For years, Mark was never much of a fan of online dating. Between the shallow overtones and general hook-up culture surrounding most popular apps like Tinder, he did his best to avoid them while he could, but a little over half way through his college career he found himself with one such app downloaded on his phone all the same. Originally, he had it if only to get his friends off of his back for not having dated since freshman year, but over time he couldn’t help but admit it was nice being able to at very least to see messages come in from people he’d matched with as well as sending some flirts himself when he was bored. For the most part, he took the whole thing very casually, not too seriously in the slightest. And yet, Mark currently sat at a table for two, waiting for a girl he’d never met before to walk through the front door of the small, college town restaurant he found himself in.

Caroline, a shorter, bright blue-eyed girl with short curly blonde hair had matched with him barely 2 weeks ago. Initially, she was the one to message him first, nervously flirting with Mark in an attempt to break the ice. Flattered, Mark eagerly replied, sparking a conversation between the two of them that lasted a little over the week. As far as he could tell, Caroline was fairly innocent; on the app for the same reasons he was and truthfully not the hook-up type, but despite both stating their less-than-serious intentions on the dating app, interest between the two didn’t take long to evolve past causal banter. Before long, Mark built up the nerve to ask her to dinner, which she happily agreed to. Now that Mark was waiting for her to arrive though, he couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous. After all, aside from texting for a week, the girl was a stranger to him. Fiddling with his phone, he opened the dating app once more and opened Caroline’s profile. All and all, the profile was relatively normal; various pictures of her and her friends, some general interests, but what caught Mark’s eye was the profile description that Caroline herself wrote; there were three simple words that he still didn’t quite understand despite having read over it multiple times. “Doll Seeking Owner.”

Evidently, the phrase meant that Caroline was a “doll” looking for an “owner,” but in truth he had no idea what that meant. Be it a reference to something he was unfamiliar with or a joke he didn’t quite understand, Mark couldn’t help but think it was an odd thing to have as the only description Caroline had on her profile. Lost in thought over it all, heard a light voice call out from just in front of him. “Um..Hey? Mark?” Snapping to attention, Mark closed his phone and looked up, his gaze meeting a pair of bright blue eyes looking back at him. It was Caroline.

Getting up to greet her, he couldn’t help but admire the girl he found himself with. She was dressed in a light blue top with a pair of slim-fitting jeans, conforming to the slight frame of the girl. She had a neat, put together look about her, her hair pulled back as well as it being evident that she had put time into applying a subtle amount of make-up which only seemed to emphasize her feminine physic. Admittedly, Mark couldn’t help but smile at her, Caroline bashfully returning the gesture as she dropped her gaze and ran a hand along her neck. ‘A girl who actually looks like, if not better, than her online profile. First time for everything I suppose,’ Mark mused to himself internally as the two sat down.
As they waited to order, conversation between the two started slowly at first. Both had an air of nervousness about them, a combination of being dropped in a new experience as well as evidently trying to impress one another. Though generic at first, each asking questions about each other’s work, classes they were taking, things seemed to pick up quite naturally before long, finding similar grounds in their taste in music as well as few hobbies. By the time their food came out, things seemed to flow between them almost naturally, though ordering a drink or two prior didn’t hurt. Shared interests led to the two of them joking between each other, which in turn led to some mild flirting between the pair as well. Pausing for a second to eat, Mark’s mind flickered back to Caroline’s profile, thinking to himself now was a good a time as ever to solve his personal mystery behind her biography. “So, by the way, what exactly did you mean by “Doll seeking owner” on your profile?” he asked light-heartedly, taking a sip from his drink as he did. Immediately, Caroline seemed to turn bashful once more, a similar nervousness from earlier in the night returning to her. “Ohh, yeah, that…” she started, biting her lip looking off for a second as if to think. “Let’s just say ‘Doll’ is kinda an old nickname of mine? Something of a joke between some old friends, because….” She paused. “Because they think I look like one? Something like that.” Seemingly content with her answer, Caroline looked to Mark who chuckled at her less than clear explanation. Shrugging, Mark took another sip from his drink before replying coyly with a flirt. “Well, you’re definitely pretty enough to be a doll at least.”

