[Aaron]

Meanwhile...

“Where is Akira?” Jackie asked. “ I thought he was right behind us.”
“Where are we even?” I asked.
The others looked around and noticed that we were officially lost just like I figured.
“Let’s walk back,” Euan said, suggesting what we should do.
We started walking back but something was along our way back and I knew we weren’t going back the way we came. In front of us was ruins of a building of some sort. All that was lft of the building was parts of the walls and a few pieces of broken and dusty furniture that could be seen from where we were standing. It was so difficult to tell which way was which since the scenery was so much alike. I walked on ahead into the ruins of the building and found a human skeleton that looked centuries old on the floor of the ruined building.
“Hey guys, come look at this,” I called put to the others.
The others came running to where I was and looked at the skeleton that I was pointing to. Then I saw a rusty box of some sort clutched tightly in the skeleton’s hands.
“That’s a human skeleton,” Roy said, stating what I already knew. “What is it holding though?”
I walked up toward the skeleton and pried the box from the skeleton’s hands. I tried opening the box but couldn’t and noticed on odd looking lock an the box with a button beside it. I pressed the button thinking it might release the lock and the box suddenly shined. When it stopped shining, the box was no longer rusty and appeared to be brand new.
“So how to we open it?” Doug asked.
As soon as the word “open” left Doug’s lips the box popped open revealing it’s contents to us.
“Now that was easy,” Thomas said.
“Too easy if you ask me,” I said, a little suspicious.
In the metallic box was some sort of device that I have never before seen in my life. There was a half crystal sphere on the left side of what appeared to me a type of screen, they were connected through a thick wire running between them. The half crystal sphere flickered as I touched the screen and an image appeared above the half crystal sphere. The image looked awfully real, but was apparently something like a holograph. On the holographic image was a male and female standing next to each other.
“I am glad to see that the Destined have finally received this message,” the male on the holographic image said.
“He looks just like Daniel, another of Akira’s male friends from school,” I said, obviously referring to the male on the holographic image. “He used to be a friend of mine until we parted ways.”
“My name is Daniel Housachi, and this is Nicolai Fai,” the male on the holographic image said.
“Now that is very weird, he has the exact same name as Akira’s friend Daniel,” I said.
“And the female looks like -” Jackie started.
“We are exactly who you think we are, just from another time-line. Due to an accident that occurred, that to you would have been a few centuries ago, the time-line has been tampered with and is totally warped. I was actually born in the year 1984, yet this message is being recorded in the year 1458. I know it sounds strange, but you must know this to prevent this from happening again. You must stop...from...universe...Joseph...” Daniel said as the picture started going fuzzy at the end, cutting off some of what he said.
Then the recording ended, then the device turned itself off, and I closed the box, which I heard lock automatically afterwards.
       “Woah,” I said. “That...that...”
“That was weird,” Jackie said, finishing the sentence for me.
Then we stood there silent and astonished at what we just saw.
“Let’s go find Akira,” Roy said finally.
       “Yeah let’s,” I said.
We walked away from the building in ruins as I held the box in my hand to show Akira when we finally find him. I starred down at the box in my hands as we walked and thought about the image we had seen.
       “Uh, guys,” Jackie said suddenly.
I looked up from the box and saw a portal open in front of us, with zombies coming out. A bunch of the zombies grabbed Albert and made it impossible for us to save him since there were so many.
       “ALBERT!” I yelled.
Knowing there was no way to save Albert we ran through some of the zombies to try to escape, but we ended up surrounded by some more zombies that appeared. In the corner of my eye I saw Euan meet the same fate as Albert did.
“Go, I’ll hold them off,” I said, bravely and at the same time angry at the zombies.
Then, unexpectedly, a bunch of zombies jumped froward onto me.

[Akira]

