Til You Made Me Mad (Part 2)
by JMD & dkfenger

The next morning, Lynda assumed that Cyndi was back, but she didn’t bother to put on her bracelet to find out.  She just pulled her friend out of the folded laundry and got dressed.  After making sure no one was outside that might have seen her magical striptease from the day before, she got into her car and headed for class.

Lunch found her at her favorite spot by the pond.  As she sat at the private picnic table, she thought about everything that had happened since the last time she’d eaten there.  Had it really only been a week since her run in with Matt had led to her making the promise that had given Cyndi control of her weekends?  It seemed longer.

Of course, a lot had happened in that week.  She had attacked Matt and tossed him into the pond.  She had made her fateful promise.  She had ended up as Cyndi’s clothes for another night with another Mr. Right-Now.  She had shown Cyndi the mirror and almost ended up as a dress for real.  She had spent her Sunday as whatever Cyndi had turned her into while she was turned off.  She…

She stopped as something occurred to her.  SHE had attacked Matt.  SHE had made her fateful promise.   SHE had shown Cyndi the mirror.  That was an awful lot of SHE there.  Maybe…

NO!

Regardless of whether she was a tiny bit to blame for her own problems or not, she wasn’t going to let that spoil her lunch.  She still hadn’t put her bracelet on.  So, even though she was wearing Cyndi, the girl couldn’t disturb the first real peace and quiet she’d had in days.

“YOU’VE GOT TO BE FUCKIN’ KIDDIN’ ME!”

With a sigh, Lynda dropped her head.  “That’s it,” she said softly to herself.  “I’m finding somewhere else to eat.”

Slowly, she turned to see a curvaceous redhead behind her.  The woman,wearing a very tight-fitting green dress, stood with one hand on a thrown-out hip while dangling a pair of sunglasses and a set of car keys down beside her with the other.  “You?  You’re the ‘evil bitch’ that fucked up my brother’s head?” she continued.  “You?”

“I’m sorry?” Lynda replied.  “Do I know…”  She had to admit that the woman looked familiar.  “Wait.  I do know you.  Leesa Greene, right?”

“Right,” the woman confirmed.  “And you’re that peeping pervert Cyndi’s friend, Lindsey.”

“Lynda.”

“Close enough,” the woman waved her off.  “I mean, middle school was a long time ago, after all.”

“Not long enough,” Lynda replied, fighting an urge to just use her ring on the bitch and get on with her lunch.  Doing so, though, would mean restoring Cyndi. And since she was currently inside Lynda’s shorts, that wasn’t an option.  So…  “What do you want, Leesa?  As I recall, you’re an only child.  What’s this about a brother?”

The woman smiled as she came around the table.  “Well, technically,” she said, sitting without an invitation, “he’s a stepbrother.  Ever since Matt’s father married my mom anyway.”

“MATT!”

Leesa’s smile grew wider.  “So, you DO know him?”

“That creep… that…  that…”

“Pussy chaser?” Leesa offered.

“He’s your brother?”

“Stepbrother,” she corrected.  “And, thanks to you apparently, he’s not anymore.”

“Not what?”

“Chasing pussy.”

“And that’s a bad thing because…?”

“Because it’s fucking up my own fun, that’s why.”  She sat her glasses and keys on the table and looked Lynda right in the eye.  “You see, sweetie, Matt and I have… or rather had… a little arrangement.”

“Arrangement?”

“Exactly,” she nodded.  “Matt is… or was… a real horndog.  If it had a vagina, he’d fuck it.  Which was okay for him, I guess.  Me?  I like a little more flavor with my conquests.  So, every now and then, I’d have him do me a little favor.”

“Favor?”

“Careful, girl,” she commented.  “You’re starting to sound like an echo.”

“Just get on with it.”

Leesa leaned forward, crossing her arms on the table.  “Sure,” she stated.  “Bottom line. I like sex.”  She raised a finger.  “Check that.  I LOVE sex.  Especially rough sex.  The rougher, the better.  And it doesn’t get any rougher than revenge sex.”

“What?”

“Revenge sex,” Leesa repeated.  “That’s when…”

“I know what it is,” Lynda cut her off.  “What I don’t get is WHO you would need to get revenge on.”

