[Akira]

“Well, to answer your question, my people eat humans. It’s not the first time we have seen your species all together, I just never knew what your species was called until you said it. The thing is -” Ry said.
       “What?” I asked.
“Woah, take a look at this,” Michael said, changing the subject.
I looked around the room and saw hieroglyphics of some sort all over the walls.
“This is the legend of the ‘Destined’,” Ry said.
       “What?” Aaron asked.
“The ‘Destined’ is a group who’s destiny is to protect and change the universe that the original five ‘Destined’ created,” Ry said. “The ‘Chosen One’ is the only one that can read these inscriptions.”
“So, Akira, can you read them?” Scott asked.
       “I’ll try,” I said.
I starred at the wall and started trying to read it, oddly enough I understood exactly what it was saying and I never saw these inscriptions before.
“So can you?” Jeff asked, repeating the question Scott asked just earlier.
“Yeah but, I’ve never seen these inscriptions before in my life. I don’t know why I understand these inscriptions, I just do,” I said.
“So what does it say?” Alan asked.
“Well it is difficult for me to explain but, I will summarize it the best that I can,” I said.
“Allow me,” a voice, coming from inside my head, said.
Then a being that I recognized as Seeker from one of my dreams appeared.
“So you weren’t just part of my dream,” I said.
“Wait, he was in your dreams?” Ry asked.
“Yes, I remember you perfectly. You were able to stay out of time,” Seeker said.
“So why is Akira the ‘Chosen One’?” Albert asked. “Why not someone more important?”
“You are all chosen,” Seeker said. “Otherwise you would not have survived the attacks in your dimension.”
“Good point,” I said, “but why us?”
“First you must save the Antans. I will tell you once you succeed but, if you fail then you will die,” Seeker said.
“Save them from what?” Alan asked.
“From a species called the ‘Hagsir’,” Seeker said.
“Hag-sir?” Thomas asked, while trying to pronounce the name.
“The Hagsir resemble spiders from your dimension. The difference is that they speak a language no one as of yet has been able to understand and that they are much larger than the spiders in your dimension,” Seeker said.
“He’s awfully wordy isn’t he?” Doug asked.
“Yeah, I noticed that too,” Jackie said.
“Spider people? This is stupid,” Roy said.
Then everyone except me, Ry, and Seeker laughed at what Roy said, including Roy. I gave them a type of look to make them stop laughing and they stopped. I noticed fear in their eyes and came to the thought that it wasn’t the look I gave them that made them stop laughing it was something behind me. I slowly turned around to find a spider the size of a car crawling through a dimensional portal. I grabbed the rifle strapped around my torso and shot it in the head, which caused it’s head to explode with green colored guts flying everywhere. Then I walked up to the rest of the creature’s body, which was partly hanging out of the portal and kicked it back into the portal. After I kicked it back in the portal closed.
“So I’m assuming that was a Hagsir,” I said.
       “That is correct,” Seeker said.
“Yuck,” Aaron said, looking at the green colored guts on the ground.
“You must use your reawakened ability, Akira, and disguise yourself as an Antan,” Seeker said.
“I can’t prevent my people from trying to eat you much longer,” Ry said.
“You said that your people eat humans, why don’t you want to eat us?” Scott asked.
“I am against eating humans, and I am able to control that hunger,” Ry said.
“We’re glad to hear that you are against eating humans,” my friends said.
“So is Ry a girl name?” Roy asked Ry.
“What? You mean you couldn’t tell by her feminine voice and her breasts that she is female?” I asked Roy, totally surprised that he had asked Ry that question.
“Yes, I am female and also princess of the Antans,” Ry said. “There is only one male born every ten thousand years in the colony and he is meant for the queen as a mate.”
“Ten thousand years? That’s a long time,” I said.
“It’s worth the wait though,” Ry said.
“I think I know what you mean,” Seeker said.
“You mean you don’t know what she means exactly?” I asked.