As the night came to a close, Mark couldn’t help but be pleasantly surprised by the whole ordeal. Walking Caroline to her car, he found himself actually liking the girl beside him more than he expected, pausing for a moment as the two of them came up to her spot in the parking lot. Leaning on the end of the car and turning to her, the pair just continued to talk for a while, the two of them trying to ignore the fact the date was coming to a close. “Well, I liked this, honestly. Don’t typically go for this kind of thing, buuut I wouldn’t be against doing something like this again if you’re interested.” Mark started, Caroline smiling shyly at the comment. Trying to pass off as unphased despite her excitement at the prospect of a second date, she leaned against her car as well, looking to him. “Yeah, I…uh, I wouldn’t mind that.” She replied, her smile still breaking through her lips. At that, Mark leaned in, kissing her lightly for a second before getting up to go, leaving Caroline with her lips parted in a dreamy smile, lost in the moment temporarily. Grinning at this, Mark joked to her as he walked away, turning to face her “Well, until then, Doll.”

From there, that night became one of many, the two spending a movie night together the next week and regularly seeing each other after that point. With each date, they only seemed to become more comfortable with one another, getting deeper into one another’s personalities as they truly got to know one another. Caroline’s shy nature was apparent, a little bit less open to share some details with him over time, but despite this Mark still managed to see a lot of who she was all the same. As far as he could tell, she was an inherently sweet girl, very conscious of her words and actions while always seeming to make an effort to keep up her put-together nature. Though her bashfulness usually gave her away, she always attempted to stay cool during Mark’s regular flirting with her, though usually this demeanor fell apart as soon as his lips met hers. “You kind of do turn into a doll when we’re together; that composed façade of yours seems to melt and you just fall into my hands,” Mark joked with her one night as the two were in for the night, watching some movie they’d found on TV. Hugging her from behind, Mark pulled her closer to him on the couch with ease. Caroline seemed to relax in his grasp, all but affirming what he just said. With a contented sigh, she looked up to him, giving him a peck on the lips before resting her frame against his. “Well, looks like this doll found her owner then.” She said, a certain sincerity behind her words. At that, Mark found himself relaxing as well, thinking over her statement as he glanced back to the movie. ‘I’d prefer being called boyfriend, but that’s a start.’

Before long, weeks turned to months, and despite them all but dating already, neither of them had every really brought up the topic of what label to put on the two of them. Mark had known for a while that he wanted to date her, but he never could find the right time to ask her properly. Besides, the two of them now regularly were around each other most days of the week, and just as regularly deeply intimate as well, it being no uncommon thing for Caroline to end up in Mark’s bed at the end of the night; their relationship was lacking nothing but a title. The two of them did manage to find some interesting pet-names for each other at very least. For some time, Mark had gotten into the habit of calling Caroline ‘doll’, a name that she still seemed to swoon after being called even after all this time. To match, she’d started calling Mark ‘owner’ on occasion as well in response. Though she was always certain to add a sarcastic or joking tone to the title, Mark could tell she got a certain pleasure out of calling him that as well, especially in bed. For the first time in a while, Mark was perfectly content, happy to be in a relationship with a girl he was slowly falling in love with. With that in mind, Mark was certain he had to make it official with her.

On a Friday night, the two of them found themselves at a house party together, enjoying the evening with some mutual friends as well as each other. As it started to get late, it was clear both of them were eager to get some time to themselves, Mark casually flirting with her over the course of the party. With ample alcohol in his system, he pulled Caroline aside, the two of them resting against the wall. It seemed like as good a time as any to try to make things official. Leaning in, Mark spoke up, barely audible over the music and buzz of talking happening around them. “You know, Caroline…. I kind of like you,” he blurted out, Caroline blushing as her gaze moved to the floor. “Well, aren’t you sweet,” she started in response, inching a bit closer to him. “I kind of like you too, you know.” Mark grinned, preparing his next question in his head before Caroline stopped him short. “Mark, I have something I want to give you,” she continued, Mark looking to her inquisitively, raising his eyebrow as if to ask “what?” With a smirk, she spoke up. “I’ll give it to you tomorrow; for now, let’s enjoy the party, ok?” Before Mark could say another word he felt Caroline’s small hand grab his, tugging him back into the other room to rejoin the party. Truth be told, he couldn’t remember much from that night after that point.

The morning after, Mark woke up in bed at his apartment. The daylight shined through his window shades, causing him to groggily sit up in his bed, looking to the clock as he did. It was noon already; Mark somehow managing to have slept through half of the day. A split second later a sharp headache, evidently caused by one drink too many the night before, shot through his body, Mark falling back onto his pillow with a slight moan. Rolling over to his side, he looked beside him, expecting to see Caroline curled up under the sheets, but instead there was only a pillow he had apparently had wrapped his arm around for most of the night. A top the pillow, there was a small post-it note, with Caroline’s signature marking the bottom of it. Picking it up, it took Mark longer to read it than he’d like to admit, his mind still half asleep and thoroughly hungover. “Mark, You’re surprisingly easy to take care of when you’re drunk. You needed some beauty sleep so I tucked you in and headed back to my place for the night. I’ll see you soon though; I have that gift for you and something tells me you’re going to love it. Xoxo, -Caroline.”