Leesa grinned.  “Oh, baby, I’m not the one getting revenge.  I’m the one providing it.”

“Providing…  You mean you like having sex with guys whose girlfriends have been cheating on them?”

“Girlfriend, wife, fiancee.  I’m not choosy.”

“But how can you find…”  Her eyes widened as she got it.  “Ah, shit.  Matt.”

“Bingo!” Leesa confirmed with a snap of her fingers.  “I pick out a target and he goes to work.  It’s not foolproof, but his success rate is pretty up there.  Then, it’s just a matter of making sure the wrong party knows he’s been wronged.”

“And then you swoop in and…”

“Wham… Bam… Thank you, Ma’am.”  She let out a sigh of satisfaction.  “Let me tell you…  You have never been pounded until you’ve been pounded by a guy that’s out to prove something.  Ooo-weeeeee!!!”

“That’s…”  Lynda stopped as something else occurred to her.  “Wait a damn minute.  Is that what last week was all about?  Was Matt coming onto me so that you could have revenge sex with Milo?”

Leesa looked genuinely confused.  “Who the fuck is Milo?”

Lynda held up her ring.  “My fiance.”

“Fiance?  Someone actually wants to…”  Leesa just shook her head.  “Well, I can assure you that I had nothing to do with that.  I’ve never even heard of this Milo idiot.  Hell, I’d forgotten YOU existed until I found you sitting here just now.  I guess Matt was just being Matt.  Like I said earlier, he’s a lot less picky than I am,” she finished with a smile.

Lynda narrowed her eyes at the woman, which only made Leesa smile wider.  Taking a look around the area, Lynda saw that no one else was in sight.  “Okay,” she said, pushing away from the table.  “I’ve heard enough.”  After standing, she reached down and unbuttoned her shorts.

Leesa eyed her warily.  “Uh, exactly what are you doing?”

“What does it look like I’m doing?”  Lynda slipped her shorts over her hips and let them drop to her feet.  “I’m taking off my shorts,” she added, bending to pull them free.

“Because…?”

“Because,” she repeated, folding the garment and setting them on the table, “they are my favorite pair and I don’t want them to get messed up while I deal with you.”

“You?”  Leesa laughed at the idea.  “Deal with me?”

Lynda gave her a crooked smile.  ”Careful, girlie.  You’re starting to sound like an echo.”

Leesa's playfulness disappeared completely.  “Fine,” she stated, standing up on her side of the table.  “You won’t be the first skank I’ve had to give a beat down to.  You think a scrawny thing like you can take me?”

“I do.”

“Well, then,” she said, stepping forward, “bring it, Barbie!”

“No problem,” Lynda said calmly as she spread her legs apart.  “Goodbye.”

Leesa didn’t even get a chance to show surprise as she vanished.  Something small and shiny took her place and fell to the ground.

Lynda wasted no time stepping over the restored Cyndi that dropped to the ground between her legs.  She moved quickly around the table and snatched up what Leesa had become.  Turning around, she saw that Cyndi had rolled over and was starting to sit up.

“You have got to stop doing that,” her friend said, looking around.  Spotting her across the table, she instantly noticed that Lynda was naked from the waist down.  “Um…” she stammered, pointing it out.

Lynda glanced down.  “Yeah, I know.  I’ll explain later.  First, though, catch.”  She tossed the tiny object she’d retrieved over to her.

Cyndi caught it easily.  Looking into her hand, she saw that it was a condom, still in its wrapper.  Eyes widening, she looked back up at Lynda.  She opened her mouth to ask the obvious question, but before the words came out, she again fluttered to the ground as a pair of panties.

Moving quickly back around the table, Lynda grabbed Cyndi and slipped her on.  Her shorts followed swiftly thereafter.  With one more look around to assure herself that no one had seen anything, she sat back down at the table.  Opening her bag, she pulled out her bracelet and snapped it onto her wrist.  “So, I guess you’re wondering what’s going on?”

“You could say that,” Cyndi thought back over their link.  “Let’s start with the condom.  I’m assuming it hasn’t always been one.”

“Nope.”

“Matt?”

“His sister,” Lynda corrected.  “Well, stepsister.  Leesa Greene.  Apparently her mother married his father.”

