“Sharing your toys” Part 1 of 2
An Art Trade w/ KingdigikeyatoXZ (See description for details)
When it comes to magic, looks can often be deceiving.
As she made her way down the street, Ellen certainly didn’t seem all too out of the ordinary: With her hands tucked in the front pocket of her pink hoodie, her short dark hair bobbing slightly with each light step, the girl seemed perfectly harmless. And that was true, for the most part, but as her gaze caught the eyes of an especially sweet-looking brown haired girl passing her on the street, Ellen couldn’t help but stop and think to herself how cute the stranger would be if she was turned into a teddy bear and propped up on her bed at home. Grinning at the thought, she was quick to shrug off her more impulsive urges, though she did sneak one more glance back at the girl as she walked by. ‘You’ll have a new toy to play with soon enough, Ellen. Now come on, you’re already late,’ she reminded herself, cheerfully picking up her pace as she walked.
Ellen was a girl with more than a few hobbies, her carefree lifestyle lending itself well to her always finding new ways to keep herself entertained. Through the chaos of it all though, the girl had two real passions that stood out, the first of the two being magic. Despite not flying around on a broom, or twirling a wand in her fingers, Ellen was a witch of sorts; the shorter girl had a decent amount of magic literally right at her fingertips. Even though she had a fair amount of power at her disposal though, she didn’t care much to abuse it, only really ever using it to toy with her friends from time to time. This actually was closely tied to her other big interest as well, collecting and playing with stuffed toys of all kinds, more often than not with help of her magical talents.
Ellen had a tendency to ‘borrow’ her friends from time to time when she was bored, and as her friends had learned quite quickly, Ellen found herself getting bored fairly often. With anything from a hug to a simple brush of her hand, she had the ability to transform people into most anything, though more often than not the end result would be as a new plush toy for Ellen to play with. Eventually, she’d always turn them back to normal, but that wasn’t before some much-needed playtime or cuddling up to them for a while.
Continuing her journey down the sidewalk, she was actually on her way to collect a plushie right now, a friend of hers named Victoria who she couldn’t help but think would make a great stuffed animal. It was Vic’s birthday today, and given her unique abilities, Ellen thought what better gift to get her than treat her to a day as a toy! (In reality, she had completely forgotten to get her friend a gift until just that morning and this was a frantic backup plan, but she liked her version of the story better.) Now, finally rounding the street corner and walking up to Victoria’s building, Ellen smirked to herself once more at the thought of the transformation that was about to occur. Stretching her fingers playfully, she mused to herself: “I wonder what kind of toy I should turn the birthday girl into...”
Practically skipping up the steps leading up to Victoria’s apartment, Ellen didn’t hesitate to reach for the doorknob, not bothering to knock first. She had been there enough times to know that Vic rarely kept her doors locked, swinging the door open with ease before calling out in a lighthearted, almost singsong voice. “Oh Birthday Girl! You home?” Pausing for a moment, she could hear a light laugh just around the corner, Ellen closing the door behind her as she listened for the response. “Thanks for knocking, Ellen. We’re in the living room!” Pursing her lips slightly, Ellen thought to herself for a moment as she stood in the foyer. ‘Wait… we? Who’s we?’ She wasn’t expecting anyone aside from just Vic to be waiting for her, but as she rounded the corner into the apartment, she could see she wasn’t alone.
Sitting on the far side of the room was Victoria, the birthday girl looking to Ellen with a grin as she moved some strands of dark hair from her eyes. There, on the couch beside her, was another girl though: the stranger was a taller brunette who was laid out on the couch beside her friend, all the while looking to Ellen with great interest. Before Ellen could inquire about anything, Vic spoke up. “I was wondering when you were gonna decide to show up!” she teased, glancing between the two other girls in the room before continuing. “Anyway, Ellen, sorry to just drop this on you, but this is Haley!” She motioned to the stranger as she did, Haley sitting up a bit and giving her a slight wave as the two looked each other over.
At this point, Ellen was a bit confused; as far as she knew, she was supposed to spend the afternoon alone with the birthday girl, planning to have already turned her into some kind of adorable plushie by now. Before she could get too disappointed though, she heard Victoria speak up once more. “Sorry, I know it was supposed to be just us today, but something tells me this would be fun! I know you don’t know each other, buuuut” Vic continued, motioning between the two girls, “you two have more in common than you think!”
