A new series! This story is the first of a new series that will narrate the school-time rivalry between Layla and Emma: this particular story tells of their first encounter, during their final year of high school.

First important note: since this is a new series, I decided to try a style and type of narration that’s a bit more “bolder” compared to the standard of the main Sisterly Love series. In that series, I think I’ve reached a good balance between squishing and playfulness, whereas in this new series I intend to lean a little more into themes like nudity (as already happens in this first story) and flattening as a form of humiliation and domination over the other.
I don’t intend to go too deep into these themes: the rules of the Sisterly Love world still apply, namely that people can be squished without permanent damage, and at most within two days a flattened body returns to its original shape. But these themes will be more present in this new series, so keep that in mind.

Does this mean the main Sisterly Love series won’t continue anymore? Absolutely not, I’ll simply write stories for both series depending on what I feel like writing; now I have an “extra container” in case spicier ideas come to mind😈.

This story was originally meant to simply be the new series set in the past, without the need for a flashback, but I really wanted to use @Mindsomeone’s amazing drawing, so I included the framing narrative as well. I like how it turned out, but future stories in this series will most likely be told directly, without the need for someone in the present to recount them.

Finally, the series title: I’m still not completely convinced, so for now Squishy Rivalry remains the temporary name. It feels a bit too generic, so I’ll see in the future whether to change it or keep it.