Cyndi was silent as that sunk in.  “I see.  And you turned her into a condom?”

“I did indeed.”

There was another pause as Cyndi digested this new information.  “I’d just like to point out that I was going to do that exact same thing a while back, and you’re the one that stopped me.”

“Yeah,” Lynda conceded.  “But that was before I met her.  Believe me when I say that I can truly see why you wanted to do it now.”

“Uh-huh.  So, what are you going to do with her?”

“Me?” Lynda questioned.  “You’re the one that’s got her.”

“I do?”

“You were holding her when I changed you back, so… yeah.”

“That bitch is in here with me?  No way!  Get her out!”  She changed her attention.  “You hear me, Leesa.  OUT!”  She waited for a reply.  When one didn’t come, she concentrated on Lynda again.  “Why doesn’t she answer?”

Lynda shrugged.  “I don’t know.  Maybe she can’t.”

“Can’t?” Cyndi questioned.  “Why not?  I was able to talk to Milo when we were panties together.”

“Yes, you could,” Lynda agreed.  “But you were both human when you were changed.  Leesa wasn’t.  She was a condom.  A thing.  Maybe the ring treated her that way.  You know, like how your clothes change with you.”

“So, she’s what?  Gone?”

“Honestly, I don’t know for sure,” Lynda told her.  “I guess I could ask Milo, but I don’t think so.  I mean, your clothes aren’t GONE.  They’re just part of the transformation.  Whenever you change back, they’ll be good as new.  It should work the same for her.”

“So, if I change back, she will, too?”

“Not right away,” Lynda pointed out.  “I mean, she will change back, but not into herself.  She should still be a condom.”

“For how long?”

“Until you or I use the ring to change something else, I’d think.”

Cyndi gave that some thought.  “Okay, I guess I’m okay with that.  For now, at least.”  She paused for a second.  “So, you’re talking to me again.”

“I am.”

“Does this mean I’m forgiven?”

Lynda thought about that one before answering.  “I’ll make you a deal,”  she suggested.

“Oh-kay.  I’m listening.”

“I’ll forgive you if you’ll forgive me,” Lynda told her.

“Sure.  No problem,” Cyndi replied.  “Uh… For what exactly?”

“A few things,” Lynda answered, “but mainly for blaming you for MY screw-ups.  I was thinking over the last week before Leesa showed up.  And do you know what I realized?”

“What?”

“That, while you took full advantage of everything, it was my own carelessness that made it so you could.”

“Well…”

“And let’s not forget that you could have worn me to that dance Saturday night, but didn’t.  And while I’m still not happy about how you went about it, I should probably thank you for the gift you got for me.”

“Gift?”  Cyndi took a second to remember.  “OH!  You used it?”

“I did,” Lynda admitted.  “Afraid I got you a bit messy.”

“So?  I’m sure you cleaned me up.”

“Uh… yeah… I did.”

“So, no harm, no foul.”

“Sure,” she hedged.  “So, are we good?”

“Better than,” Cyndi replied.  “I just have one more question.”

“Okay?”

“Whose keys are those on the table?”

Lynda looked down, seeing the sunglasses and keys that Leesa had left there.  “Oh,” she said, picking them up, examining the logo on the key fob, “these belong to Ms. Condom.”

“So, she won’t be needing them.  Sweet.  Let’s go.”

“Go where?”

“The parking lot.”

“But I’ve got another class…”

“You’re skipping it.”

“I am?”

“Trust me.”

Lynda looked dubious, but headed for the lot.  Once there, she asked, “Okay, now what?”

“Now,” Cyndi replied, “hit the lock button on that key.”

Lynda did and was rewarded by a beep off to her right.  She turned in that direction and her jaw dropped.  “Is that…?”

“It is,” Cyndi answered.  “I recognized the logo on the key.  That, my dear Lynda, is an actual Maserati.”  She waited a moment to let it sink in.  “So, shall we?”

Lynda grinned.  “OH, HELL YEAH!”

A couple of hours later, she pulled the “borrowed” car into her spot in the driveway.  As she turned off the key, she sank back into the driver’s seat.  “OH MY GOD!” she shouted.  “That was amazing.  I think I might have…”

“Oh, you did,” Cyndi cut her off.  “And you owe me a handwashing.”