“Ahh,” I heard someone scream from up ahead, that sounded like Aaron.
Me, Robert, Shaun, and Brandon ran toward the scream and found my friends surrounded by zombies. I pulled my sword out of it’s sheath a cut through the zombies to get to my other friends.
“Are you guys okay?” I asked, finishing the last of the zombies off.
       “Thanks Akira,” Jackie said.
“You’re really skilled with the sword Akira, where’d you learn how to do that?” Robert asked.
“I was self taught,” I said honestly.
       “Wow, that’s impressive,” Robert said.
“Certainly is,” Shaun said, with a slight bit of anger in his voice.
“Where are Roy, Albert, Euan, and Aaron?” I asked looking around.
Jackie and the others lowered their heads and I had an idea of what happened. I looked around hoping to at least find their corpses so that we could bury them but I didn’t find anything, except for a metal box.
“No...” I said falling to my knees. “First Michael...and now them.”
“Akira, who are they?” Sam asked, changing the subject and referring to Shaun, Brandon, and Robert.
I wiped the tears from my eyes and got up slowly, so that no of the others could see that I was crying.
“Oh...sorry. I forgot to introduce you,” I said.
       “Are you okay?” Jackie asked.
       “Yeah,” I said.
       “Introduce us first,” Brandon said.
“Okay, this is Brandon, Robert, and Shaun,” I said, pointing to each of them as I said their names.
“Hi,” they said after I introduced them.
“And this is Scott, Sam, Doug, Thomas, Jackie, and Alan,” I said pointing to each of them as I said their names.
“So that’s...ten people, plus the five people that died which were Roy, Albert, Euan, Aaron, and Michael,” Jackie said.
I slowly walked up to a boulder and punched it, splitting it in half. Then I dropped to my knees and lowered my head, and wanted to cry but I couldn’t since I was more angry than sad.
“Maybe he is not strong enough...maybe...” a voice in my head said.
I looked up from the ground to see right in front of me away from the boulder I split, and a portal suddenly opened and a truck was coming right toward me. I closed my eyes to prepare to get hit by the truck because I didn’t have enough time to move out of the way. Then I heard tires screeching to a stop and I felt the heat from the engine in my face and I heard a car or truck engine turned off. I opened my eyes and saw the truck stopped about 2 inches from my face. I had a feeling that this truck was the one that I drove back in our dimension. Then I stood up to see who was driving the truck, but when I looked through the front window I didn’t see anyone in the truck and I noticed the driver’s side door open. I signaled my friends to stay in front of the truck as I went around the back. From where I stood at the back of the truck my friends couldn’t see me. I looked into the back of the truck and saw weapons, computers, and other stuff in it. I knew right then that this was in fact the truck I had drove back in our dimension and I was curious on who had been driving it just now. Then I felt what seemed to be the tip of a gun barrel press against my back.
“Freeze or I’ll shoot,” a voice coming from behind me said.
“I’m not going to hurt you,” I said, trying to reason with the person holding the gun against my back.
“Put your hands in the air and turn around slowly,” the voice said.
I did just as the voice said and was surprised to see the source of the voice was my remaining male friend from school, that was a mix between African and Caucasian.
“Maurice?” I asked. “Is that you?”
“Akira? I can’t believe you’re alive, and you’re here as well?” Maurice asked. “I thought you were one of them for a second there.”
“One of them?” I asked, while my hands were still up in the air and Maurice still had the gun pointed at me.
“Akira, is something wrong?” I heard Jackie ask while he appeared from around the truck and saw Maurice holding the gun. “Woah, put the gun down buddy.”
“Oh, sorry about that,” Maurice said, placing the gun into it’s holster strapped around his waist. “There have been some people after me.”
“Who?” I asked, while putting my hands down, grabbed ammo from the back of the truck, took of the holster holding the handgun, and began to reload my handgun and rifle.
“I don’t know, but one of them looks just like you,” Maurice said. “I found out that these people are the ones creating the zombies and other monsters.”
“What?” I asked, turning back toward Maurice after done reloading my rifle and handgun. “You can’t be serious, there are people behind those monsters?”
“So is that why you grabbed Akira’s truck?” Jackie asked.
“Oh, this truck is yours? I didn’t know, I found it parked outside a restaurant and used it to escape,” Maurice said, then he looked and noticed his surroundings. “Where are we anyway? I saw a portal open up in front of me as I drove and wound up here.”
“We are in another dimension,” I said.
       “Another dimension?” Maurice asked.
“I’ll explain it more later, but first let’s go introduce you to my other friends,” I said.
We walked around to the front of the truck, and then found ourselves along with the rest of my friends surrounded by a type of monster I haven’t seen before. I grabbed for my rifle and noticed that it was missing, and I had left my handgun in it’s holster in the back of the truck. Being surrounded by this new type of monster I couldn’t go back and get my handgun or even look for my rifle.
“Great, do you have anything to get rid of there damn things?” Brandon asked.
“I still have grenades,” Jackie said, taking his backpack off, and opening it.
“And I have my handgun,” Maurice said, pulling it out as he was talking.
“With my sword we should be able to get rid of them,” I said, while grabbing for my sword from it’s sheath. “Crap, my sword is missing too.”
Jackie pulled out some grenades, pulled the pins, and threw them at the monsters, while Maurice shot at some of them. When the grenades exploded, smoke covered the area where the monsters were standing and I heard a clicking noise come from Maurice’s handgun.
       “I’m out,” Maurice said.
Me too,” Jackie said, looking into the now empty backpack.
“Well all the monsters are destroyed,” I said, as the smoke cleared and I noticed the monsters’ torn up bodies on the ground. “I’m going to look for my rifle and sword.”