“I don’t know everything,” Seeker said.
“I thought you did,” I said.
“Well you thought wrong,” Seeker said.
“I wonder what it would be like to mate with a different species,” I heard Ry said.
I looked toward Ry and saw that she wasn’t talking. I started to think that I may have heard her thoughts. I noticed that I couldn’t hear any more thoughts from anyone in the room, and figured it had just been my imagination.
“Did you say something Ry?” I asked.
“Me? I didn’t say anything,” Ry said.
I caught Ry looking up and down at me checking me out.
“Ew,” I said, disgusted at the thought of being a mate with an Antan.
       “What’s the matter, Akira?”Aaron asked.
“Nothing Aaron,” I said. “Seeker, how do we disguise ourselves as Antans?”
“Please just call me Seek,” Seeker said. “See the Datavice you have, open it up.”
“So Seeker is his name?” Jackie asked.
“Yeah but, don’t ask me why I now his name, I just do for some reason,” I said, pulling the Datavice out of my pocket. “So what is your full name Seek?”
“Seeker Chang, or just Seek for short,” Seek said.
“How do we change into an Antan?” Albert asked.
“Akira must first awaken the ability to change asleep within all of you,” Seek said.
“How do I do that?” I asked, flipping the Datavice’s cover up and seeing several buttons and a small display screen.
“This button releases an ‘Awakening Beam’ so to speak that comes out through here,” Seek said, first pointing to one button on the Datavice that I made sure to remember and then to the thin black screen on the front side of the Datavice. “Point the screen toward your comrades and press the button.”
I pointed the screen toward my friends and pressed the button just like Seek said. A greenish-blue beam shot out from the screen on the Datavice, separated into smaller beams, and hit each one of my friends. Then two greenish-blue beams shot out of the screen and hit Ry and Seek this time.
“Huh? Why did one of the beams hit me?” Ry asked.
“That I don’t know,” Seek said. “We will have to find out.”
“Anyway, what is the next step in changing into an Antan?” Doug asked.
“That is simple, just think of the name of the person or creature and picture that same person or creature in your head to change into them. You can become whoever or whatever you want as long as you know the name of it and can picture it in your head,” Seek said.
“There he goes being wordy again,” Euan said.
Then everyone including Seek and me laughed, which was surprising because I didn’t think Seek had any sense of humor.
“Well, let’s get this started,” Scott said. “I have one question though Seek. Are there any consequences or drawbacks with changing?”
“None at all,” Seek said, confidently.
       “Even better,” Sam said.
“I’m going to do it,” Jackie said.
Then everyone, but Ry, Seek, and me, closed there eyes to picture an Antan and started transforming into one. First their head changed and then their bodies, this only took a second which was surprising since I thought it would take longer than that. I noticed that their clothing had disappeared except for those who had jackets on and any weapons they were carrying, which I figured was just part of the transformation. When they were done they were standing on their back four legs, well actually their only legs in this case, since what would have been their front two legs were instead arms.
“Ry was right about the hunger Antans have for humans, Akira. I have a craving to eat you,” Jackie said.
“You better fight that craving,” I said, a little worried that I might be eaten by one of my friends.
“Not to worry, the leader of the ‘Destined’, also known as the ‘Chosen One’, can never die,” Ry said.
“Akira is leader of the Destined? Wait does that mean we’re the -” Alan started to ask.
“Destined? Yes you are in fact the Destined,” Seek said.
“I figured as much,” I said, remembering that part of the legend that I read off the wall. “I read that part.”
“Then why didn’t you tell us that?” Scott asked.
“Well like I had said earlier, it is difficult for me to explain it,” I said, while transforming into an Antan myself and noticed that my jacket, rifle, sword, and handgun stayed. “Anyway it’s good to know that I can’t die.”