Lynda bit her lip.  “Sorry,” she said sheepishly.

“Don’t apologize,” Cyndi told her.  “Because tomorrow, it’s my turn.”

Lynda had been gathering her things off the passenger seat, but stopped at that statement.  “Tomorrow’s Thursday,” she pointed out.

“So.  You don’t have classes, right?”

Opening the door and stepping out, Lynda nodded.  “True.  But you don’t get control of the ring until Friday.”

“Who said anything about the ring,” Cyndi pointed out.  “I just want to drive this car.”

“You don’t want to wear me?”

“Well, of course I do,” Cyndi admitted.  “I always want to wear you.  But that doesn’t mean I have to.”  She gave it some thought.  “How about I make YOU a deal?”

“I’m listening,” Lynda said, unlocking the front door.

“You let me out tomorrow and I’ll promise not to try anything to get control of the ring.”

“Really?”

“Well…”  Cyndi hedged.  “I might want one concession on your part.  A little one.”

“I knew it,” Lynda sighed.  “What?”

“You have to wear the latex outfit I made for you.”

“And what will you be wearing?”

“Something from the mirror, obviously,” Cyndi said.  “There’s this fantastic purple velvet catsuit that I’ll look great in behind the wheel.”  She paused as something occurred to her.  “And, since I used you to create it, I’d still sorta be wearing you.  So, win-win.  Right?”

“I guess.”  Lynda thought it over.  “Okay,” she conceded.  “But I’m changing my underwear before we go.  I’m not spending the day with that piece of dental floss between my legs.”

“YES!” Cyndi shouted in triumph.  “We’re going to…”  She stopped, realizing what Lynda had said.  “Wait a minute,” she stated.  “How do you know what kind of underwear…”  She stopped a second time.  “LYNDA!?”

Cheeks a vibrant shade of red, Lynda rushed up the stairs.  “Well, I guess I should get you ready for that handwashing, huh?”

~~~~~   ~~~~~   ~~~~~
“Come on, Lynda,” Cyndi shouted up the stairs.  “What’s taking so long?”
“Sorry, sorry,” her friend answered, coming down.  “It took longer to get these leggings back on than I thought it would.  How do you wear stuff this tight all the time?”
Cyndi grinned.  “It’s a gift.”
“Well, I took time to update it in the mirror.  So, next time…”
“That works,” the other girl agreed.  “Though I don’t know why you didn’t just use the ring to change your underwear in the first place.  That’s what I would have done.”
“Yeah…” Lynda hedged, fingering the ring that was hanging on a chain around her neck.  Then, she brightened.  “But if I’d done that, Leesa would have gotten free.  Since you asked me not to wear my engagement ring today, I figured you didn’t want that.”
“Well,” Cyndi smiled, “that was one reason.”
Lynda narrowed her eyes at her friend.  “Ha, ha.  You’re so funny.  Where is she anyway?”
“RIght here.”  She held up her purse.  “Who knows?  Maybe I’ll run into Mr. Right-Now out there somewhere.”  She wiggled her eyebrows evilly.  “So, shall we?”
“Let’s.”
A couple of minutes later, they were backing out of the driveway in Leesa's “borrowed” car.  As they headed out of the neighborhood, Cyndi glanced over to her co-pilot.  “Where to, Thelma?”
Lynda laughed.  “You’re driving, Louise.  Just don’t go over any cliffs.  Please.”
“No promises,” Cyndi said before hitting the gas and driving Lynda back into her seat.
Amazingly, they managed to get through the day without getting into an accident… or arrested.
That night, after a trip by the mirror to “remove” their tight-fitting outfits, Lynda got ready to turn Cyndi back into her panties.  “You better get Leesa out of your purse.  Unless you want her to turn back when I change you.”
“Couldn’t you just change my purse first?  That would keep her stuck, too.”
“Yeah, it would,” Lynda nodded.  “Unless I run into someone else that ticks me off and I use the ring on them.  That would free you… and her.”
Cyndi sighed.  “Fine.”  She pulled the condom out of her purse.  “But I’m not keeping her in my hand anymore.  That feels stupid.”  She used her fingers to slip it into her bra.  “There.”  She looked up to Lynda cocking an eyebrow at her.  “What?”
Lynda just waved her off.  “Nothing.  Ready?”
“Yup.”  A second later she fluttered to the floor.
Lynda left her there while she got ready for bed, saving her panties for last.  Once she had Cyndi on, she set her alarm and climbed under the covers.  “Night,” she said before removing her bracelet and turning off the light.
~~~~~   ~~~~~   ~~~~~

