Well, it's been a while, huh? Hopefully, I'll be adding more often.<br /><br />Anyway, about this one. This one came about through a story contest. The theme? "Take a classic fairy tale, adapt it, and fit it into a stage magic setting." I did that, though some could argue only barely. <br /><br />Still, the story won the contest, so I guess I did okay.<br /><br />Enjoy.<br /><br />Update:&nbsp; This one was originally intended to be a one-and-done story.&nbsp; It didn't turn out that way, as later I wrote a sequel.&nbsp; Then, my good friend, dkfenger, wrote a sequel to my sequel.&nbsp; And it just snowballed from there.&nbsp; At the time of this writing, I've just posted the ninth chapter of the main series, and dkfenger has written one side story.&nbsp; Unfortunately, because two writers are doing it, it's spread between our two galleries.&nbsp; Good news is that the entire series can be read here:&nbsp;<a class="external" href="https://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?https://www.magicbookshelf.net/">www.magicbookshelf.net/</a><br /><br />I hope that helps.