Smiling at the note, Mark set it down before feeling tempted to go back to sleep, begrudgingly forcing himself to get up less he waste even more of the day. Going through his morning routine, got ready for the day, planning on spending the rest of the Saturday relaxing while he could before seeing Caroline later that day. With a cup of coffee in hand, he finally started to get back to his right mind, flipping through his phone before hearing  his roommate call to him from the living room. “Hey Mark, mail for you!” Groaning slightly, dead certain it was going to be bills as it usually was, Mark walked into the other room with coffee mug still in hand before stopping in his tracks, his groggy eyes opening fully for the first time this morning. There, his roommate Anthony was standing in the middle of the room, a small pile of letters in hand, but beside him was a massive cardboard box. Standing almost as tall as him, the box was quite plain, the only distinguishing marks on the box being a line of packing tape keeping it all sealed, a couple of “Fragile” stamps, and a mailing address in the top left corner. Even from there, Mark could make out it was his name on the box; it was addressed for him.

Walking up and setting down his mug on the table, he looked over the box before looking to his friend. “Where did this come from?” Mark asked, Anthony looking to him with a shrug. “Mail man dropped it off just now; No return address either; I don’t know what you’ve been ordering online but I’ll leave you to it.” Dropping a few bills addressed to Mark on the table, Anthony left to head back to his room, leaving him alone in the living room with the package.

Tapping the box with his hand gently, it rocked back and forth slightly, whatever was inside evidently being fairly light. Confused as ever, Mark took the box and lowered horizontally to the floor, soon after sliding it along the carpet towards his room. After struggling to get it through the door, he lifted the package onto his bed, leaving it here as he searched the room for something to open it with. With scissors in hand, Mark closed his door behind him, walking up to the box as he cut a line down the center of the packing tape. As he cut the last strip of tape, the box gently opened partially, Mark opening it the rest of the way before looking inside. Initially, all he could see was a sea of Styrofoam packaging filling the box to its brim, but as he slid his hands into the box and felt around, his hands came in contact with something soft. Lifting it half way from the box, Mark stepped back and stood there silently for a moment unsure of what to think. There, now sitting up, was an incredibly realistic, life-sized doll which perfectly resembled Caroline.

After pausing with a deep level of confusion overtaking him, Mark slowly reapproached the box and the plaything within. Trying to make sense of it all, Mark nervously chuckled, running a hand through the toy’s hair. “I get it, you’re a Caroline doll; because of her nickname.” He spoke to the doll, doing his best to make sense of the situation. With a gentle smile on the doll’s face, it was astounding how much the fabric doll resembled the girl he’d been seeing for weeks. Though looking off blankly where Mark had left her, her eyes were the same shade of bright blue, her hair the same length, color, and even curliness as Caroline’s; the doll’s face even had the same subtle make-up that she usually adorned, though in this case the make-up seemed to be part of the doll’s fabric. Lifting the doll from the box and placing her on the bed, Mark was surprised at how light her frame was, feeling the gentle give of fabric and cotton in his grasp as he lifted her under her armpits. Dropping the box to the floor, he couldn’t bothered with the packaging that now sparsely covered his floor, his attention whole-heartedly on the doll. Stepping up to her, he looked into the doll’s blue eyed gaze, which was slightly cocked to the side as her head lolled to the right. Taking her by the chin and leveling out her head, the doll stayed where she was positioned, seemingly eager for Mark to examine her. Looking over the rest of the doll’s form, Mark found himself progressively even more amazed at the level of detail in the toy. The doll’s skin was the same light shade of the girl he knew, even having the occasional freckle where he remembered Caroline having on her neck and chest. The doll’s seams were barely noticeable, seemingly woven so they could only be found under close inspection.

Following the seams down from her neck to her shoulders, Mark looked over what the toy was wearing. Admittedly, even the outfit wasn’t too far from what Caroline would normally wear, though it took on a slightly more dollish take to her usual style. Covering her neck down to her thighs, the doll had a light blue dress that resembled what Caroline had worn on their first date. The top left the light cloth of her shoulders exposed, leaving the length of the toy’s arms bare, while the frill of the dress seemed to purposefully accent the doll’s chest, a feature Mark couldn’t help but take a second to admire. At her waist, the dress was pulled close to Caroline Doll’s frame by a white bow, making the doll almost look like a present. Below, the dress ended well above her knees, with most of her legs covered by a pair of stripped blue knee socks as well, a pair of simple black slippers adorning her feet. “So… I guess you’re the gift that Caroline was talking about then, right?” Mark asked, walking slowly up to the doll before resting his hands on her waist. As he did, he was surprised when he felt a certain familiarity to the toy’s touch. If only to explore the doll further, he ran his hands along her, feeling the gentle curves that he’d come to know so well from his time with Caroline. “Either you’re the most accurate doll that’s even been made…or” Mark started to say before stopping short. From the doll’s hand, a small rolled up piece of paper seemed to fall from her fingers to the floor beside the bed, almost as if she was responding to Mark’s statement. Glancing down, he could see the note had Caroline’s handwriting scribed over it. All he could see was one word: Instructions.