[Maurice]

“I’ll go with you,” I said, offering Akira my assistance.
       “Okay, let’s go,” Akira said.
We started walking around to the back of the tuck , looking toward the ground for Akira’s sword and rifle.
“It’s not here, it may have been kicked somewhere. Let’s keep looking,” Akira said.
We continued to walk and walk in a zig zagging pattern, looking for Akira’s rifle and sword, until I noticed that I couldn’t see Akira’s other friends.
“Um, Akira,” I said trying to get his attention and tell him that I couldn’t see his friends anymore.
       “Yes?” Akira asked.
“I think we are lost, I don’t see your friends anymore,” I said.
“Just great, how are we going to go back?” Akira asked, looking around, noticing that every direction looked the same, and that it was impossible to tell which direction his friends could be.
“What is that?” I asked, noticing something at Akira’s feet and pointing to it but due to the thick fog at our feet I could barely see what it is.
Akira reached down and picked up a sword in it’s sheath and a rifle with a strap that came apart but was easily able to be fixed.
“Hey, good eye, it’s my sword and rifle,” Akira said, fixing the strap on the rifle and putting it and the sword in it’s sheath around his torso. “But I wonder how it got this far from the truck, it’s like someone moved it and placed it here, especially since I was using them earlier.”
“YOU ARE SMART AFTER ALL,” a loud booming and familiar voice said.
       “Who the...” Akira said.
“It’s him,” I said. “Let’s get out of here.”
       “I agree,” Akira said.
We quickly ran in the direction we thought was where the truck would be and found the truck and Akira’s brother, Alan, standing near the truck alone and waiting. I was relieved that we actually ran in the right direction to the truck, but I wondered where Akira’s friends went.
“Where are the others?” Akira asked, wondering the same thing apparently.
“They went looking for you two,” Alan said. “They had me wait here, you’ve been gone for a few hours.”
“But we were gone only for a few minutes,” Akira said.
“It must be him,” a voice said, and then a being appeared who I didn’t recognize at all.
“Hi Seek,” Akira said. “What do you mean by ‘him’?”
“I don’t know everything, I’m only human right now,” the person Akira called Seek said. “Your friend here knows more about him than I do, but I do know that someone who is connected to him is warping time.”
“Warping time, but how?” Akira asked. “And how can you -”
“My powers were reawakened like yours, but I know how to use mine more than you know how to use yours as I have had my powers awakened longer than you have,” Seek said. “I also don’t know how exactly this person is warping time.”
“HA, HA, HA...SEEK, YOU SHOULD PAY MORE ATTENTION,” the same loud booming and familiar voice from just earlier said.
“You must go, and find your friends, only then can you defeat him,” Seek said.
“Um, excuse me,” I said, trying to get their attention as politely as possible.
“Oh, sorry,” Akira said. “Let’s look for the others.”
Then Seek disappeared as fast as he had appeared. Akira then got into the driver’s seat, while Alan sat in the back seat of the truck and I sat in the passenger’s seat. We buckled our seatbelts and Akira drove around slowly and looked out through the two side windows and the front window, until we came across a dimensional portal that was closing.
“The others must have gone through that portal,” Akira said.
“But it’s closing, how are we going to get through?” I asked.
“With the D.R.G.,” Akira said, pulling out a handgun shaped device from his right jacket pocket.
Akira stepped out of the truck, pointed the handgun shaped device that he called D.R.G. into the air, and pulled the trigger. A light blue beam of light shot out of the barrel of the D.R.G. and formed a portal very similar to the one that opened in front of me when I was driving Akira’s truck. The portal grew to a size only big enough for us to walk through and not big enough for the truck to go through.
“You guys go on ahead, I’m going to stay with the truck,” Akira said.
“We’re not going to leave you behind,” I said.
“Then why not just widen the portal so you can all go,” a voice said, that sounded a lot like Seek, said, then Seek appeared. “All you have to do is connect the Powerhedron to the top of the D.R.G..”
“Really? Ok, I’ll give it a try,” Akira said.
Akira pulled out a tetrahedron shaped device out if his right jacket pocket and placed it on top of a square panel on the top of the barrel of the D.R.G.. Then he pointed the D.R.G. at the open portal and pulled the trigger, a dark blue beam of light shot from the barrel of the D.R.G. and into the open portal. The portal then widened enough so that we could fit the truck through. Then we all got into the truck, I got into the passenger’s seat, Alan got into the back seat, and Akira got into the driver’s seat. Akira started the truck up as Seek disappeared once again, and we drove through the portal.