With another second of confusion, Ellen glanced to Haley once more and looked her over. From the knowing smile on the taller girl’s face, Ellen could tell that Victoria has already told the stranger all about her. Overall, there was nothing too telling about the girl: With a pair of tall boots going up along her legs, a tight sweater showing off some notable curves, and a short jacket over the girl’s shoulders, there wasn’t anything unordinary looking about the girl. With a shrug, Ellen looked back to Victoria. “I don’t know, we both like sushi or something? You lost me here.” With a short laugh, Victoria responded. “Close, buuut… actually yeah not close at all. Here, Haley, can you just show her?” Looking to Vic with a joking, exaggerated eye roll as if to say ‘fine, if I have to,’ Haley reached for her boot and slipped something out from the side of it. Twirling the object in her fingers playfully, it took a second of squinting for Ellen to realize what was in her hand. At that, her eyes went a bit wide, excitedly looking between it and Haley. “Is that… a wand? Wait, are you… a-“ Cutting her off, Haley finished her sentence for her with a smirk. “Yup, I’m a witch. From what I’ve heard though, you’re not too bad at magic yourself, right?”
For a moment or so, Ellen was in shock, looking between her friend and the supposedly magic girl beside her, with it taking a few seconds for her to process everything that had just been laid out in front of her. A split second later though, Ellen practically jumped on the couch between Haley and Victoria, a mixture of surprise and excitement to be talking to another magic user. “Wait, really? You’re joking, right?” With a slight laugh, Haley stopped twirling her wand, a small orb of light appearing from the end of it. “You tell me!” At that, the two were talking excitedly as the birthday girl looked onwards from the sidelines, smirking slightly as the tension in the room disappeared into an excitable back and forth between the two strangers. ‘This is going to be a fun birthday after all,’ Victoria found herself thinking.
In what seemed like no time at all, the new acquaintances were chatting away as if they hadn’t only just met, discussing everything from how they first learned to use magic, to their preferred methods of practicing it, and even how different their two notably different styles of using it were (Haley using a wand, Ellen simply using her fingers.) All the while, Vic looked at the two from her spot on the couch, enjoying how much they were enjoying their conversation. She wasn’t quite sure how she got lucky enough to know multiple witches, but she wasn’t going to complain. ‘I had a feeling those two would hit it off’ she thought, smirking to herself. ‘Buuut, I wonder how long it’s gonna take before they realize they have more than just magic in common.’ Barely a second before completing her thought, Vic half jumped out of shock, watching as Ellen seemingly shot out of her seat. ‘And there we go, that was quick!’ she thought, giggling to herself as she watched her prediction play out and she heard Ellen speak up. “Wait, really?! I thought I was the only one that had a thing for turning my friends into toys!!”
Just as Victoria had guessed, the conversation had evolved from them talking about magic to how both of them tended to use their magic; As it turned out, Ellen wasn’t the only one who made a hobby of transforming those around her into toys. Haley, now just as excited as the other magic user, had at first hesitantly brought up her tendencies to turn people into toys of all kinds. She was used to people, even other witches, finding that to be a weird quirk, but as the conversation picked up, Haley found herself counting on her fingers as she rattled off the various dolls and stuffed animals she had made over the years as Ellen listened intently. In no time, the two began to laugh and tell stories of some of the favorite transformations they had pulled off, Ellen recounting the dozens of times she had casually ‘borrowed’ her friends when she needed a teddy bear to toy around with or a pillow to cuddle up to at night. After a number of stories being passed back and forth, the conversation eventually went full circle though and turned back to the birthday girl on the couch beside them, Haley mentioning that at one point months back she had even kept Victoria as a life sized doll for a week.
Pointing her over her shoulder at Victoria, Ellen spoke up in response. “That’s so funny! I was actually planning on turning the b-day girl here into a plush for her birthday! Good to know she had a thing for it already!”
With her eyes going a bit wide, Victoria leaned over in her seat to peak over Ellen’s shoulder, looking between her friends as she spoke up with a tone of surprise in her voice “…What? Wait, what was that, Ellen?” Not even acknowledging the toy-to-be, Haley crossed her arms with a confident grin. For a moment, she was quiet, her eyes locked on Ellen.
“Oh really? That is kinda funny, I guess great minds think alike… You’re gonna need another gift idea though; I was already going to turn Victoria into a doll today, sooo guess you’re out of luck.”
