Jessie chuckled at what she hoped was a compliment. “I used to run track and field back in high school. Nothing competitive, mostly just to stay in shape.”

“I was just surprised. I thought you were a nerd like me.”

“Hey, now, that’s gatekeeping. Some of the most famous athletes in the world are nerds and otaku. Anime is quite popular these days.”

Jessie finished setting up the karaoke system and connecting it to the app on her phone before plopping down onto the cushioned sofa next to Rachelle. Rachelle couldn't help but fidget with Jessie sitting so close. As Jessie scrolled through the song list, she remained oblivious to Rachelle’s feelings that were bubbling to the surface.

This wasn’t the first time someone had approached her out of the blue, but she had stayed off social media the last couple of days and kept her regular content rolling so no one would know what she was up to or that she was up to anything at all.

“Did you want to choose some songs?”

“Huh? Oh, sure.” Jessie handed her the tablet, and she stared absentmindedly into it. Many people had tried to use her in the past. Guys and girls had tried to date her just to use her as some sort of social trophy. Hailey assured her that her friend didn’t use social media or care about trends and popularity. But it still made her uncomfortable. She put on a brave face and thought to take the lead on the date. She didn’t want to be used again.

“Day and night to morning, keep with me in the moment…” Jessie’s singing brought Rachelle out of her thoughts. It was fun for her to tease her new friend over the things she was better at, but now she was watching her shine in ways she couldn’t.

“Man, I was hoping an arcade would have more than a bunch of normie songs.” An hour into singing, the two were running out of songs they actually enjoyed or wanted to sing.

Jason looked up at the clock and noticed that they still had a good deal of time left. “I know it was a little impromptu, but I’ll keep that in mind for the future. I did want to try out karaoke just to see how my voice sounded. I was a little worried you wouldn’t like it.”

“Your singing is amazing, and your voice sounds great. You don’t need to be worried about anything like that. You’re easily a ten out of ten among the girls I've dated.”

Jason felt his guilt creeping up again. Am I just going to bed this girl and then move on? He wanted to laugh and quip, asking ‘where do I rank among the guys?’ But he hesitated—missed the timing and remained quiet.

“I’m sorry, again… for what happened earlier.” Rachelle suddenly spoke, taking Jason aback. “Hailey told me you wouldn’t make a big deal about me being some high-profile cosplayer, but I didn’t think something like this would happen.”

“Oh, that. It’s not a big deal.” Jason said, brushing her worries aside. It was true. Things like that didn’t bother him too much. It wasn’t such a rare occurrence for him to stand up for himself back in high school, and he didn’t use social media outside of his friends and family wanting to chat with him, so he wasn’t too worried about being attacked from that angle either.

Rachelle nudged closer to him—her soft hips were now pushed against his padded ones. “Uh, Riri?” Illuminated by the light of the karaoke screen, Jason caught a glimpse of Rachelle’s blushing face. She scooted closer still, brushing her shoulder against his silicone-covered one. Jason could only cry out from within as the millimeters of faux skin blocked their bodies from actually touching.

“Your face is so hard to read sometimes.” Rachelle turned to look at him properly. Her eyes locked with his.

“Sorry about that…” Jason’s heart was racing, pounding against his chest and threatening to take its own life. He started to think that there was no way she couldn’t hear it as loudly as he could.

Rachelle placed her hand into his, lacing their fingers together. “What you said… about how you’re my girlfriend… Do you… Do you want to make it official?”

Her face drew closer to his, and he could feel her breath on his lips—fake, painted lips that weren’t even really his.

Jason pulled back. “I’m sorry, Riri… Rachelle.”

Rachelle recoiled with a look of rejection. “No… I guess I was just—I’m such an idiot.”

Rachelle tried to pull her hand away from Jason’s, but he didn’t let go. “No, you’re not an idiot, Riri. It’s just… I’ve been lying to you… My name isn’t Jessie, and this isn’t what I normally look like. I wish I could be your girlfriend, but I’m not even a girl…”

“Puph…” Rachelle did her best to hold in her laughter.

Whatever tension and worry that was building inside Jason evaporated in moments, replaced with confusion and a sinking feeling he was a little too familiar with. His eyes became wide, a cute look on his masked face. “Wait… Ugh… don’t tell me I feel for one of Hailey’s stupid pranks.”

“What—haha—no, it’s just…” Rachelle did her best to calm herself down. She leaned in, taking Jason’s lips into her, sealing away what giggles she might have had left before releasing to speak again. “I shouldn’t be surprised that the date Hailey would set me up with would put you through this.”

Jason had become even more confused. That wasn’t his first kiss, but it was the first kiss a girl had ever elected to give him herself. But Rachelle didn’t stop there. She pushed him onto his back as she straddled herself over him. She touched his chest, caressing and groping the gel-filled silicone breastplate.

“Hailey told me there was something about you that would make you a keeper.” She leaned in for another kiss. This one longer—deeper, her tongue probing past the painted silicon lips.

Jason could feel her hand pressing into the breastplate against his chest while her other hand gripped his tighter. After a moment, Rachelle finally pulled back for some air.

“You… don’t mind that I’m a guy?” Jason asked, averting his face. Trying to hide the embarrassment he was sure she was becoming increasingly aware of.

She ran her fingers under the seam of his mask and whispered into his ear, “You’re the kind of guy that keeps me up at night.” She pulled the mask away from him. His cute blush was an adorable beat red and was now on display for Rachelle to drink in. She had been forward ever since she ran up to him at the entrance, but right now, it was like a switch had been flipped in her. “A hot guy that makes for an even hotter girl…”

Just as a switch had been flipped for Rachelle, Jason could feel something awakening inside him. Something that had been rousing ever since he put the bodysuit on.

Is this how it’s going to happen? Is this how I’m going to lose my virginity?! he thought as his mind scrambled. He could feel his hidden manhood coming to light as Rachelle pushed her leg between his thighs. The rubbery silicone restrained his dick, and all he wanted was for something to fill up his pussy, to rub against his inner walls to pleasure his concealed masculinity.

“I—is it still alright for me to be your girlfriend, then?”

“My roommate won't be home tonight if that answers your question.”