[Michael]

“Now you must meet the queen of the Antans,” Seek said.
“I shall take you to her,” Ry said.
“What your not coming with us Seek?” Akira asked, putting the Datavice back into his pocket.
“I must be going, we will meet again,” Seek said, then disappeared.
The wall behind us creaked open like two giant doors. Ry walked through the doorway that had just opened and Akira followed.
“Come on, stop slacking behind,” Jackie said to the rest of us, following Akira.
We walked a few steps behind Akira along the long throne room floor carpet to where the queen was sitting on her throne. Beside the queen was the King and the only male Antan of this colony for this period of time.
“Why do we have to be female Antans?” I asked, complaining because of the fact that at the moment we were all female.
“Because if we were male Antans, the other Antans would be suspicious, especially since that fact that there is only ONE male born every ten thousand years,” Jackie said, while scratching one of his Antan breasts, probably because it was irritating him as well.
       “Oh right,” I said.
When we reached the actual throne we found Ry talking to the queen.
“Mother, these are the Destined,” Ry said.
“Thank you Ry,” the queen said, then looked at us. “You are very smart to have changed from your human bodies, Akira and friends.”
“How did she -” Akira started to ask.
“I apologize, I have a habit of reading a person’s mind before asking the person. My name is Hakodes Bugfok Rigjoe III, but you may call me H,” the queen said.
“So then since you read my mind, you know all about me and my friends?” Akira asked.
“No, I just read your minds for your names, that is all. I don’t want to violate your privacy any more than that,” H said.
“Well thank you for that,” Akira said. “So Seek mentioned that we had to help you and your people first, how can we help?”
“Go to the next dimension and eradicate all of the Hagsir,” H said.
“Okay, let’s go guys,” Akira said, while pulling the D.R.G. out of his jacket pocket.
Akira pointed the D.R.G. in no particular direction just away from us and pulled the trigger. A portal appeared like before, and we all walked into the portal in our new Antan forms. When we emerged from the portal on the other side, we looked around to see what it looked like. There were giant boulders and piles of dirt everywhere, fog which was thickest at our feet, and there is so little light that it would be pitch black if it weren’t for the torches that were attached to some of the boulders with webbing. There was one other thing, the atmosphere was very eerie, I had a feeling something bad would happen, something very bad. Then I noticed that the reason why I had this feeling was that there were no Hagsir in site.
“Okay, this is spooking me,” Doug said, while pointing to the first Antan skeleton. “Forget this, I’m NOT staying here any longer.”
I thought to myself wondering why an Antan would have a skeleton since I had figured the had an exoskeleton, apparently I was wrong and what appeared to be an exoskeleton must have been skin. Then I heard a munching noise, which in this environment, was not a good sound. I felt a sharp pain in my bak right leg and looked back to find my leg in the mouth of a Hagsir.
“Ah, help me!” I yelled, as the Hagsir started pulling me into it’s mouth causing me to collapse onto the ground.
Akira grabbed the rifle strapped around his torso and shot the Hagsir in the mouth causing it’s head and the rest of it’s body to explode. Then Akira and the others changed back to their human forms, and their clothing reappeared. I on the other hand was still in Antan form, bleeding a lot because my back right leg was ripped off and devoured by the Hagsir. I was glad to see that our clothing didn’t totally disappear. I tried to stand up and was having extreme difficulty since one of my legs was gone. Akira assisted me in standing by holding my right arm around his neck.
“You okay?” Akira asked me. “Why don’t you change back into human form?”
I tried to concentrate on changing back but I was having difficulty thinking because of the pain. I looked ahead of us to find that we were completely surrounded by Hagsir, and after a couple of seconds the others noticed that we were surrounded as well.
“Uh, Akira,” Alan said, making sure he saw that we were surrounded.
“I see it Alan,” Akira said.

[Akira]

We were completely surrounded by Hagsir and Michael was still in Antan form slowly bleeding to death, but of course you already knew that.
“Change back Michael, before you bleed to death,” I said.
“The pain...it’s hard to concentrate,” Michael said.
       “Do it!” I said.
Michael started to change back to human as was progressing very well. Then suddenly a Hagsir jumped forward and swallowed Michael whole.
“Damn you, bastard,” I said to the Hagsir, while grabbing the sword from it’s sheath and cut the Hagsir’s head off.
Then I cut the Hagsir open in hope of finding Michael still ok, but sadly I only found the skeleton of a partially human and partially Antan body. Seeing this I was filled with so much anger that I cutting every single Hagsir I could find open through their stomach, spilling their guts out. Then Jackie tossed me a grenade from the pack on his back, I pulled the pin, and threw it at a group of Hagsir. I continued slashing at Hagsir, cutting them open to clear a path to escape.
“Run, I’ll cover your backs,” I told my friends.
They ran off ahead of me, while I sheathed my sword, and used up all the ammo in my rifle and handgun on the Hagsir. Then I started running after my friends to catch up to them. Later I found that I lost the Hagsir, my friends, and where I was. I decided to look around and caught a glimpse of someone hiding behind a boulder in the corner of my eye. I thought to myself that it may be my friends, and decided to call out to them.
“Guys, is that you?” I asked toward the person or people that were hiding behind the boulder.
“Akira? Is that Akira’s voice that I hear?” a different but still familiar voice asked.
Then from behind the boulder emerged my three remaining male friends except for one other from middle and high school that I haven’t told you about yet. They were Robert, Shaun and Brandon, I was so surprised to know that all my friends from school had survived the attacks in our dimension, except for my friend that was a mix between African American and Caucasian. Robert, Shaun, and Brandon are three more of my male Caucasian friends. Then I wondered how they even got to this dimension.
“I’m surprised to see that you guys survived the attacks. How did you guys get here?” I asked them.
“We barely survived the attacks from those monsters. We had totally run out of ammunition and were running away from a group of monsters, when a portal of some sort opened in front of us on the ground, we fell into it, and wound up here,” Shaun said.
“You were the one that ran away, me and Brandon were fighting them off,” Robert said, grabbing the color of Shaun’s shirt.
“Okay, okay, stop arguing, we all ran away,” Brandon said.
“Have you guys seen anyone else around here?” I asked.
“A group of people ran by a little while ago,” Brandon said.
       “Which way?” I asked.
“That way, we’ll help you find them,” Robert said.
       “Thanks,” I said.