Lifting his hands from the doll, Mark raised the note up, unrolling the paper to read its contents. “Mark, if you’re reading this you must have gotten my gift! I knew for a while you were special, so I wanted to give you something…me! And yes, I mean me, babe. This isn’t just any old stuffed plaything, it’s actually me….” At that, Mark stopped, blinking slowly before looking back to Caroline Doll. Half expecting her to move, it actually being her in a costume or something, he was only met by the warm gaze of the doll. For a second, he was almost inclined to believe the note, the doll even giving off a familiar energy to the girl he was falling in love with beyond the uncanny resemblance. Shaking it off, Mark looked back to the letter and continued reading. “I know, I know, it’s a hard to believe, but trust me… I’ll explain everything. There’s a controller for your new toy in the box somewhere, find it and turn me on ;) –Love, Caroline.”

Finishing the note, Mark placed it on the bed, biting his lip slightly before looking between the unmoving doll and the box she came in. If he wasn’t confused before, he certainly was now. Though he was still half convinced this was a joke of some sort, Mark obliged, running his hand along the doll’s leg as he moved to the foot of the bed where he had dropped the box. Kneeling, he hesitated before sliding his hand into the packaging, rummaging around briefly before his hand came in contact with what felt like a small wooden “x”. Lifting it out, he looked over the control in his hand; it resembled a marionette control, though it was missing any strings, let alone a puppet. Standing up, Mark cocked his head to the side in confusion. “How am I supposed to turn anything on with this?” As the words turn and on left his lips, a new energy seemed to course through Caroline Doll, though Mark hardly noticed, leaning against the foot of the bed as he still examined the control, trying to see if he missed any details. “You wouldn’t happen to know what Caroline means by ‘turn you on’ by chance, would you?” Mark joked to the doll behind him, only now looking up and turning around as he got up. Now facing the bed, Mark’s eyes went wide once more. There, sitting on the bed, Caroline Doll was now facing him, cross-legged with her hands in her lap, looking to him with a gentle yet nervous smile. She spoke to him, her voice perfectly resembling Caroline’s. “Umm… I think you figured it out.”

Almost jumping in surprise, Mark stepped back, stumbling back for a second before falling onto his desk chair. With a look of shock in her eyes as well, Caroline Doll covered her face with her hands as she gasped slightly, lifting herself to her knees. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you! It’s just me!” she spoke up once more, thorough concern in her voice. Mark, frozen where he sat for a moment, slowly started to get up, walking back towards the bed with a look of shock still on his face. “Caroline? That’s you? So it is really just a costume?” he asked, reaching the foot of the bed beside her. Caroline, pausing for a few seconds as to think, inched herself closer to him before sitting herself on the foot of the bed. “No, not quite…” she said with a nervous laugh. Before Mark could reply, Caroline took his hand, lifting it to her upper chest, resting it right where her heart would be. Unsure of what she was doing, Mark only felt the soft give of fabric in his hand, with an undeniable stillness. No heartbeat, no rise and fall of her breathing, just a doll. “See? Just a doll, babe.” Caroline reassured him, hoping it was enough to convince Mark of what was happening.

A million questions seemed to race through his mind all at once. She was telling the truth; the toy he had lifted from the box just a few minutes before really was his girlfriend. With his mind racing, Mark could hardly piece together the words to his questions, but before he could even attempt Caroline Doll leaned close to him, kissing him lightly, Mark feeling the cool cloth of her lips on his. Settling his mind for a moment, he looked to the living doll on his bed. “I have a lot of explaining to do, don’t I?” She asked innocently, Mark nodding in affirmation. Inching her way to the backboard of the bed, Caroline propped herself up on a pillow, motioning for Mark to follow. Joining her on the bed, Mark did the same, Caroline quick to cuddle up to him. Though still horribly confused, Mark couldn’t deny that feeling her rest her head on his chest, draping her arm and leg over him, was soothing. “So… I guess I’ll start at the beginning,” Caroline started, looking up to Mark. As if to reassure her, Mark rested his arm around her frame, feeling plush skin of the doll.