A bit flustered at the two girl’s separate plans to turn her into a toy on her birthday, Victoria pursed her lips and spoke up, a bit more meekly this time. “Wait, both of you were going to do what now?... Guys?”
The pair paid Victoria’s words no mind at all, a new tension in the room forming as the pair went from loving how much they had in common to being in conflict because of it; despite being at ends, the two magic users were unyielding, both of them leaning in slightly as they stared down one another intently. As it turns out, the two shared one more common trait: they were both stubborn. Victoria, trying to peak in from the sidelines, could almost see sparks fly from their gaze as neither were about to give up their toy. Not backing down, Ellen shot back in a calm but stern tone after a moment of tense silence between the two. “Well, I said it first, and I thought of it first, so therefore I had first dibs on Vic for the day. Sorry, you’re going to have to turn her into a doll some other time.” She was intent as she spoke, but Haley didn’t budge, letting out a slight chuckle at the remark. “Well, I was literally here first, so if you wanted dibs, you should have shown up earlier.”
Without a moment of hesitation, what started as friendly banter had turned into the two shooting back and forth, raising their voices slightly as the argument escalated by the second. The whole time, Victoria’s gaze bounced back and forth frantically between the two girls arguing over her as if she really was just a toy two kids were tugging back and forth. Normally, she wouldn’t have minded two people fighting over her, but not so much when it was about who would get to turn her into a plaything against her will. Chiming in, Victoria timidly tried to quell the argument, leaning over once more to peak between the two witches. “Don’t I get a say in this?” Without skipping a beat, the two turned to looked to her as they shot back in unison. “No!”
For a few seconds, there was silence, Victoria looking back between the two with a nervous look and a meek smile. They were both still heated, and knowing that this could turn into a magical standoff at any moment, Vic continued as she lifted her hands as to calm the two down. “Ok, ok. Well, before either of you start blasting away at each other, there needs to be a fair way to decide this right?” At this point, Victoria had no idea why she was trying to find a fair way for her to end up as a toy, but it was better than the situation she found herself in right now. “Well, I’m great at this kind of stuff! My plushies always turn out the best, better than hers at least!” Ellen started, Haley quick to shoot back. “No way, I’ve been doing this for years! I’m definitely better at all this.”
Sensing the two were about to spark back up their argument, Victoria intervened, stopping them cold before it could escalate once more. “Well then, there has to be a fair way to settle who makes the better toys…right? I can’t believe I’m agreeing to this, but instead of starting a brawl in my living room, maybe we can have a competition, a friendly competition to see who-“ pausing for a second to sigh, Victoria finished her thought. “to see who gets to have me as a toy for the day.” For a few moments, there was silence as the two witches thought things over, Ellen being the first to speak up. “Well, I guessssss that would be the fair way to go about things. I can show you how great my toys are, and I guess you can show me some of your alright dolls too. Then you could see how much better mine are!” Crossing her arms, Haley replied, ignoring the jab. “Yeah, I guess that could be fun.”
“Perfect!” Victoria spoke up, standing up from the couch and looking to her friends with a grin. “I guess you two have no other choice than to not kill each other and leave my apartment to go get your toys then!” At that, the two magic users glanced at each other once more and nodded after one last moment of hesitation, the birthday girl continuing. “In the meantime, I’ll-“
All at once, Victoria froze in place. The girl had stopped midsentence, her mouth still open and her pose unmoving. Confused, Ellen looked from her to Haley, who had her wand out and pointed at Victoria. Glancing over to Ellen, Haley replied with a slightly guilty tone. “What? Gotta make sure she isn’t going anywhere, so I froze her in place. I can start her back up when we come back with the toys.” Standing up, Haley began to make her way for the door of the apartment, Ellen springing up and examining Victoria’s frozen face up close before following. “We?” she asked, making her way out the door and giving one more glance to the immobilized birthday girl. “Yeah, we. I’ll drive, it’ll be quicker.” Haley replied before continuing. “Only question is, where to first?”

It was a surprisingly relaxed Saturday for Stacy. For the last few hours, she had her apartment to herself; her roommate Ellen was gone for the day, off busy being up to no good as she could safely assume, leaving Stacy to enjoy the silence without her. She had to admit, she did love her roommate, but still it was nice to have some alone time, it being especially nice not having to worry about ending up flopped over on her side as some kind of stuffed toy because Ellen was feeling lonely. By this point, Stacy was well used to Ellen’s “hobbies,” having spend a fair amount of time turned into something or other by her witch of a roommate; Still, she’d be lying if she didn’t enjoy it if only just a bit, always a sucker for her roommates affectionate attitude towards her. ‘Ellen’s hugs are always the best, even if I end up as her teddy bear because of it,’ she thought to herself with a smirk.