Coming home from class the next afternoon, Lynda dropped her bag by the front door and rushed up to her room. Placing her books on her desk, she quickly reached under her skirt and pulled off her panties.  She dropped them to the floor and climbed into her bed, positioning herself on her back with her head on the pillow.

“Okay,” Cyndi said from the floor.  “What the hell are you doing?”

“Getting ready for the exchange,” she answered.  “I’m tired of dropping to the floor when you get control of the ring.”

“Really?” Cyndi commented.  “I’ve always liked it.  Just part of the experience.”

“Well, I could use a change.”  And as she said it, she did.  “See. Much better.”

“If you say so,” Cyndi said, getting up and looking over the bed.  Lynda had become the same dress she had the week before.  She looked like she’d been laid out to wait while someone got ready for a night out.  Spotting the ring, Cyndi picked it off the bodice of the dress.  “There you are, my Precious,” she quoted, slipping it onto her finger.

“You’re weird.”

“And proud of it.”

“So,” Lynda asked, “what are we doing tonight?”

“Not sure,” Cyndi admitted.  “But first, I guess we need to deal with…”  She reached into her shirt and pulled out the condom.  “...this.”

“You’re not really going to use her, are you?  I mean, like that?”

“Well, I might have at one time,” Cyndi answered, “but not so much anymore.  I KNOW where this bitch has been and with who.  There’s no way she can offer up any kind of protection.  Nope.  Not taking that risk.”  She tossed the condom across the room.

“Harsh,” Lynda stated.  “But honestly, having met her…”

“Exactly.”

“So, what?  Are you just going to let her go?”

“Let’s find out.”  Using the ring, she changed Lynda from a dress to a pair of black silk leggings.  She turned and watched the condom turn back into her former classmate.

Leesa had ended up face down on the floor.  Rolling over, she looked around the room in confusion.  “What the…?  Where…?”  Sitting up, she spotted Cyndi.  “YOU!”

“Yeah,” Cyndi nodded, watching as the woman came to her feet.  “Me.”

“How did I get here?” she asked, adjusting her clothes.  “And where’s that bitch that…?  What the fuck did she do to me anyway?”

“That bitch is my best friend,” Cyndi pointed out.  “And let’s just say that she did what I would have if I’d been there.”

Leesa eyed her across the room.  “Oh, you think you could, do you?”

Cyndi smiled.  “Why don’t we find out?”

“You got it, cunt,” the woman said, balling her fist.  Heading for her opponent, she drew it back.  “I’m gonna knock your…”

“I don’t think so,” Cyndi stated simply.

And Leesa stopped dead in her tracks, her fist still raised as if to strike.  Her face showed just the barest hint of confusion, but other than that, she just stood there.  Cyndi reached forward with a finger and pressed it into the other woman’s cheek.  She grinned as the woman’s face bounced back when she removed her finger.

“That was so satisfying,” she quipped.

Lynda’s voice came from behind her.  “And more than a little bit dangerous, don’t you think?”  Turning, she saw her restored friend sitting up on the bed.  “After all, we still didn’t know if you could use the ring on anyone but me, did we?”

Cyndi’s face showed concern.  “Oh.  I see your point.”  A moment later, concern turned to happiness.  “Apparently, I can.”

“Oh, joy.”  Sliding out of the bed, she came over for a closer look.  “What did you do to her anyway?”

“Solid silicone,” Cyndi proclaimed proudly.

“Oh,” Lynda said, staring into eyes that didn’t return the look.  “So, not much change, then.”  She turned back to her friend.  “And how long will she be staying this way?”

“Don’t worry,” Cyndi assured her.  “This is strictly temporary.”  She moved closer to her rival.  “This bitch has been a thorn in my side for too long now.  Always cutting in on my action at the clubs.  I think it’s time she made up for that, don’t you?”

