Bureau of Transformation Victim Support

The Fae Agreement:

Upon discovering the alternate dimensions of the Faelands*, many organizations sent out explorers to investigate. Most did not return or were never the same. There are a few Faelands known to the Bureau where the creatures have a knack for transforming people. These fae have been documented to the best of the ability of the bureau though these lands are wild with magic and the creatures are mischievous so no information can be fully trusted

After the bureau took interest in the fae, an emissary of Queen Quilane came to us with a proposal. It would require the bureau to send transformed victims to their realm to be restored. Though they could never return to the mortal realms.

While knowledge was limited on the Faelands, one thing was that was known was only the foolish and desperate made deals with fae. The bureau might be considered cowards for having the sense to not stand in the way of a magic user or beings with higher technology, it was not foolish. A deal was made anyway when the Fae threatened to go through all case files and seek out victims for themselves.

The deal was a simple one on paper but the bureau isn’t naive and knows it’s more complicated.

-The Bureau is to refer those who ask three times if there’s anything else it can do to the Queen’s Court
-Only twenty cases at a time could be sent to the court
-The Queen would decide when the court was to be open
-Anyone who stepped into their realm were now citizens of the Queen

-The victims and petitioners were only to be told they would go on a waiting list.

Unfortunately there is no way to know if the fae are holding up their end of the bargain. No one had ever returned to confirm this information and sending any agents through the portal would make them fae citizens.

While there is a lack of certainty, the Bureau continues to hold up their end of the deal and anyone who is sent through will have their case closed permanently.

*Any alternate dimension with strange creatures are considered to be Faelands.