For now though, she was simply relaxing on the couch in their living room, browsing the internet in relative silence with the only sounds in the apartment being the occasional click from her keyboard. All of a sudden though, things became very not silent, Stacy practically falling off the couch as her front door crashed open and Ellen ran in, an intent tone in her voice. “Stacy!! I need to borrow you!”
Stifling a curse under her breath, Stacy closed her laptop and got up from the couch, still flustered by the shock she had just endured. “El, you almost gave me a heart attack,” she started, looking down for a moment as she straightened out her skirt. “Where’s the fire? What’s the rush for?” she continued, but as she looked up she had her answer. There in her foyer stood Ellen, who looked to her with a broad grin, but standing next to her was a taller girl that she didn’t recognize. Before she could even speak up to introduce herself to the stranger, Stacy felt as her roommate darted up to her and gave her a huge hug from behind, Stacy being lifted off the ground by the hug before being put back down. She was tempted to fight back a bit, but as Ellen swayed her from side to side with her hug and rested her chin over her shoulder, she couldn’t help but enjoy the affection. “Stacy, I’d like you to meet Haley!” Ellen started, her arms still wrapped around her friend as she pointed Stacy towards the stranger. “And Haley, I’d like you to meet my favorite toy!”
Blushing slightly, Stacy looked to the girl on her shoulder and then to Haley. “I… no. I’m just Stacy, I’m not ‘her toy,’ I promise.” She said to the stranger as Haley stepped closer to the pair, a notable smile creeping over her lips. For a moment, she just looked over the blonde haired girl as Ellen continued to sway contently with her hug. “Well then, ‘Just Stacy,’ nice to meet you,” Haley replied. Before Stacy could really ask what was going on, the girl could feel a warmth coming from her midriff, Ellen hugging her a little tighter as she did. At that, Haley leaned in and continued. “Ellen told me a lot about you on the way over here by the way; That said, are you sure you’re not her toy?”
As she began to realize what was happening, Stacy let out a defeated sigh, speaking up as she did. “Ellen, whyyyy? I was supposed to just relax today!” With a mischievous grin, Ellen spoke into her friend’s ear. “Well now you can spend the day relaxing with me, toy.” At that, the warmth began to spread over Stacy’s body. As Ellen gave her another squeeze, lifting the girl slightly off the ground once more, Stacy could feel the soft give of stuffing coming from her own body, her shirt ridding up slightly as she was picked up to unveil a plush white fabric across her stomach.
After a second, Ellen stopped lifting her roommate off the ground, only this time her legs didn’t seem to reach the ground underneath her. Looking down, Stacy could see that she was shorter than before and shrinking slowly by the moment, her white knee socks has taken on a rounder, less defined appearance as her feet now dangled above the ground. Embarrassed, Stacy blushed slightly, looking directly ahead as Haley giggled at the display. Watching as Haley stepped up to the two, the girl could feel as her chin was lifted up to meet the stranger’s gaze. “Sorry toy, your owner and I are settling a bet, so we’re going to need to borrow you for a bit.” With a wink, Haley let go, Stacy’s chin drooping slightly as she found it harder to move on her own. As the white fur continued its spread over her body, her arms taking on similarly toyish appearance to her legs and the changes reaching her neck, Ellen spoke up one last time as she looked to Haley. “For the last time, I’m not a toy, and she’s not my own-“ With a poof, Stacy was cut off midsentence. As things settled down, the shrinking stopped, and the now black and white fur had covered Stacy’s body. Now, the girl was nothing but a stuffed toy, standing only a foot or two tall and pressed to her owner’s chest. Catching her reflection in a mirror that lined the living room wall, Stacy could see she was now nothing but a stuffed panda doll.
With despite the warm smile stitched on the toy’s face, Stacy was frustrated and more than a bit embarrassed to have been turned into a plaything in front of a complete stranger. Save for still having her clothes on, (her knees socks, skirt, and short blue tee still covering her plush body,) as well as a puff of blond hair still adorning the toy’s head, Stacy was barely recognizable as the plush panda she was now. Dangling in Ellen’s arms, the toy had patterned black fur down her arms, legs, and in circles surrounding her inanimate eyes. She even had two fabric back ears popping through her hair. Feeling as her stuffing tightened once more as Ellen excitedly hugged her, Stacy couldn’t do much as she was held out at arm’s length and jostled around excitedly, her rounded appendages flopping aimlessly.