“Okay.  How?”

Cyndi reached up and grabbed the raised arm by the wrist.  “By helping me in my search for Mr. Right,” she stated.  With that, the silicone statue changed, leaving something black and flimsy in Cyndi’s hand.  She turned and showed Lynda.  “What do you think?”

Lynda sighed at the sight of the tiny black leather hot pants her friend was holding.  “I think you’re still confused about the difference between Mr. Right and Mr. Right-Now.”

Cyndi started to say something, but before she could, the sound of the doorbell filled the house.  “Expecting company?” she asked.

“I was not,” Lynda confirmed, heading for the bedroom door.  She came to a sudden stop as she remembered something.  “Uh, could you get that?  I still don’t have any underwear on.”

“So?”

“Cyndi.”

After a sigh, Cyndi relented, handing off the hot pants.  “Here, hold these for me.  I’ll be right back.”  She turned to leave.  “I don’t know what you’re worried about anyway,” she added as she went out the door.  “The only way anyone would be able to tell you were going commando under those long-ass skirts you wear is if you did a handstand."

"I can still hear you."

"I know," Cyndi called back with a grin, skipping down the stairs.  The grin held until she reached the bottom of the stairs and saw who was waiting at the door through the front glass.  “Matt?” she hissed.  “What the fuck is he…”  She stopped as she noticed that Lynda had left her shoulder bag on the table in the foyer by the door.  Just like that, the grin returned.  “Yes?” she asked innocently as she opened the door.  “Can I help you?”

Matt had been looking off to the side as the door opened, but turned immediately.  “Yes, I was…”  He stopped at the sight of Cyndi.  A smile came to his face.  “I was just visiting one of your neighbors,” he restarted, “and was about to call a cab to take me home when I noticed my sister’s car in your drive.”  He nodded his head in that direction.  “So, I figured…”  He stopped as he seemed to realize something.  “Wait a second.  I know you,” he stated.  “Mindy, right?”

Cyndi’s eyes darkened, but she kept the smile on her face.  “Close,” she said sweetly.  “And you’re Match.”

“Uh,” he corrected, “It’s Matt, actually.”

“No,” Cyndi told him.  “It’s Match.  As in matching top.”

“Huh?”

Before he could question her further, he vanished, leaving something shiny and black hanging in the air.  Cyndi quickly grabbed it before it could fall to the ground.  Kicking the door closed, she grabbed up Lynda’s bag and stuffed it inside.  A second later, the large bag changed into a tiny clutch purse.

“CYNDI!” Lynda’s voice screamed from upstairs.  “What…?”  The sound of something hitting the floor cut her off.

“Get off of me, bitch.”  From the sound of her voice, Leesa was making her way out of the bedroom, heading for the stairs.  “I’m getting my ass out of this crazy place before something else comes along and…”  She stopped as she got to the bottom, seeing Cyndi leaning casually against the front door.

“Yeah,” Cyndi said, holding up her hand with the ring on it.  “So close, and yet...”

“Well, fuck,” the woman sighed.  A second later, she was gone and the hot pants were back, dropping to the bottom step.

Lynda came rushing down the steps just in time to see the change.  Coming to a quick stop, she worked to get her breath under control.  “What the hell, Cyndi?” she asked, bending to pick up the shorts before coming on down the stairs.

“Sorry,” her friend answered, reaching into Lynda’s bag that had turned back with Leesa’s change.  “I didn’t have time to warn you about that.”  She pulled something out of the bag with a smile.  “What do you think?” she asked, holding up a black leather halter top.

Lynda stared at the top for a bit before looking her friend in the eye.  “Cyndi,” she said, trying to keep a level tone, “WHO was at the door?”

“Oh, calm down,” Cyndi replied.  “It wasn’t anyone important.  It was just Matt.”

“Matt?  My Matt?”

Cyndi cocked an eyebrow at her.  “YOUR Matt?”

“Oh, stop it,” Lynda scolded her.  “You know what I meant.”  She held the pants out to her.  “What was he doing here?”

“Apparently,” she answered, slipping the top back into the bag, “he was looking for her.”  She nodded toward the hot pants.