Caroline, sighing deeply, started her story. “A while back, like in high school, I knew this girl, Haley. She was a good friend of mine, but she was different from other girls. She was…well….she was a witch.” Mark closed his eyes for a second; barely a sentence into her story he already found himself in disbelief, but then again his girlfriend was currently a living doll, so he forced himself to take her words as truth as Caroline continued. “We were pretty close back then, we still even talk now, so she never really hid her magic from me. She always seemed to have fun with it while she could, using magic around me all the time, but then one day she decided to introduce me to one of her passions; transforming people into things. She turned our one friend into a cat once, another into a dress for her to wear to prom, but turning people into dolls and toys was always her favorite. One weekend, her parents were out of town so she invited me over for a sleepover. We didn’t have anything too wild planned; just a movie night and talking about high school gossip, but half way through the night, we were in her room when we heard someone come through the front door. I can’t even remember why but her parents came home a night early, but what I do remember was Haley knowing they’d be pissed if they found out she was having people over while they were gone without telling them. I turned to Haley to ask her what I should do but Haley already had a plan. Before I knew it, she had a wand pointed at me and in a second her bedroom seemed to grow massive, or I guess I shrank down, in a second. I fell to her bed, shocked and confused as to why I couldn’t move, but then I felt Haley reach down and pick me up. I could fit in her hand. From her mirror in the corner, I could see she turned me into a doll, a small stitched smile on my face. A second later there was a knock at her door and her parents came in, Haley quickly shoving me down her shirt just to make sure her parents didn’t notice anything out of place. At first I was horrified, pissed that Haley would turn me into an object without even asking me. For a while all I could do was listen to the conversation between her and her parents, my dollified body stuck between Haley’s breasts, but after they left the room Haley took me back out in a second. I was yelling internally, but then Haley lifted me up in her hands, breathing a sigh of relief. Looking in my eyes, she smiled… I don’t think I’ll ever forget that look she gave me. ‘Caroline, you make an adorable doll, you know that?’ she joked to me, but it was clear she meant it. My heart just kind of melted… All of a sudden I wasn’t trapped as an object… I was safe, loved in the hands of my owner. For the rest of the weekend, she kept me as a doll, playing with me, cuddling up to me when she went to bed, even propping me up on her bed with some other dolls when she had to go do things with her parents. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love it from the start.”

“After that, I let Haley turn me into a doll most every time we were alone together. I trusted her so much, loved her even, letting myself belong to her as a toy as much as I could. Haha, I actually had my first kiss as a doll too, Haley making a habit of playing with me in some different kinds of ways when we were in our senior year. Some of my happiest memories were as her plaything. Eventually though, we graduated, and we both had plans to go to different colleges. At that point I begged her to take me with her; I already knew I’d be happy just being her doll, but Haley didn’t want to see as just another toy in her collection. She hugged me for what felt like forever, telling me I’d find someone better someday, and she left. Life went on, we both went our separate ways, but I never did stop wanting that relationship with someone again. After some research, I even found some place called “The Doll Shoppe” that sells magic that can turn people into dolls. Let’s just say it didn’t take long for me to buy one of their potions… Honestly after I bought one, it took everything I had not to use it right away, but I didn’t just want my roommates to come home one night to find a doll resembling me on the couch one night, right? Knowing them they’d probably just sell me online; no, I didn’t just want someone to own me, I wanted to belong to someone… Kind of hard to find someone like that as a doll, right?…. So I promised myself I’d find myself an owner someday, but they’d have to be perfect… I’d have to trust them, feel at home with them…love them.” At that, Caroline looked to Mark, who listened intently. “I think I found my owner, Mark… but he needs to want me to belong to him too.”

For a while, Mark was silent. It was a lot to take in at very least. Joking to break up some of his own tension, he broke the silence after a moment. “Wish I’d heard that story when you were still flesh and blood.” Embarrassed, Caroline seemed to curl inwards, burring her face in Mark’s chest. “I know, I know, I’m sorry… but you never would have believed me.” Honestly, she was right. Even now, part of Mark still was under the impression this was some drug fueled dream caused by the night before. Running a hand through her now artificial hair, Mark tried to help calm her down as he frantically tried to think things through. ‘She really wants me to keep her like this? To own her? To treat her like a doll?’ Admittedly, the prospect of owning the beautiful girl, or doll rather, that was cuddled up to him was beyond enticing, but Mark reminded himself that deep down she wasn’t just some toy to own; she was a girl he loved.