“See??? Look, look how adorable she turned out!” Ellen remarked, Holding the plush toy up for Haley to see. Taking the panda in her arms for a moment, Haley examined the doll, letting out a slight grin before composing herself. “Well, you did a pretty alright job, buuut just wait to you see my toys. Come’on, let’s get a move on.” At that, Haley tossed the panda doll back to her owner, and at that the two made their way to the door. All Stacy could do was feel as she was tucked tightly in her owner’s grasp, Ellen skipping out the door to follow Haley. In only a few minutes, Stacy had gone from having a relaxing day alone to being toy-napped, her gaze bobbing slightly with each step Ellen took. ‘It’s going to be a long day,’ she thought to herself, quietly enjoying the comfort of being in her owner’s arms.

“Wait, why are we pulling up to the mall?”
Sitting in the passenger seat of Haley’s car with Stacy-doll slumped over in her lap, Ellen looked to the other witch with some confusion as they pulled into the local shopping mall. “I thought we were off to pick up your toys, Haley, not find new ones.” Without skipping a beat, Haley replied. “Well normally my dolls would be propped up against the backboard of my bed like good toys, buuut my boyfriend thought it would be ‘healthy’ to turn them back into people for the day and take them out. I’m pretty sure he just wanted to see a movie in the theater here though and didn’t want to go alone, so he dragged them along.”
As the two got out of the car, Stacy still pressed to her owner’s chest as they walked up to the mall, Ellen perked up slightly at what she heard. At that, the girl spoke up once more with new interest in her voice. “Wait, did you say they’re just human for the day? So does that mean you actually keep them as toys? Like keep keep them?” Not thinking much of it, Haley nonchalantly replied. “Yeah, why? I mean they’re my dolls after all. They practically begged me to keep them a while back and ever since they’ve spent their days as decorations for my room and playthings.” Stopping in her tracks for a moment, Ellen went from being surprised to giddy in an instant, leaning in towards the stuffed panda in her arms and whispered in her ear. “You hear that Stace? Haley actually gets to keep her toys! Maybe I should keep you like this too!” Despite protesting internally, Stacy was silent as ever, the stitched smile on the toy’s face unwavering as she felt Ellen tighten her hug around her. ‘Ellen, No! Don’t get any ideas!’ All she could really do though was bounce in her owner’s grasp as Ellen caught up to Haley, admittedly wondering if she’d enjoy a life as her friend’s plaything.

Brian had to admit, it was actually kind of unusual how normal today had been. For the first time in what seemed like forever he had enjoyed a lazy morning: some coffee in bed, getting some work done online while his girlfriend was out for the day (‘probably up to no good,’ he thought,) and now with the afternoon free, he decided to go out to the movies just for the hell of it. With a short drive to the small theater located right in the shopping center near his apartment, Brian found himself killing some time in the mall’s food court, people watching as he sat back in his chair at one of the tables there. As his eyes rolled over the crowd around him, his gaze eventually landed on a regal looking toy store further down into the mall. Looking over the entrance of the store with a smirk, he was half tempted to go explore the shop, stopping himself a moment later. ‘Oh no you don’t; You have too many toys as is,’ he mused to himself, looking up over the table from where he sat.
There, just across from where he sat, were Emma and Priya: the girls were both long term friends of his girlfriend Haley, though these days it would be a bit more accurate to say that they were Brian and Haley’s favorite playthings; Despite their current appearances, looking perfectly normal as a pair of friends enjoying a day at the mall, the two of them had actually been dolls only a few hours ago:
Despite dressing and looking like any other girl, on most days Emma was nothing but a lifesized plush doll, a stuffed anthro-fox girl that usually found herself propped up around the bedroom or being used as a body pillow, the vixen’s plush orange fur and stuffed frame usually being too comfortable for Brian not to carry around the apartment in a bear hug. Meanwhile, Priya’s smooth dark skin was usually silicon instead of its current flesh and blood, the girl spending most of her time as a realistic sex doll that belonged to Haley and Brian. Both of them had asked Haley to turn them into dolls before Brian had even met the witch, and since then, the two had loved their lives as just a pair of bed toys that belonged to the couple.
