Bureau of Transformation Victim Support

Creature Report

Name: Swap Gremlin
Classification: Fae
Appearance: Unknown
Casefiles: Section 3-2

Description:
Swap Gremlins are nasty and wicked creatures that love to play with humans. They do this by swapping and rearranging body parts between one or more people. They are extremely fast and live in pocket dimensions and as such there’s been no confirmed sighting. They are known for their insidious laughter, a noise that stays with their victims forever.

Powers:
The ability to swap and rearrange body parts between their victims. The victim will keep control over their original body part, no matter who or where it ends up on.

Victims describe a gust of wind followed by a pinch before they notice their swap.

Habitat:
Swap Gremlins are interdimensional beings, those who have passed the threshold between our reality and there describe it as being a colorless cave system. In our reality they infest residential areas which range from a single house to an entire block. They also infest hotels, and apartment buildings.

Behavior:
Swap Gremlins are nocturnal beings, striking only at night. They will sometimes bring their victims back to their dimension but will mostly leave them in our reality. They are mischievous and taunt their victims.

They possess a wide range of personalities and some gremlins seem to have preferences for particular kinds of swaps. Some victims might be left as human in appearance while others could become unrecognizable.

Additional Details:
Swap Gremlins are the number one cause for body horror in the world. Some of their rearrangements are so grotesque the victim begs to be put out of their misery. Even those kept reasonably normal in appearance struggle to maintain a normal life as the parts they end up with they have no control over. Someone might end up with their eyes on another person’s head, making both parties effectively blind unless they learn how to communicate with each other.

Fortunately Swap Gremlins are not covered by the Magic User Agreement (MUA), giving the bureau full autonomy when dealing with them. Unfortunately any action taken against swap gremlins are limited at best.

Action Plan:
-Identify an infestation
-Quarantine the residence
-Evacuate all abled Victims
-Relocate victims to a Body Horror Care Center (B.H.C.C.)

Under no circumstances are agents to enter an infected residence.