If only to bide for time, he asked a few more questions; how did she mail herself to his place? “I had my best friend mail me here…she knows about all this.” How did the control work? “I got it from the same place I got the potion, thought it would be nice to be animate when you wanted me to be…same magic as the potion, I guess.” Mark rattled off a dozen more questions, Caroline Doll truthfully answering each one. Before long though, Caroline let out a deep sigh, realizing that Mark was avoiding telling her his answer, if he would keep her. Breaking from her embrace, she rolled to the other side of the bed, facing the wall as she shied away from him. She spoke gently, sincerely. “Mark, I know this is a lot, but I thought you’d be ok with this… I wouldn’t have given myself to you if I didn’t think deep down you’d want this too…..You don’t have to keep me if you don’t have to.. I don’t want to force this on you. That potion I took… it was permanent, I’m just a doll now… I’ve wanted this for so long, but I’ll only be your doll if you want me to be.” Mark didn’t know what to say. He loved the girl beside him, but he never expected things to go like this. Beginning to speak up, he stopped short as Caroline slowly got up, stepping off the bed on to the floor. Caroline took the marionette control in her hand, turning to face Mark before letting out a sad sigh. “Sell me to a collector, give me as a gift to your kid sister, or if you love me…keep me. I’m yours, Mark. Yours to do with what you want.” At that, Caroline lifted the control slightly, whispering ‘off’ under her breath. Immediately, she buckled at her knees, falling inanimate to the floor as she fell back slightly, her body being propped up against the wall.

Jumping from the bed, Mark looked down at Caroline in surprise. There, she sat with the same dollish expression she had when he had taken her out of the box, and just as inanimate as well. Through all of his uncertainty, his confusion, his doubt, what he needed to became clear as he looked down at her. Kneeling to her, Mark didn’t fully understand yet, but he did know he loved the girl, or the doll in front of him. “Caroline, this is going to take some getting used to, but don’t think for a second I’d ever give you up. I…I guess you really can start calling me owner now, because I don’t want you to belong to anyone else.” Lifting her light frame to him, Mark kissed her deeply. Holding her closely to him, Mark stood up, bringing the doll back to the bed.

Laying her over the top of the bed, his doubts seemed to give way, seeing things as Caroline did. He really did own this work of art laid out on his bed, his own Caroline Doll. She looked up to him from the bed with the stitched smile of a toy, but looking into her blue eyes he could tell what she felt. She wanted to be his, she wanted to belong to him, she wanted to be played with by him, and now, she could. Running his hands through her hair, he kissed her once more. All at once, he felt the passion the two had shared time and time again before, but stronger. Pressing himself against her on the bed, he ran his hands along her plush frame, quick undo the ribbon around her waist and lift her blue dress over her head. As the dress came off with ease, Caroline Doll fall back to the bed with a gentle flop, her arms falling from over her head out to her sides and her hair sprawled out behind her head as well. Sliding off her shoes as well, the doll was wearing nothing but her knee socks and a matching pair of blue underwear, which evidently displayed that the doll before him had all the parts Caroline did. Gliding his hand up the smooth cloth of her thigh, Mark felt that both holes were there, and with another kiss he felt there was part between her lips as well, the doll’s mouth intact instead of being stitched over. Smirking to himself, Mark couldn’t help but tease his new doll. “You know, I grew out of playing with dolls a long time ago, but something tells me you might be some fun to play with.” At that, Mark effortlessly flipped the doll onto her stomach, leaving her ass in the air as he undid her bra and slid off her panties.

Caroline, unable to move an inch, was in ecstasy; any worry that Mark didn’t want to keep her disappeared as she felt his hands run over her now bare frame, playfully teasing her curves. She almost felt tempted to turn around and kiss him passionately right there, but she reminded herself that good dolls only move when told to move, Mark having to turn her on with the control once more to have her anything but his plaything. Feeling Mark’s hands hoist her into the air once more, Caroline was overcome with lust as he propped her up against the backboard, her mind changing in interesting ways with every passing second she was played with. Though she was a real girl not even 24 hours ago, Caroline already found herself referring to Mark solely as owner, herself as Caroline Doll as well. With her worries gone, the only thing she could seem to focus on was the enticing feeling of being posed by her owner and thinking in her mind “I’ve wanted this for so long. Play with your dolly.” At that, Mark quickly undressed, Caroline silently begging as he inched towards her on the bed. All at once, Mark slid his member between the doll’s lips, sending Caroline into a state of bliss. Feeling as he slid deeper and deeper into her mouth, she probably would have gagged if she was still flesh and blood, but instead all she could feel was how good it felt to have him inside her as a doll after all this time, his warmth coursing through her cotton-filled head. As he reached the back of her mouth, Caroline once and for all was Caroline Doll, her desires turning towards pleasing her owner as she fully accepted her new life, and she loved it.