Looking over to the pair as they chatted back and forth, Emma playing with her strawberry blonde hair while Pri casually leaned back with her hands behind her head, even Brian had to remind himself that the girls in front of him were the same toys he had left in a pile atop one another on the bed only that morning (despite being able to move on their own, even as toys, they seemed to prefer being good dolls and remained inanimate most of the time.) Thinking back to the dollish grin on Emma’s face that morning, the fox doll flopped limply over Priya where he had dropped her, Brian couldn’t help but smirk himself. At that, he heard Priya speak up in a coy tone. “You know Brian, it’s not very polite to stare.”
Shaking himself out of his daydream, Brian blinked, looking up to the girls across from him just as they broke out laughing. Smirking slightly at the display, he chuckled back at them. “Sorry, sorry, didn’t mean to stare. I just can’t remember I saw you two as real girls and not, well, dolls, you know? It’s kind of odd, right?” Without skipping a beat, Emma leaned over the table, propping her chin up on her hands and making a joking pouty face at her owner. “What, you think I look weird without my fur and a tail?” Before he could even respond, the two started laughing once more, Priya chiming in as well. “We’re joking, relax. It’s odd for us too,” she started, looking to Brian with a warm smirk. “It was a good idea though, getting us out of the house. You might just be a thoughtful owner after all,” she said with a wink before continuing. “It’s actually pretty nice to be up and moving around without you puppeting us for once.” Admittedly, Brian was just bored and needed someone to go to the movies with, but he wasn’t about to turn down praise from the dolls. At that, Priya went back to leaning back on her chair, but as she did, the girl’s eyes went wide as a second later she began to lose her balance. Before she could fall back though, a hand caught the end of the chair, Priya half panicking as she was set back upright. “Careful doll, don’t break yourself. Maybe we do need to be puppeting you after all.”
Looking up, Brian paused for a moment in surprise. There, seemingly out of nowhere, Haley had appeared and was standing between Emma and Pri. As Priya took a moment to compose herself from almost falling, Emma didn’t waste a moment to react, a bright smile coming over her face as she wrapped her arms around Haley’s waist for a hug. Brian could have sworn he could see Emma’s nonexistent tail wagging, Haley lifting her arms in some surprise herself at the affection before lowering her hand onto Emma’s head. “Good to see you to girl,” she started, giving her a playful scratch on the head before looking to Brian. Before he could even ask what she was doing here, she beat him to the punch. “Hey babe, sorry for ambushing your day out, buuuuut I kind of need to borrow the girls.”
Still a bit flustered that his girlfriend had appeared out of thin air, not even really sure how she knew where to find them, Brian started with an eloquent “Wait… what?” After pausing for a moment, he shook it off and continued. “Sorry, hey babe, but what are you saying exactly? I thought you were out for the day, why do you need to ‘borrow the girls’ all of a sudden?” Before Haley could respond, Brian saw as a shorter girl peaked out from around Haley’s shoulder, giving him a slight wave while Haley pointed back over her shoulder. “Well, that’s why.” A moment later, the stranger hopped out from behind Haley with a grin on her face: There, he could see that the girl was wearing a pink hoodie and holding a well-made plush panda doll to her chest, Brian instantly detecting some magic coming from the floppy looking toy. A second later, the stranger spoke up. “Hi! You must be Brian. I’m Ellen, nice to meet you! Sorry to spring all this on you, but we’re gotta borrow Haley’s- I mean – your toys for a bit. For, well, you know, for…um…” Finishing her sentence for her, Haley spoke up. “For a ‘friendly competition… It’s Victoria’s birthday, soooo…’ For a moment, Brian looked between Ellen and Haley. “That… really doesn’t answer my question.”
At that, Haley effortlessly lifted Emma and Pri from their seats, Priya looking to Brian and giving him a halfhearted shrug as if to say “Sorry, guess we’re being borrowed.” A second later, Haley was guiding the girls by their arms and starting to walk away as she frantically blurted out a lighthearted apology to her boyfriend. “Sorry-babe, enjoy-the-movie, see-you-later-love-you-byeeeeee,” the witch’s words trailed off as she quickly got further away. Not even a second later, she had zoomed off with the girls, Ellen looking between the witch and Brian before waving goodbye cheerfully and darting off to follow Haley, her panda doll flopping with each skip Ellen took to catch up. Now, in relative silence and sitting alone at the table where he was with his dolls not even a minute ago, Brian blinked a few times as he tried to understand the events that just occurred. After a moment of thinking, he found himself speaking aloud to no one in particular. “What…what the hell just happened?”