“Leesa?”

“Yup.”

“How did he know she was here?”

“Saw her car.”

Lynda’s eyes shot up.  “Oh, crap.  I didn’t think about that.  Anyone looking for her will be looking for it, won’t they?”

“Probably,” Cyndi agreed, reaching out to take the shorts from her.  “But he wasn’t looking for her.”

“Then…?”

“He claims he was visiting one of your neighbors.”  She added the pants to the bag.  “He just noticed the car as he was leaving.”

“Visiting?”

“Yeah,” Cyndi smiled.  “I didn’t buy it either.  Looks like one of the housewives around here got herself a little afternoon delight.”

Lynda looked confused.  “But Leesa said he wasn’t doing that anymore.”

“You mean that whole revenge sex thing?”  At her nod, Cyndi huffed.  “Trust me on this one.  He might not be doing IT for her anymore, but he’s still doing IT.  Guy’s like him can’t help themselves.  Hell, he even started flirting with me before I changed him.”  She grinned, striking a sexy pose.  “But then, what guy wouldn’t?”

“Milo,” Lynda answered proudly.

“Milo’s yours,” Cyndi stated flatly.  “He doesn’t count.”

“And don’t you forget it.”  She waited a beat to get the point across.  “I guess,” she went on,  “that leaves me with just one more question.”

“Which is?”

“Why are you putting them back into my bag?”

Cyndi grinned, as the bag became the clutch again.  “Because I still need some tights to go with them.”

Lynda sighed heavily.  “Do you ever intend to let me help you find Mr. Right?”

“Sure,” she nodded seriously before the grin returned.  “Eventually.”

Her friend threw up her hands.  “Fine,” she gave in.  “Go ahead.  Make me into tights.  Boots.  Body paint.  Whatever you need.  I give up.  You’re never going to change.”

“Probably not,” Cyndi admitted as she set the bag back on the table.  She turned back to her friend, holding up the ring.  “But you are.”  A second later, a pair of silky black tights dropped down, the ring bouncing off the floor next to them.

Lynda stared at the spot where her friend had stood a moment before, too shocked to say anything.  Luckily she didn’t have to, as Cyndi’s voice came over their bracelet connection.

“Okay.  What just happened?”

“You turned into tights.”

“Yeah.  Got that.  Why?”

“You’re asking me?  You were the one in control here.”

“Well, apparently not since…”  Her voice went from calm to angry in a second.  “...I’M A PAIR OF FUCKING TIGHTS!”

Lynda winced at the volume, deciding not to comment.

“Where’s the ring?” Cyndi asked, back in control.

“By your left foot.”

“Well, don’t just stand there.  Get it and turn me back.”

“I don’t think so.”

“What? Why…”  She stopped as she considered the question herself.  “Okay.  Okay, I get it.  I promise not to use you as my tights.”

“Thanks,” Lynda acknowledged.  “But still no.”

“But…”

“Do you want both of us stuck as tights?”

“Well, of course not.”

“Then we’re not doing anything until we figure out why the ring’s acting up.”

“Because it’s a moody, temperamental…”

“That’s right.  Piss it off more.  I wonder what ELSE it could turn you into.”

“Okay.  Okay.  I’m sorry.”

“Don’t apologize to me.”

She heard Cyndi sigh.  “Okay.  I’m sorry, Ring.  Happy now?”

“More like amused, but…”

“Can we just get to figuring this out, please?”

“Sure.  Let’s give it some thought.  When has the ring changed the wearer before?”

“Well, there’s the time you turned yourself into an airplane.  And panties.”

“As I remember it, I was tricked into becoming panties.”  Before Cyndi could comment, she went on.  “But that’s not the same.  Both of those times, I actually caused it to change me.  The only time it ever changed the wearer on its own was…  Oh.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah.  Oh.”

“Okay.  Oh what?”

Lynda smiled.  “Oh, I think I know what Mom was trying to tell me.”

“About?”

“About promises.”

“Promises?”

“Yes.”

“And what the flying fuck do promises have to do with your ring turning me into a pair of tights?”

“Just think about it,” Lynda explained.  “Why has it given you control of it on the weekends?”

“Because you said it could.”