Gripping her hair tightly, Mark positioned the dolls hands to hold the base of his shaft as he bobbed the toy’s head up and down atop him. Mark had wondered about owning a sex doll in the past, but feeling the cloth interior of his girlfriend’s mouth around him as he puppeted her frame was more than he’d ever expected. Sliding out of her lips, Mark let Caroline fall lifelessly to the backboard of the bed, a contented look on the playthings face. Mark was anything but done though. Moving down the bed, he took the doll by her ankles and pulled her to him, Caroline’s arms ending up above her head as Mark leaned over her. Taking the control, which had fallen from her hands onto the bed beside them, Mark began to slide into her sex as he whispered “turn on” to the doll. All at once, Caroline Doll sprang to life, gasping deeply and closing her eyes as he slid into her once more. After a second to get her bearings, she looked up to her owner with a satisfied grin, locking her gaze with his. “Owner… you’re going to keep me after all?” She asked playfully, already certain of his answer. Smiling, Mark pulled her close to him, turning the two of them so that she was on top. Kissing her deeply, Mark answered honestly. “You’re my doll, Caroline. Nobody else’s.”

Helping along with her new found mobility, Caroline positioned herself atop him and began to thrust against her owner. The two would be lying if it wasn’t the best sex they’d had in the time they had known each other, the dynamic they shared almost seamlessly crossing over to the relationship of doll and her master. Seemingly having dreamt about this day before, Caroline did her best to be the perfect doll; she followed Mark’s pace perfectly, avidly letting him positon her in anyway he wanted, even talking dirty to him every chance she could, whispering in his ear “I’m yours now, owner. You can play with me however you want, whenever you want, and I’ll love it.” Before long, both of them began to reach their limits, Mark thrusting deeply into the doll before coming, Caroline quickly following en suit. With her head cocked back in satisfaction, she seemed to relax all at once, slowly falling flat atop her owner with a look of bliss on her face. With his doll laid out over him, Mark took a few minutes to catch his breath, still inside her, before turning to look to Caroline. There, she was inanimate once more, her cloth frame returning to a state of any old doll, though where her expression was one of an innocent, dollish smile prior, now her face was one of satisfaction, her lips fully parted, face flushed, and eyes closed. Smirking, Mark pulled his doll tight, resting for a moment before getting up to clean up, bringing some towels to do the same to his now inert girlfriend.

Dressing his doll back up in the clothes she came with, Mark posed her with her knees buckled outwards on the bed, her arms straight down as to push out her chest. ‘Only seems fitting to match that expression of hers’ Mark though devilishly, pulling her hair back into a braid before getting dressed himself. Resting the control in her hands, Mark glanced to the clock, embarrassingly realizing that despite getting lost in their own world it was still only the afternoon. Checking his phone, he had missed more than a few calls from friends, all asking him if he was deciding to show up to the pre-game for a party later that night. With a sigh, he looked to his doll, half wishing he could just go back to bed and cuddle up with her. Despite everything though, he decided it might be best to actually leave the house today, even with everything that had happened. Lifting himself up to the bed, he gave Caroline a kiss goodbye, explaining that he’d be back later that night. He felt a bit bad about leaving her alone like this, but quickly he reminded himself that she was a doll now. After all, she did say she enjoyed decorating her owner’s bed. Truthfully, Caroline Doll didn’t mind in the slightest, still recovering from the intensity of being played with for the first time in years. Feeling Mark kiss her goodbye, she sighed internally, drifting off into a day dream about cuddling with her owner later, feeling her mind dive deeper into that of a toy’s.

Leaving his room, Mark locked the door behind him and walked to his living room with a smile. As he made his way to the front door, his roommate Anthony called to him from the kitchen. “Hey, Mark, so what was in the package?” Back stepping from the door to talk to him, Mark thought to himself for a second before responding. “Oh, yeah… It was just a gift from Caroline.”  In agreeance, Anthony shrugged before continuing. “Damn, must have been a hell of a gift to need a box that big. What’s the deal with you and her anyway? You guys ever going to start dating?” he asked nonchalantly. Thinking for a few more seconds, Mark replied as he made his way to the front door once more. “Yeah, it was one hell of a gift alright. And our relationship just changed a lot actually… let’s say things are complicated.”