---
After a quick escape and Ellen following close behind her, Haley let out a sigh, finding herself dipping into a toy store not too far from where the food court was and still half dragging the girls behind her in each hand. The whole time, Emma and Priya were looking to each other with more than a few giggles, a bit confused by the situation but also enjoying the sporadic nature of everything too. Admittedly, after spending so long as Haley’s dolls, the two were kind of used to being pulled along by her on a whim.
Looking around, the store they found themselves in was lined with dark wooden shelves each, all laid out upon a thick red carpet underneath their feet. Each shelf was lined with a different array of toys, some lined with modern dolls and toys of all kinds, while others were filled to capacity with dozens of stuffed animals. Not paying the contents of the store much mind though, Haley bustled through the entrance and made her way to the back of the store, Ellen coming in a second after and hustling to follow them.
A moment later, the four of them found themselves in the back aisles of the store, with their only company being the various stuffed toys that lined the shelves there. Still giggling to themselves, Emma and Priya looked to Haley as she finally let go of them, catching her breath from the escape before finally introducing them to the girl with the panda plush in her arms. “Sorry about that, guys. Anyway, girls, meet Ellen. Ellen, meet my dolls.” At that, Ellen reached down to puppet Stacy to wave hello to the fellow toys, the girls smirking at the display before Priya looked between the stranger and her owner. “Nice to meet you,” she started, not skipping a beat before turning to Haley. “So then, why again are you abducting us from our day at the movies?”
In response, Haley reached down to her boot, hopping on one leg as she finessed her wand out of her other bootstrap. Finally planting both feet on the ground, Haley looked to Priya and then Emma, who was too busy toying with the panda plush in Ellen’s arms to notice her owner. Replying anyway, Haley began to twirl her wand in her fingers. “Long story short, I need to win a contest to turn Victoria into a doll by turning you two into dolls. Makes sense, right?” If anything, she was a bit more confused now, but before Priya could even reply, the dark haired girl watched as Haley turned her wand on Emma, who hadn’t really even bothered to pay attention to the commotion playing out beside her.
In a second, Emma shot up straight, the girl immediately taking on the familiar qualities of a vixen that she usually possessed. As the effects began to take hold, Emma finally turned her attention from the panda plush in Ellen’s arms to her owner, giving her a wry smile before speaking up. “Hey, thanks for the heads up, Hales” she joked to Haley as she felt the all too familiar effects of magic coursing through her system.
In what seemed like an instant, Emma began to shift from everyday girl enjoying the mall to a literal fox of a woman, a pair of orange furred ears popping through her hair as her green eyes widened a bit. In the matter of seconds, she began to take on more animalistic features, her hands beginning to resemble paws as her face took on the appearance of a slight muzzle, though with an apparent grin over Emma’s face. She never did get over how intoxicating it felt to be turned into a doll. A moment later, similar plush fur began to arise all over the girl’s skin, though as Ellen watched the transformation occur in front of her, she could tell that it wasn’t quite real fur: instead, she could see that Emma’s skin and in turn her fur were taking on a plush fabric texture, visible stitched seams appearing along the girl’s sides. These changes seemed to rush all over Emma’s body, seemingly coursing from her new fox ears downwards until it covered her whole body.
As the transformation seemed to slow down, Emma had turned into a life sized plush doll in the matter of seconds, the fox girl only recognizable from the human Ellen had just met by her bright green eyes and the sundress she wore. Things didn’t stop there though; all of a sudden, the doll seemed to shrink instantaneously. In the blink of an eye, Emma went from a full sized girl standing on two wobbly stuffed legs to standing only a foot or two tall, the girl’s slender form suspended in midair for just a moment before beginning to fall. Ellen, with her eyes going wide for a second, reacted just as quickly and reached out to catch the fox doll as she fell instinctively, almost dropping Stacy in the process. As her mind caught up to her reaction, Ellen looked between Haley and the newly made doll that fit neatly in her hand, examining the vixen for a moment as a giddy smile arose over her face.
