Well, it's been a while, huh? Hopefully, I'll be adding more often.

Anyway, about this one. This one came about through a story contest. The theme? "Take a classic fairy tale, adapt it, and fit it into a stage magic setting." I did that, though some could argue only barely.

Still, the story won the contest, so I guess I did okay.

Update:  This one was originally intended to be a one-and-done story.  It didn't turn out that way, as later I wrote a sequel.  Then, my good friend, dkfenger, wrote a sequel to my sequel.  And it just snowballed from there.  At the time of this writing, I've just posted the ninth chapter of the main series, and dkfenger has written one side story.  Unfortunately, because two writers are doing it, it's spread between our two galleries.  Good news is that the entire series can be read here: www.magicbookshelf.net/