Epilogue:

To Mark’s surprise, he got used to the idea of owning Caroline a lot quicker than he expected. After coming home drunk from the party that night, he couldn’t help but play with her again, leaving her inanimate this time if only to get a feel for how she truly was as a doll. Meanwhile, Caroline loved every second of it. By the morning after, she was fully dollified mentally, her thoughts consisting of the content mindset of a doll with a loving owner, and truthfully that was exactly what Mark was. Within a week of owning her, Mark made sure to give her the attention she deserved; even if it was different than having Caroline around when she was a real girl, he now avidly used the doll in more ways than just one. If he was just lounging around his room, he always had Caroline in his grasp or propped up, using her chest as a pillow. Just having her like that was more comfortable than Mark new was possible, though often she proved to be a bit “distracting” when he was doing homework or watching a movie, it being a common occurrence for him to take a quick break, unzipping his pants and bobbing her head up and down along his shaft for a quick blowjob. Each night as well, he naturally found himself pulling Caroline under the covers of his bed with him, one of Caroline’s new favorite uses being treated like a stuffed animal while Mark slept.

By the end of their first month as owner and doll, Mark felt like he’d owned her forever, feeling perfectly comfortable with his bed toy. After a while, he even found himself playing with Caroline Doll normally; posing her around his room (and apartment when his roommates were out,) dressing her up, and even pretending with her when he was feeling a bit more playful. Despite this, Mark still turned her ‘on’ most days, finding that having a living doll was just as fun if not more than just having Caroline inanimate around his apartment. Each time he turned her on, Caroline would spring to life, a dollish smile on her face as she greeted him with a kiss. “Hey there, owner. Have I been a good dolly?” she asked him in the same sing-song voice each time, Mark always smiling as he reassured her that she was the best doll he’d ever owned. As it turned out though, the marionette control had a lot more features than just turning Caroline Doll on and off, something Mark curiously explored over time.

Trying out different commands, the two of them soon discovered a number of different key words for the control, Caroline just as eager to explore them as he was. Over time, the pair discovered Caroline had a number of ‘modes’ after she was turned on, all available for Mark to activate. After playing around with the feature, they learned they could change how Caroline thought and acted just by changing what mode she was in, all of which Mark didn’t take long to use on her. “Maid Mode,” was one of the earlier modes they tried, Caroline quickly changing from her usual light-hearted demeanor and became passive and obedient, always asking Mark very calmly “Anything else I can do for you, Master?” Mark couldn’t help but use this feature often, having Caroline clean his room and even the apartment once in a while. With “Puppet Mode,” Mark could actually use the control as it was intended and puppet Caroline by invisible strings, her body falling limp before listening to his commands, while “Puppy Mode,” resulted in Caroline quickly dropping to the floor, playfully bounding around Mark and affectionately looking to him for attention, perfectly emulating a puppy without a hint of embarrassment from her part. Admittedly, Mark used this mode on her whenever he was bored, making a game of training his puppy over time. Each time they brought Caroline back to her normal, doll self though, she seemed a tad embarrassed, usually more shy with how outwardly affectionate she was with him, even now she was his property. All the same, Mark simply reassured her that she was adorable, her bashful expression slowly growing into a smile before hugging her owner.

With weeks turning to months, Mark’s feelings for the doll never tended to wane, keeping Caroline close to him as he could all the way up to graduation from college. Finished with school, Mark took a job fairly far from home, his work taking him to the West Coast soon after his time in college. As he packed up his apartment, he had most everything packed away neatly into a series of moving boxes, ready for his drive across the country. Well, most everything. Still on his bed, amidst the stripped bedroom, Caroline Doll sat with her usual bright smile against the wall. Taking her from the bed, he supported her waist with his forearm, propping the doll up against him as he looked in her eyes. Joking, he spoke up. “So, I’m not sure how much room we have left in the trunk of my car, soooo I might just have to leave you here at college. I’m sure the next guy to rent out this room would love to find you waiting here.” All of a sudden, Caroline pursed her lips, becoming animate as she playfully punched him in the arm. “Come on, you wouldn’t leave your favorite doll behind, would you?” She joked back, giving him a peck on the lips. Smiling, Mark lifted the control in his hands, giving her a kiss back. “Never. You know what? I think I know where I can keep you.” At that, he activated the control and Caroline stood up on her own, following behind him out the front door of the apartment. Stepping outside, Caroline remembered how long it’d been since she left the apartment, since she’d been his toy. Following her owner to his car, Mark opened the passenger door for her, Caroline getting in before falling limp with her dollish expression, just a toy one more. Mark, not even caring if he was seen with a living doll as he entered his car, started the engine, driving onto the main road as the morning sun illuminated the skin of the doll beside him. Glancing to her, he smiled, off to start his new life with the favorite thing he owned in his passenger seat. He never knew he’d be happier with Caroline as his doll than his girlfriend.