Looking over Emma, the toy now inanimate with her plush frame pressing up against Ellen’s hands for support, the magic user couldn’t help but swoon slightly. The 1/3rd scale doll was undeniable adorable, the flesh and blood girl having been turned into a handheld fox doll all under the span of a minute. Wrapped within Ellen’s fingers, Emma drooped slightly in the girl’s grasp, her mouth open in a dollish smile as her head rolled over to the side. The rest of the doll’s body was covered in a soft orange fur, save for some spots of white and black on her tail, ears and paws. Regardless of the color, the vixen’s body was plush even despite her size, her fur being smooth to the touch with the soft give of stuffing coming from within her fabric body.
Emma was used to being manhandled, but she never did get over how people looked at her when they held her for the first time, the doll loving how Ellen looked at her as she held her up to her gaze. Admittedly a little taken with the doll, Ellen did her best to compose herself as not to seem like Haley had impressed her, though she did subtly fawn over the fox for a few seconds before speaking up to Haley in a contained tone. “Well….. She is adorable…” She started, looking into Emma’s now inanimate eyes before quickly firing back at the other witch. “That doesn’t mean you win though! What else you got?”
Haley, without skipping a beat, turned her wand to Priya, who crossed her arms and looked to the witch with a sarcastic expression. “Well then? ‘What else you got,’ Haley?” she spoke up, toying with her owner as she anticipated the transformation that was about to occur. Before she could react, Priya let out a slight ‘Ooh!’ as she felt Haley wrap an arm around her waist, lifting the girl off her feet and pulling her into a quick twirl.
She had to admit, she was not expecting that from her owner, but as she was spun around by Haley, she felt a familiar feeling take hold. All at once, her skin began to take on an artificial sheen, though instead of the usual appearance of silicon that the doll usually had, Priya’s skin began to resemble a high quality plastic instead. With her surprise giving way to a reluctant grin, Priya felt as her body changed with each twirl around her owner, her frame taking on a stiffer definition each time. As the already shorter girl began to shrink, Pri could feel her various joints begin to pop as distinct ball joints began to appear at her wrists, knees, elbows, and even at the base of her head. As her grin became hardened across her face, Priya felt that even her hair took on an artificial sheen as Haley slowed her spinning, taking her new shrunken plastic frame in her hand and quickly posing her before finally stopping to face Ellen. There, sitting in Haley’s palm, was Priya, fully turned into a realistic ball-jointed doll and posed playfully with her legs draped over the side of her owner’s hand.
Leaning into get a better look at the articulated doll, Ellen could see that it was almost as if Haley had simply shrunken the girl down; save for the clear lines where her joints were connected, the toy was incredibly lifelike, the permanent smirk on the doll’s face not too far off from the expression she had seen on the real girl just moments before. Admiring the doll for a moment more, Ellen pursed her lips slightly. ‘Damn, I’m really going to have to show up Haley after this.’ Picking up on her expression, Haley wrapped her free hand around Priya’s waist and let the doll fall to her side as she spoke up. “So, do I win the bet yet?”
Though she did want to stop if only to play around with the newly made dolls for a bit, Ellen shook it off and put on a new expression of conviction. “Not even close!” She started, lifting her hand with Emma still in it to point a finger at the other witch, the fox doll swaying a bit in her grasp at the movement. “We’re not done yet, I have two more toys to pick up and then we can go pick up my Victoria doll.” At that, the two began to make their way back out to the store’s entrance, prepared to head back to the car for one last pitstop. As they made their way through the door, a voice rang out from behind the counter. “Hey! You gonna pay for those?” Confused, Haley and Ellen looked to each other, then to the girl behind the register, and then finally to the number of toys in their hands. Under their breath, the two mumbled in unison. “dammit…”
After reluctantly paying for toys that they had made themselves, Haley and Ellen found themselves back in the car, and eventually after a short drive from the mall, the two were already pulling up to their last stop. As Haley went to park, Ellen found herself looking to the backseat of the car with a grin at the growing pile of toys that were placed back there. Stacy, originally having been sat up in the car seat, had flopped over on her side from one turn or another, while Emma and Priya were sprawled out beside her (Emma slumped limply on her stomach over Stacy, Pri retaining the last pose Haley had left her in but tipped over on her side.) Finally getting out of the car, Ellen was quick to scoop up all three toys, taking Stacy by one of her plush arms and pressing the other two dolls together to hold them in one hand. Playfully tossing the panda plush to Haley, the witch catching the toy with a smirk, Haley was quick to follow behind Ellen as she led her to their last destination. “This should be fun,” she mused aloud, talking to the Stacy doll in her grasp.