“I said it could while I…” she prompted.

“Help me look for my Milo.”

“Right,” she nodded.  “I PROMISED to help you with it.  But I wasn’t the only one that made a promise that day.  Do you remember what you said?”

“Not exactly.”

“Well, I do.  You said that if I keep helping, you’d keep looking.”

“I did?”

“You did.”

“But I HAVE been looking.”

“Have you?  Really?”

“Sure.  I went out last weekend.  And I was going out tonight.”

“Seriously?  You see that as looking for Mr. Right?”

“Well… Yeah.  In a way.”

“And I guess you consider turning me into tighter-than-tight outfits is ME helping?”

“Doesn’t hurt,” Cyndi said in a playful tone.

Lynda wasn’t having it.  “Doesn’t help either.  Face it, Cyndi.  Since you’ve gotten control of it, you’ve used the ring for nothing more than having a good time.  I know it.  You know it.  And, apparently, the ring knows it, too.”

Cyndi was quiet for a bit.  “So, what?  If I don’t take your advice about going to bookstores and museums, I'll stay a pair of tights?”

“Kinda looks that way, yeah.”

“Well, shit.”  She sighed.  “Okay, I guess I don’t really have a choice.  Which sucks.  Because I was really looking forward to wearing the fuck-anything-that-breaths twins as that outfit tonight.”

“Sorry.  If it makes you feel any better, you can still wear them as something a little tamer.”

“Don’t you mean A LOT tamer?  Bookstores and museums, remember?”

“Well, I was actually going to suggest going to a street concert downtown tonight.  So…”

Cyndi considered it.  “I guess that’s better than a museum.  Okay, Ring.  I’m not promising to not use you for the occasional fun time, but I’ll start taking this search a lot more seriously.  What do you say?”  They both waited, but Cyndi didn’t change back.  “Well?”

“I don’t know.  How WOULD we know?”

“I guess you could try to change me.”

Lynda hesitated.  “That’s more than a little risky, don’t you think?”

“Well, I’m open to ideas.”

“And I’m fresh out of them.  I’m not even sure I want to touch it at this point.  After all, it’s the weekend.  I’m not supposed to be able to use it.  Remember?”

“Well, try this.  Drop my foot over it.  I’ll see if that will let me use it.”

Lynda reached out and used her toe to nudge the foot of the tights over the top of the ring.  After a moment, she asked, “Well?”

“Nothing.  Crap.  Now, what?”

“Well, it looks like we’re going to have to consider this weekend a bust.  Monday, I should be back in control.  We’ll see what happens then.”

Cyndi gave a heavy sigh.  “I guess you’re right.  Well, shit.  So, what are you going to do with your free weekend?”

“For one, I’m going to take the car and swap it with mine.  You know, just in case someone else actually comes looking.”

“A shame, but you’ve got a point.  And the ring?”

Lynda bent and used Cyndi to pick up the ring without actually touching it.  “IT is going to spend the weekend on my nightstand.”  She picked up her bag and headed up the stairs.

“Well, do me one favor, then.”

Lynda stopped on the stairs, looking suspiciously at the tights.  “I’m listening.”

“When you take the car back, wear the three of us.”

Lynda laughed, heading on up.  “I don’t think so.”

“Oh, come on, it would be a shame to let a hot outfit like us go to waste.”

“No, Cyndi,” she insisted, entering her room.  “Forget about it.  Not happening.”  Holding the tights over her nightstand, she let the ring drop to the surface

“We’ll see.  After all, I’ve got a whole weekend to convince you.”

Lynda sighed, dropping her bag and the tights onto the bed.  “Not if I do this,” she said, taking her bracelet off and placing it next to the ring.  She listened for a second.  “Ah, blissful silence.”

She opened her bag, pulling the halter and shorts out.  She looked at them for a second, noting that if she didn’t know it was the case, she’d never think that there were two people trapped inside them.  Picking up the tights, she carried all three over to her dresser, opened a drawer and dropped them inside.  Using her hip, she closed the drawer.

“Okay, I guess I should take care of that car,” she said, grabbing up her bag and heading for the door.  She made it as far as the top of the stairs before she stopped.

After a few moments, she looked back over her shoulder.
