Dear Prime Minister,

I am writing to you Today regarding the latest improvements you have made to the state of our great nation.

That I can now protect my wife’s fidelity openly has been a massive boon to our household and has made domestic life far more harmonious. The measures I have taken have the added bonus that, not only can I rest easy at work knowing my wife is protected both from her own urges and any unwelcome advances, but she is restrained from snacking on food stuffs detrimental to her figure or health. Nor can she now run up costly phone charges idly talking to her sister in France.

However I feel the new laws, excellent as they are, have been written in haste. For a large section of the female population has been neglected. As the father of two daughters it pains me that I do not have the ability to protect or control my own flesh and blood as well as my wife. As teenagers they are at that difficult age that sees too many young girls make poor decisions due to inexperience and youth.

As a responsible citizen and a responsible husband I want to be a responsible Father. I desire the ability to protect my daughters both from themselves and others, in much the same way as my wife, until such time as I could select suitable husbands for them. Surely a law granting a father the legal right to protect his daughters can only be for the betterment of society?

If I could take the opportunity while I’m writing to make some further suggestions? It seems to me that a young woman can often make poor life choices. As such it could be considered only a good thing that the age of majority for a woman should be raised to twenty-one from the present eighteen. This would give a father, or legal male guardian, a five year window in which to select a suitable husband.

It also would seem prudent to require any young woman under the age of majority to have a state appointed guardian in the event or their fathers untimely demise.

Finally I am not naive enough to believe that the majority of young women would be that keen on the implementation on the above. The naivety of youth often shirks the firm hand of fatherly guidance. However if you made fathers of daughters legally responsible and culpable for their daughters transgressions I think they would feel properly motivated to help in the moral regeneration of our great nation.

I hope this finds you in good health. I remain both a constituent and enthusiastic supporter of your drive to improve the morals of this great country.

Yours sincerely,

Alistair B’got
